Cute cottage style room. By far the best motel I've stayed in Monterey. Super quiet area.. you can also hear the waves from the beach. Loved the front of the room parking as well. I'm staying here next time I make another trip! Annette at the front desk was also very kind.

I recently stayed at this hotel for just over a week, and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are a great size, with pretty much all of the amenities you might need, everything is clean, and the Internet is a plus. It was really easy to get To and From this hotel; check in and check out was also really wonderful and smooth. Front desk staff were really knowledgable about the area and very friendly as well. It made my stay as a single person feel very safe and welcoming!

I have stayed at this Inn a couple times now and we love it. Last time we booked a block of 4 rooms next to one another so our immediate family could join us. It is a great location and I love the rooms with the fireplace and kitchenette. As for the AC it is very common in this area to not have AC as the weather is very mild in the summer and they do provide fans in the rooms. We saw so many deers in the area and a beautiful ocean & scenic drive close by. I will definitely be back for a third visit and I recommend. The prices are extremely fair especially for this area. Staff referred us to great places to and eat and the Monterey Aquarium was just minutes away as well as many other great places!

Lovely room. Stayed in late November. Worth noting that there is no AC it looks like, so a summer stay may be different but it was very comfy and warm for me. Staff is fantastic and the location is very nice. I will be coming back.

This is the 4th time staying at this Inn. My wife and I think it's the perfect spot away from the usual tourist noise in Monterey and absolutely love it.

The rooms are nicely configured and most of all, CLEAN! That is my main issue with hotel rooms, are they clean, do they have good linens and are the bathroom towels scratchy. I can say that all 3 of my checklist items are exceeded by this very nice Inn. The linens are nice and well kept and the bathroom towels are actually soft.

We also enjoy Pacific Grove very much as the town is just great, its quiet and there are a lot of local restaurants that server amazing food that isn't priced to astronomical levels.

We cannot recommend this place more than we do to friends and family.

Super cute room and friendly staff. Only thing that would make it better was if they had a table to eat on inside. There was a side table we were able to use.

We can recomend that hotel. It is quite and cozy. The Manager was real frendly, as we had an issue with the heating she offered to swap the room without any excuses. It's totally near the ocean so you can hear the waves sometimes. Canaryrow can be reached within 30 minuted by foot.

Such a beautiful and cozy place to stay! The rooms are super clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful with all the flora and fauna. The staff is absolutely EXCEPTIONAL! Annette, Ryan and Aaron at the front desk are super helpful, super friendly and all around beautiful people. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip from Canada! Definitely recommend this beautiful little gem❤

I have been traveling to Pacific Grove a couple of times a year for many years. I have stayed at a few different hotels/inns in the area. I had stayed at the Monterey Peninsula Inn the first time about a year ago and it was so quiet and pleasant and felt that I would likely come back again. This time around, I ended up having to reschedule due to the intense storms that hit California at the beginning of the year. When I called in concern that I wouldn't be able to make the drive, each one of the front desk/reservation staff I spoke with on that was very helpful, kind & accomodating to my needs. Even though I made the res through a 3rd party site, they made that a "no problem" situation and booked me for the following week. Then, when I got to my room today, I noticed my neighbors had a dog that enjoyed barking, so I asked for a new room and again, it was no problem to move me to a few rooms down. So, here I am writing from my new cozy, quiet room and I am so thankful! I was a little worried I was being a high maintenance. There's really still nothing like excellent customer/guest care. I will defintetly be giving them my business when I come to stay in the area again.

The only reason I gave four stars on the rooms is because I prefer carpet but other then that for the money this place was well worth the stay. They have 🐕 friendly rooms and the price per night was very reasonable. It's located just past downtown Pacific Grove. Will be back next time we're in town. This side of the peninsula can get foggy a lot so just be prepared for cooler weather.

We really enjoyed our stay. Close to everything but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. Our room had everything we needed: microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, large walk in closet, large bathroom. They served a nice continental breakfast every morning. We didn’t personally use them but they had a large hot tub and fire pit outside that were a nice touch. The price was extremely reasonable and we will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Love this place. The front desk host was full of information. Very quaint. Room was super clean and the bed was not hard as a rock.

This place you better make sure you put what your wanting in amenities. For you get what you pay for
It was quaint. Each room is different. In my case; three different families came. All rooms were quite. Different. Loved the atmosphere. It felt so relaxing. There are multiple upon multiple places; inns, for it forks. It took us on the second try that it was on the left side two entrances. Deer, several other things like the Monarch site to see. Make sure you stay on the path; otherwise, you will be told to. Also, don't touch; i mean it, there's a fine if you touch the butterflies. There are a lot of things to do there; buy, visit, and more. You need a week just to be able to take everything in. I stayed 2 days;it wasn't enough.

The beds were super comfortable, the decor was stylish yet cozy, and we enjoyed the small personal touches like the in-room coffee, fridge, and microwave! The proximity to downtown PG was great and we loved every restaurant/food recommendation made by the incredibly helpful staff.

We loved our stay! The room was very charming. We had a little kitchen and a fireplace. The price was also reasonable. We would definitely come back. The only negative is that the fireplace didn't work properly. We call the front desk and they sent someone over to fix it, but it went out again in about 10 min. Also, I don't like sweets for breakfast and all they had were muffins. Bagels or toast would have been a great addition. We would definitely come back again.

Room was small but clean. Suited our needs just fine. Bed was comfortable, even a box fan in the closet! That was a plus for my daughter n I since we run on the warm side and there wasnt ac. The staff was warm, friendly and just overall great people. Breakfast was basic but fresh. Overall great experience and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

This motel was great! It is away from the congestion of Cannery Row/Monterey, and really close to the beach. The rooms were comfortable, staff was friendly, and the breakfast was better than most motels (good pastries and coffee). The only complaint is there isn't much soundproofing from the rooms or from the outside, but there was a fan in the room that provided enough white noise and it was fine. We enjoyed our stay and we will likely be back in the winter to see the butterflies right down the road!

We love staying in motels for the retro feel and simple accommodations, but this place felt more like a fancy hotel, a bonus. Decor was aesthetically appealing; room was roomy and comfortable. Staff were wonderful, with just the right level of friendliness and sincerity. The free continental breakfast was just right for our appetites and breakfast needs. It was also nice to be able to access tea at any time of day in the lobby. We would love to go back when we have more time to explore the area.
