Best Western The Inn & Suites Pacific Grove

Monterey has a variety of hotels but when needing some quiet and calm surroundings I like this location best. Rooms are up to date and modern. Garage for your vehicle. Continental breakfast for a quick bite before hitting the sites that Monterey has to offer. Early mornings in the spring you can see the fog from the hills and the deer come down to graze. Staff greet you with a warm smile and are welcoming.

We love this BW when we go to Monterey. It’s in Pacific Grove. It is a smaller BW. Rooms are bigger, quieter, very clean and a decent breakfast. Our go to when we visit.

A great location - very quiet nights, within walking distance of great restaurants, beautiful beaches and gift shopping. Spacious rooms - we had a two bedroom with balcony. Very clean, good value.

I love the privacy - and you can get a full suite with 2 bedrooms, with doors on the rooms for privacy - when traveling with your kids. And the balcony is a great way to start your morning.

Very pleased with the two night stay here...we upgraded to a suite (Room 101) which is more like a full apartment ( vaulted ceilings, kitchen, two decks, fireplace). Carpet is outdated but overall amenities are nice, premises are well-kept and clean, safe parking. Location is ideal to local attractions. Friendly staff. Breakfast was general (bagel, waffle, coffee, juice, apples etc.) Would go back again

Great value. It is not fancy but very functional and clean. For the price we pay and location, it is a great deal. We got the family room which has two separate bedrooms. Rooms are very clean. Neighbors are quite. Breakfast is free and good. Please note no laundry on site.

We were on a road trip down the coast and stayed at two other best westerns so I wasn't expecting much, but this Best Western was definitely the nicest we've ever been to. It's located in a quiet residential neighborhood and is townhouse style. There are garages underneath the rooms where you can park your car for free. It felt very safe, however it will be tight if you have a big truck. There is also some uncovered parking available. The staff at the front desk were very polite and professional, we got a family suite and it was nice to have the extra space. The bathroom was a little dated but the room was very clean. It came with a microwave, mini fridge, and extra sink. We also got a balcony. The updated rooms in the pictures on google is not the room we received but it was still nice accommodations. If you're not familiar with Monterey, Pacific Grove is a great spot to stay. It's close to everything but not in a busy area.

A beautiful hotel tucked into a quiet place away from town but still walkable distance from the ocean. It's separated from residential areas by a lush, forest scenery, making the hotel feel hidden. It's location makes it ideal to get to town, and from there anything is just a few minutes away.
Outside of location, the hotel area was beautiful. You get parking so you don't need to worry about that and each room feels very separate from other rooms. It really makes you feel at home. The rooms were beautiful and even has a gas fireplace. Staff was super accommodating, even allowing us to get breakfast a bit late (hours were different due to COVID-19). I may not have spent a lot of time at my hotel because I was always out, but it was nice to know there would always be a comfortable area awaiting me when I came back.

I have stayed at a lot of places in Monterey, but this places is on my top 3. Best western is a huge company but sometimes lack quality. This place has all that and better. I stayed in a horrible motel and called here same day and they got me a room. To make things better, the man at the desk actually talks with customers about their day and what brings them here. I don’t leave reviews but this place has been superb. Beds are so comfortable I don’t even want to go out because of them. Couch has a bed of the wife gets upset with you too! Haha but overall this place is really a 10/5 but it’s definitely worth the money, and parking is so simple. In a quiet part of town too.

I highly recommend a stay here! From check-in , to leaving, everything was great! These are converted condos, and being a little tired of "normal" motel rooms, our room was refreshingly different. I booked a King room (#128). The room had a nice balcony facing the back of the property. Beautiful tile work in the large bath, with a separate room with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. I LOVED the vaulted ceilings and the bed and pillows were comfy. Toiletries were excellent. The grounds were clean, and garage parking under the unit was nice. I was also happy with the free breakfast, though the room is a bit small. Very quit, peaceful stay..just what we wanted!

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, away from the tourist attractions. The suite is spacious and allows for an at home feel. There is refrigerator, stove, coffee maker and microwave. Makes great accommodations for a family with a little one. We enjoyed celebrating 2 birthday's for my son here.

This place is awesome. Amazing ownership and staff. The breakfast is top notch - they have a waffle maker, breakfast sandwiches, and much more. Rooms are always clean and there's plenty of covered parking. Large restrooms and massive rooms have been standard at each stay here for us. We stay here every time we are in the area.

This inn was a little confusing to find, as it is tucked away, but it is a quaint, cozy little place. The rooms are set up in groups of three in little condo like buildings. There is covered and open parking, though it is first come first serve. The staff is very friendly and hospitable, the complimentary breakfast they served was much better than expected. The rooms are interesting; high wooden ceilings that feel almost cabin like. The two beds in the room were actually separated with a sore, so it was like two smaller rooms in one. Clean, all the required amenities, mini fridge and microwave with a sink other than the one in the bathroom. It looks like most if not all the rooms have balconies as well. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel used to be townhouses so the hotel has an apartment style set up. No elevators, but that didn’t bother me at all. The rooms are beautiful with different types. I had 2 rooms, one was a suite with 2 rooms and 1 bed in each room. The other was a single king bed room and it was massive including a walk-in closet with a little kitchen area in it and a huge bathroom!! Both rooms had a little kitchen area with a sink and counter top separate from the bathroom. The scenery was beautiful and the rooms were quiet. Housekeeping staff were great and gave us everything we needed and more. Branden checked us in and out and was professional, informative and accommodating. I can’t wait to visit Monterey again to stay at this hotel!! Loved it. Thank you all for your amazing service.

As a diamond select member I've traveled all over the country and this place is one of the nicest place to stay. I stayed in the king size suite and it is big. More like an apartment but with different levels. It doesn't feel like a hotel at all. Plus it's hidden in a country woody neighborhood. There's even deer roaming around and real close to everything. A must stay. Get the king Suite. You'll thank me later.

Spent 3 nights in the King Suite with kitchen for my husband's birthday. Loved it! I was not ready to come home on the last day. In a nice quite residential neighborhood and only a few blocks from the beach and 17 Mile Drive. The room was nice and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner (except a sharp knife). Oh and 1 thing I didn't realize the kitchen didn't have until getting there was a oven which we didn't need for anything we cooked. Absolutely loved the HUGE 2 level patio which you can access from 3 different sliding doors. Due to Covid the continental breakfast has been reduced to a bottles of water and fruit so never even went to try it. Didnt have much communication with staff other than check in which I guess you can say is a good thing...it meant we didn't need anything or have any issues. Overall I LOVED our stay and definitely plan to return with the kids.

I apologize if I already reviewed this place, I thought I had but I cannot find my review. This place is absolutely perfect, from the location to the ambiance of the property itself. I stayed in January so the prices were very low, so I felt the hotel was a good value. The lady at the front desk could not have been nicer, and the breakfast area was clean and well stocked. I can't wait to go back.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in the past 3 years. It is large, clean, quiet and the staff are very friendly. My husband and I feel lucky to have found this hotel as we didn't really know how great it was. The photo's do not do it justice because our room was so much larger and nicer than they have on their website. We have already made plans to stay again in the next two months. Highly recommend this Best Western hotel in Pacific Grove.

This was my first experience with Best Western and I came upon this hotel after having such a hard time finding a reasonable and clean place to stay in this area. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with any of our needs during our stay and was so helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and check-in and out was so easy. The continental breakfast also exceeds that of other hotels. This hotel made our trip that much better. We would absolutely return!
