Old Monterey Book Co

I was kind of nervous walking into this place after reading the bad reviews but boy were they wrong. This place has so many great books. The elderly woman working is a little sassy but it adds character to the shop. She is old fashioned so just be respectful, it's simple. I left the shop with tears in my eyes, not because of rudeness but instead the kindness in the woman's heart. I will be back!

Wonderful collection of Books, easy to find sections, and great help locating hard to find titles.

This bookstore definitely has the atmosphere you look for when visiting a second hand bookstore. However, I found it a bit disorganized and many of the books seemed very dry and uninteresting. Of course, I'm sure there are hidden treasures, and I am probably incapable of appreciating the true worth of books.

Additionally, this bookstore is rather small, so the selection is a tad limited.

A most interesting bookstore. The owner seems to be a well read lady who knows her books. It is my idea of what a bookstore should be.
