This place was amazing. The man working there was incredibly helpful and nice. There is a massive collection of so many unique things here. I ended up getting a few things that stood out because I was in a little bit of a rush, but I could have easily spent 2 more hours looking through some of the things here. Would definitely recommend stopping by.

My husband and I had such a fun time in this store! There are so many impressive minerals and crystals, as well as fossils and bones. Very cool little place, plus the woman working the store today was super friendly and knowledgeable on the inventory. Definitely recommend

My family had a great time learning from Rob Sula, (“A real paleontologist!” as my youngest says.)! He spent at least 20 minutes talking to our boys (ages 6 and 9) about fossils, minerals, man made items, and life! We enjoyed how well he was able to disseminate highly scientific information to our boys at an age-appropriate level and teach them about all of the items they had questions about.

A great shop with amazing historically significant items, for sure (the hand axe, fossils, meteorites, etc.), but Rob was what really made our visit special. We’ll be sure to visit EVERY time we’re in Fort Bragg.

Stumbling into this store was definitely the highlight of our trip! There were so many cool things to see, some fossils you’re even allowed to touch. Rob was so friendly we enjoyed all the cool info he shared about them. Cant wait to come back.

I have always loved rocks, minerals, fossils, etc, so I went in to see what they had to offer. I was beyond impressed as the two gentlemen there were career paleontologists and geologists. They enthusiastically shared their knowledge and experience, and made the pieces I bought even more special than they already were.

Literal geologist’s heaven! I was here over the weekend and spent 30 minutes just looking at the minerals and fossils. If you love to collect rocks, this place has pretty reasonable price. The clerks are geologist and paleontologists, who are soo very nice. You can tell that they love what they do. I will definitely come back when I visit again.

Amazing shop for all the rock hounds out there. The shop has the usual polished stones and geo's that you see at most rock shops.

What is different and work stopping here is the fossils on display. One of the owners has personally dug up several of the fossils that are on display and for sale. In addition, there is a t-rex jaw bone on display and a cat of a triceratops skull.

This is a great shop to support and well worth stopping to look at the offerings or talk to the owner.

Far and away the best rock shop I’ve ever been to. I travel to Fort Bragg frequently to visit family and do “recreational ethnobotanical fieldwork” and every time I make sure to stop by and pester Gary and Rob with my endless questions and chatter. This is NOT a metaphysical crystal shop, but a collection of scientific specimens operated by scientists. Gary is a geologist and Rob is a paleontologist.

The small space is extremely well stocked and organized, with plenty of back stock just waiting to be put on the shelves. From small, inexpensive specimens (there’s a whole cabinet that is $4 or less) up to over $10,000; you’ll definitely find something worth bringing home. Each specimen comes with a card that includes type of specimen, location collected, and even the chemical formula!

Visited this place years ago and I still have fond memories of it. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and has many stories to tell :) I kept coming back for more crystals and fossils to make wire wrap jewelry. They have the biggest selection of ammonite fossils I have ever seen in person. I am still making jewelry from the items I purchased here years ago and get compliments on them every day.

We were strolling through town on our vacation here like we always do and decided to stop in again and look around (my wife loves rocks). If you see something you like but is out of your price zone ask, as they may have more of lesser price. We found a stunning piece that was perfect at what we were willing to spend in their box that wasn't on direct display. It was such a great piece it really should have gone for more IMO but I'm not a geologist. They seem to be knowledgeable and are very friendly and love their craft. They obviously love what they do. Even if you don't buy, definitely take a look.

What an incredible gem (pun intended) of a store hidden in Fort Bragg. Probably my new favorite shop. My family and I are just getting into collecting minerals and so we just couldn't get enough of this place. The owner was super helpful and friendly and gave us advice on how to get started with the hobby. We bought way too much here, but everything is very reasonably priced. I always felt like I was getting the better end of the deal. We seriously spent hours in here and then came back a couple days later to see (and buy, of course) more. When I came back, I was looking for a specific specimen and didn't quite like the ones displayed, but they let me look through boxes of them to find just the right one that I loved. I bought a display cabinet for my home just to show off the cool stuff I got at this store. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Why haven't you gone here yet? Staff simply put are amazing and great people to talk to and are extremely knowledgeable. Specimens on display are also gorgeous. I'm coming back for that megalodon tooth, I swear!

Gary the shop owner is the man! He's a Geologist and used to teach so he's super fun to talk to. His shop is amazingly beautiful as the names states but go see for yourself. Don't be afraid to ask questions as Gary loves to talk about Minerals, Fossils and Crystals and how they were formed. His prices are fair and he even gave me some fossilized dinosaur poop! He has rocks you can buy and bust open at his shop and mine was loaded with beautiful crystals. I bought a few other things as well! I spent 6 hours there over 2 days time lol! I love Beautiful Earth!

This is the best gem, mineral, and fossil shop I’ve ever been to… and I go to them everywhere. Although you can certainly get tumbled rocks here if that’s what you’re looking for, this is an extremely rare store in that it focuses on having specimens! There are extremely affordable thumbnail specimens for people who wants that, and there are all sorts of fossils & mineral specimens of all price ranges. Much of what they have here is museum quality—sometimes better than what I’ve seen in museums. They have truly rare pieces and things are priced very fairly here. The two owners are wonderful people, friendly & knowledgeable, and they encourage people to take a more hand-on approach with the rocks. Where else can you see a sign in front of dinosaur bones that says “PLEASE TOUCH”?

This is easily one of my favorite rock shops I have visited! The people who work there are incredibly knowledgable and kind. The best part of this shop is the vast variety of stones, fossils, meteorites that they have and the price points are really fair and affordable. I have noticed so many rock shops are overpriced, but I love the different price tiers. Whether you want to spend under $20 or are a big collector looking for pricier pieces, this place has something for everyone. I will definitely be coming back next time I visit Fort Bragg!

This place was just amazing. Can you think of another place to buy a triceratops tooth for only $10? I did not plan to go here, but am very happy i stumbled across it.
