Ord Community Commissary

The team at the commissary is always amazing! They are helpful and cheerful. It makes my shopping trips somewhat enjoyable, and I HATE SHOPPING.

I'm a former meat worker here. Did you know they will specifically cut your steak to the size and thickness you want. As long as you make an order a head of time. You can also buy the whole primal meat in the bag at cost,but you'll have to cut it down yourself. Also, you can order buy produce by the case at cost. Thanks for your service.

Been faithfully coming for my main grocery run for going on 6 years.

Staff is always friendly and helpful when I need help. Seeing how the staff has not gone through constant changes tells you something about how the place is run. Good job, Commissary Team.

Definitely recommend coming here first before heading to other places in town.

The wife and I hadn't been in the Ft. Ord Commissary in 40 years, we found it to be a very nice experience. Well stocked, very pleasant people working there. Easy check out, some great prices on meats.

Everything is carefully arranged, the products are fresh and good and great prices.

We moved from Santa Clara to Santa Cruz 6 months ago. Have been using Ft Ord instead of Moffett Field. It is so much bigger and has products in stock more often than not. Workers are very friendly and helpful.

This is very updated, contrary to one person’s statement. It has so many more options than regular Grocery stores. My husband and I love this store. Thank you so much for the cleanliness, wide aisles and so much more.

The military commissary is well stocked, service-oriented staff, and generous parking.
Close to PX and gas station. Still good.

Nice grocery store stocked with everything you might possibly need. Always extra clean with a friendly helpful staff. This is my favorite grocery store. You have to show a military ID card upon entering this store. It's for active duty or veterans like myself that have a VA card. The prices in this store are probably across the board 10% cheaper than most grocery stores. Not all that much. They have a great meat dept. Meat prices... especially pork and chicken, are considerably less than say Safeway or Lucky's. Shopping here has always been a good experience. Don't forget the people that bag your groceries and bring them to your car work for tips only!

Staff is great and friendly. Meat and vegetables are fresh. Great variety of selection and can't beat the prices of outside. Even with the pandemic, love the fact that military families don't hoard and plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning supplies. Everyone wears masks and don't complain about it.

As a service connected veteran I am able to shop at the commissary. The store is well laid out, the shelves are stocked, the fruit is nice.
The only complaint is in the fruit and veggie section is not many fresh herbs.

I love that the aisles are nice and wide.

One day I lost my prescription Ray-Ban sunglasses while shopping; I didn’t realize it until I got in my car after an hour and a half shopping. I ended up retracing my steps and to my surprise and delight…there they were on the table where I stopped to get some coupons.

99.9% of clerks are kind and helpful, I like that young kids handle the bagging and taking out groceries on Sundays; it’s a good lesson in responsibility.

This place has the best service, and great prices,make me feel good to be a vet.

I haven't been in this facility since I was stationed here from '89-'92 and it seemed like no time had passed. Very friendly and professional customer service. 🇺🇸🙏

Good selection and good prices. The staff is friendly. The facility is old but clean.

I really enjoy shopping here. We save at least $20-$30/week going here rather than other places in town. They have a great selection, their produce has been very good, and the employees are very nice. We live in PG and find it's worth the trip.

Good place for groceries. Decent selection of produce and fresh meat if you don't go during payday weekends. Not a lot of registers open but I don't usually see much wait time at the cashier line or self-checkout during the earlier part of a weekday.

Veterans with a service connected disability are now allowed to shop at all Military Commissarys as of January 1st. This place is awesome. The prices are so much lower then any other place I've ever been to you can't even compare them. This is one of the best benefits they have given us.
