Budget Car Rental

Staff is friendly and the price of the mid SUV I rented was good. I booked it online about a week before Thanksgiving. Did not think there was going to be many cars to choose from but there was.

I was a bit worried about this car rental having seen their online reviews. However, my experience was 5 stars! I booked and prepaid online, thinking I'll need to pay additionally for insurance when picking the car up, but it turned out it was already included. Great. I got Hyundai Elantra with 20k miles on the clock in mint condition. Car did great on Tioga Road on multiple days - no need for any SUVs there, in fact this little Hyundai handling and low suspension helped on curvy roads like this. Given low speed limits in USA more HP isn't necessary, but it ends up as a bit"soul -less" car. But big plus for fuel economy. Pick up time -20 mins, return 5 mins. Deposit returned on the spot. Can't wish for anything better. Great value for money. Thanks!

My experience was great. The lady helping me did everything she could to make it a great experience. First vehicle I got had a nail so she quickly did the exchange. She was not pushy at all about extra services. Great place to rent cars. Probably my to go place even if i have to drive 40 mins. Thank you!!!

My brother actually rented an SUV from here. He seemed happy with the service given here. My late Father chose Budget over their competitors many times in the past and always had good things to say about them.

Fast and friendly.

First of all CHERYL IS AMAZING. It’s clear with the bad reviews they don’t understand how car rentals work. Cheryl is super accommodating and does everything she can. Sometimes there simply are not vehicles. When booking with 3rd parties or less then 24 hours before there is NO WAY they can guarantee vehicle selected. They only have what’s on site. 3rd parties don’t know their inventory and last minute rentals don’t allow enough time to source said vehicle. I have been to MANY car rental locations. Cheryl is the reason I do not use hertz in Merced. She is fabulous, and very good at what she does. Not saying things are perfect IE I have received a vehicle(jeep) when I rented an economy car. But they still went above and beyond to assist. In fact just booked another rental here. Use for business and thankful for staff like Cheryl.

Nice people and however i didn't get the car ordered, the replaced one was fine. The only thing i didn't like was that i ordered specific gps and i did not get one. But i did pay for it at planning 9 months. And i still had to use my own phone. Can i get a refund for this? But service was oke.

FRIENDLY STAFF. The only reason why I gave this a 4 out of 5 is because its a smaller location that doesn't have the "fast break" services or that much inventory. If you ordered online at least a day prior it will take way less time to get your car than if you just walk in.

Im used to the fast service of airports but this location really isn't that slow if you ordered in advance. It's usually one person thats doing everything so you have to be patient.

Overall decent experience even without the fastbreak service.

No after closing hours dropbox. If my train leaves before you open, customer service has "No answers."

No service in vehicles and suv was 3 quarts low ...travelled 3 1/2 hours to hear a loud ticking to discover no oil ,no window washer..hit a storm was praying that nothing else was wrong.Called the number got no reimbersment or satisfactory customer service ,was told would have to speak to a supervisor,place on hold for 20 minutes .Hung up called back same person ,same response. Gave up.

Nice employee but they don't wash or clean the cars you have to sanitize the car your self I found 3 other people's rental agreements in the car

I wasnt able to rent a car because I needed a bank card. So hope in a couple days ill have the bank card and ill be able to rent. Im just wait on my BofA bank card in the Mail.
