Surf Motel & Gardens

Old but clean, nice, and comfy. We had a great relaxing time, And our dog Watson loved it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Easy access to the place, and location. Not a bad place to stay for you and your dogs.

We stayed in the grand suite this time for 5 days and loved it. It was like a small apartment. It is SO QUIET..... peaceful. The flowers are amazing. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. Our dogs were comfortable too.

They have been remodeling the rooms. Beds are very comfortable and the staff is very friendly. They have a continental breakfast and your close to everything. Prices are good. I recommend staying here.

This was a very comfortable night with a good bed and hot water. The room looked like it was recently updated and the bathroom was very clean, with a microwave, mini fridge, and tv. Sheets and pillows were soft, heater in the room worked great!
Breakfast in the morning was a simple continental style that was perfect for us.

Our stay was unexpectedly perfect! Right from the start we were impressed with the layout of the property. There's plenty of parking for each room, and no need to worry about not being able to park nearby. There's basically a spot in front of each room. The gardens are absolutely lovely! Very well thought out, maintained, and cared for. Our favorite thing about the stay was the firepit!!! It was awesome being able to sit around a campfire and share travel stories with other guests. The double room we had was shockingly spacious!! Lots of room to spread out and not feel cramped. I also love that they're dog friendly. The staff was helpful when we had an issue with the room, and took care of our problem immediately. Surf Motel is our new go to when in Fort Bragg. It's definitely worth the money.

For the price it's a great spot it even has a BBQ pit and a boat wash area plenty of parking and the bed was even comfy

Great fine. Simple, clean, quiet, everything worked, beautifully kept ground... absolutely nothing bad to say about the motel.

The room smelled very clean. They forgot to sweep the bathroom, but the rest of the room was very clean. The heater seemed broken, but actually there's a key card slot inside the door to activate it to save energy. Room has nice size fridge and microwave. Decent prices for not looking how some costal hotels look. Also I love it's one story so no stomping above your head.

After having to leave motel 6 because of reasons that were not acceptable on any level we were in a mad dash to find a pet friendly room and happened upon this lovely place. Woke the nice gentleman up late and he was very friendly and got us into our room quickly. Very clean, beds were comfortable and clean, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Large space. Beautiful property with a huge fenced in dog run for your fur babies. Breakfast consisted of toast, at least ten options for pastries, fruit, cereal, coffee with good creamer in the machines, cranberry and orange juice. You can tell the owner takes pride in his property, I will definitely be staying here again

stayed with family here, we enjoyed the suite we had. it had three beds (one was a pull out) and TV's in both rooms. had a kitchen, table and refrigerator. was very comfortable. we definitely loved the gardens it was nice seeing all the plants and flowers. nice place to stay, didn't have any problems.

Family and pet friendly. Nice rooms at affordable rates. Owners & staff are very professional and friendly. Fenced in play area for dogs, bbq grills & picnic table area along with beautiful gazebos and flowers all around property. Enjoy a bonfire in the evenings with your party or others. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

The rooms had everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen. All we needed to buy was food. The people that work there was very helpful.

I live locally & needed a place to cook Thanksgiving dinner due to kitchen remodeling, the staff were very accommodating! The 1st night our rm was smaller than what was pictured but again the staff made sure we had everything we needed on the following night the rm was exactly as pictured & our dinner was perfect! My only disappointment was the small dog run was unusable due to no one cleaning up after their dogs but the rest of the property is Beautiful with lots of seating areas! The prices are good and I would definitely stay here again or recommend my family and friends to. Thank You for saving our Thanksgiving!!!!❤😁😁❤

Staff is friendly and accommodating. Owners obviously take pride in their establishment as evidenced with the up keep of their gardens for the guests to enjoy. They are also thoughtful enough to provide glass cleaner and towels to clean the bugs off your windshield. Breakfast is just okay as they provide cereal, fruit, and pastries - nothing grand. It is also in a good location on the southern end of Fort Bragg. It would be a great place as a base to have a get away weekend with a few friends.

So comfortable. Great breakfast in the morning. Good prices. If you are a dog person like me you will appreciate that they are dog friendly and have a supper cool dog run outside. Also have a gazebo, a bonfire pit, outdoor BBQ grill, a place to rinse and cut your fish if you caught some, picnic tables to enjoy the food you cooked on the barbecue. And the service is wonderful

The room was large and clean and the price was ok ($89 per night for 2 persons).
The room smelled a little bit, but it was ok.
There is a washing machine and a dryer.
At the reception there is tea, coffee and drinking water, which is included in the price. Also included is breakfast (there was jam, butter and bread).

I'm partial as this was my first job many years ago. Made some friends. It's quiet and clean. A bit over priced and absolutley no cell service. Moderatley accomadating staff. I will stay there again.

We had a great stay! Very convenient, and staff is very helpful and friendly. Also beautiful garden and gazebo.

Very nice place, especially for the price. Our room was very clean and roomy. The only issues were the sheet wouldn’t stay on the bed and we were in the room closest to the noisiest ice machine in existence. It seemed that every other guest was getting ice from 6am to 11 pm. The breakfast is very basic but that’s not what we choose a hotel by. Will definitely stay here again.

So happy with our stay. Clean updated rooms. Absolutely great hospitality!
We found a last minute cancellation and they catered to our needs. Pet friendly made it even more satisfying.
