Nice store. It was clean and the staff was helpful when you were looking for things. They also have a restaurant inside with good Mexican food!!

I had a wonderful experience here! They have the most amazing food for super cheap that will feed a entire family of 8 for $20!! See my pic! Everyone was friendly and the were quick. Bilingual (spanish & english) propane on the outside. Fresh flowers, Fresh cakes, beautiful produce beautifully displayed, fresh baked bread..From 8am -8pm there's a western union, money orders etc. There is a security guard the whole place is decorated like a pueblo in paintings. They rotisserie chicken right in front of you, make tacos and burritos right in front of you there is a place to eat which sits up to 80 people. You can reserve this spot for a party. In Particular I'd like to thank Abraham, Jennifer and Nadia who had AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Friendly and polite and answered all my questions. I have made this the go to spot for cheap and quick family dinners and produce shopping I can't find elsewhere!!

I actually went to the food court (had to bring my food home because of covid-19). Had some delicious tacos and the best of bestest Agua Fresca. They have great variety of aguas frescas. I had the Jamaica with Freza. Incredible!!! Pricy, but I've seen all tacos go up in price since the pandemic. I truly recommend the food court of Cardenas Markets. 👍👍💪💪

They have really good meat and produce section and their carniceria is really good too they have some really good prices

I love the meat Dept and l know you ALL will too. Those country style Ribs came out finger licking good, nice and thick Ribs with out bones. Bet you all know what I'm going to eat today 😁 not only do they sell the meat behind the counter, you can walk thru an aisle and buy packaged meat if you choose, l think that's GREAT!!! says Tony the tiger.

This was my first time going there. I got the fruit salad with the sweet sauce on it. I also got the Tajin seasoning. I got the biggest one they had. It was refreshing especially on a hot day and so good.

Love the self check out. Usually a decent selection of pan dulce. I haven’t ordered food from here but I’ll have to try it out eventually. Pretty clean store with a lot of produce.

One of my favorite places to shop! We buy so much fresh meat and produce for such a small cost. Go early in the day for the best picks on produce cause it sells fast especially with the deals. Also the tortas are amazing from the kitchen! They load it up with EVERYTHING! The homemade chips, tortillas, and more are always a treat to buy

Excellent selection of food. Cardenas Market has: Mexican Restaurant, Mexican Bakery, fruit bar, fully staffed meat and seafood department, tortilla factory, tortilla chips factory also. One stop shopping. The only thing missing is a pharmacy. No worries, Rite Aid is next door! Rite Aid has closed 1/2022. If you want, shrimp cocktail from the deli go between 11am - 1pm; it usually sells out quickly.
9/10/2022 They added a big plasma screen TV in the deli dining area, had sports programming on. It's a nice diversion. Had a shrimp 🦐 cocktail today with fruit juice and made in store jello (with other flavor chunks, yum yum).
Don't forget Cardenas Market has taco Tuesday, tacos are very inexpensive only for today; only on Tuesdays.
11/2023 Cardenas Market has added 4 self checkout stations. I am not a regular customer. They may have been added a year ago, IDK.

They had all the items we need for tamales and drinks

We have shopped at Cardenas off and on for several years now. The store is always so clean and tidy. Always a wonderful selection of produce and good prices too. Their deli section with the meat, fish, and cheese is awesome! We have never been disappointed with anything from your store. And the employees are always so nice and helpful.

Love this store since it opened. I live by Rancho San miguel. But I'd rather cross town and pay more for better quality and a cleaner store and awesome staff. Shout out to manager Claudia and señora Maria at the cash registers and to Aldo in the taqueria and last but not least Issac in the meat department. You guys are awesome.

Good pork tamales and hot sauces for lunch to dine inside

This store is great for grocery shopping. I am glad they opened because we needed a new, nearby store to shop at in Merced that has good food. The limes here are one of the best ones I have ever bought and the tortillas are very good. Though I recommend the yellow homemade tortillas rather than the white ones as they get hard easily.

Love the meat counter, great prices and I can get as much or as little as I want. Only problem was the butcher lady didn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish. But praise God I had my Spanish speaking friend with me. Prices out side of meat counter are a little high, but they have good sales.

I love Cardenas market. Good grocery selection, and their desserts/ fruits/ and hot food at their cafe is pretty good. It's clean, organized, I've never seen this market dirty or messy. This was the only market I finally found "flanken ribs"- to make Hawaiian style short ribs. Love their pozole & menudo they have on Saturday's & Sunday's. Their taco Tuesday's tacos for 1$ are pretty good..

It was our first time shopping in this store an hour before closing. I gave it 5 star for the excellent customer service by Sal from the meat department. I can tell he was busy cleaning up but he was still very friendly and helpful when I needed help getting 6 gallons of water from the top shelf. Afterwards he continued to help us in the meat department as well and my mother left happy. She had bought shrimp, beef tripe, beef meat with bone in, and more beef meat that was on sale. Yes, we will be coming back to this store with clean aisles, fresh looking meats and nicely piled vegetables.
