Rosedale Inn

My girlfriend and I had a great stay here at the Rosedale Inn. The room was very cozy and had just about everything we needed to feel at ease. The location is great because it’s close to Asilomar Beach and resides in a peaceful area. The jacuzzi bathtub was also a great bonus.

My favorite little place to stay. Friendly staff. A lovely walk thru Asilomar grounds to the ocean and beaches. And the Jacuzzi tub in the room is an awesome bonus.

We rolled in at 11 pm thinking we had made a reservation with a third party… but had not. Thankfully, the owner was just closing up for the night and was able to put us up, at the same price the third party had quoted us! The room had lovely large windows that opened to the sea breeze, a fan overhead (why don’t more hotels have fans??) and a bed that was far more luxurious than I would have expected for the price range (nary a squeak!). We wanted to stay another night but since they were booked the owner called around to nearby motels for us and got us a discounted price at one of the spots down the road. Our whole experience here was unexpectedly welcoming and comforting. We would love to return here. Oh, and Asilomar is right across the street! We walked there for breakfast and an ocean stroll!

We are thrilled with our room! We went with the king bed suite and are definitely glad we did. There are two rooms, one with a couch, fireplace TV and kitchenette, and another with a king size bed, TV and bathroom. Lots of amenities and a quiet location. We will be back, for sure.

Historic, and about as cute and homey as they get, in a safe and quiet location steps from the ocy. Truly a hidden gem.

The spa tub room is awesome! I was shocked at how big the room was... More like a cabin or apartment! Comfortable bed, clean. Older facility, but very nicely taken care of. The owner is super nice and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

We loved this place. It's "old fashioned" which means, big rooms, very private, super clean, very nice front desk staff. It's not fancy, so if you're looking for that, stay in one of the other newer B&Bs or fancy hotels. This is more like a 1980s-era but perfectly preserved. Beds and furniture are comfortable but not fancy. It's across the street from the Asimolar reserve so we just walked or biked to the beach, which is so unbelievably stunning. Makes you feel like you're in Monterey bay a hundred years ago before all the land was turned into housing.

Amazing place to stay! I was greeted with a smile and warm welcome by the GM Aachal upon arrival, she made sure we enjoyed our stay! Extremely peaceful grounds and surrounding area, no traffic or highway noise-nothing but nature and you. These adorable cabins are HUGE! The pictures do no justice! Some rooms are as big as a one bedroom apartment! So comfy with a fireplace as well as a heater for the chilly nights, and ceiling fans with air conditioning for the warm days. They have everything you need for short or long term stays from dishes, cutlery, fridge and microwave and a spacious kitchen, to a spacious jetted tub in the bathroom to relax in at any time. I loved that the rooms have a lot of windows for natural lighting and the views are great. You will likely see deer roaming the grounds. I also love that it’s not a busy area, yet still had so many restaurants and stores nearby. You are a short walk from the beach which is my favorite part. This area is ideal for amazing sunsets. Certainly a very good value. Breakfast could have used some meat product and some decaf coffee. But on the whole, it was good. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean and had a nice Jacuzzi tub/shower. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

I enjoyed the whole experience, from making my reservation on the phone, checking in, and sleeping in my room. Everything worked well in the room.

My only complaint: Breakfast presented lots of good food in great variety. However, by the time we arrived to eat around 9:00 a.m., there were dirty dishes and paper and food left on all the eating tables. I expected that staff would check the breakfast area occasionally and keep it cleaned up.

The room and the environment it was surrounded by were an excellent location for me and my new bride's honeymoon. Room service was prompt and thorough every day, even graciously waiting for us when we ran behind. The renovated suite was beautiful and very comfortable. Management was extremely courteous.
I would highly recommend this establishment for any sort of coastal getaway!

We had a beautiful suite! The place is situated in a wooded area that feels relaxing and removed from hustle and bustle, but only 2 miles from Monterey. Inside, the place is cozy and well-appointed..fireplace, seperate sitting room, 2 flat screen tvs, jacuzzi tub, and wet bar area with mini fridge, microwave , and coffee maker. Even had a set of dishware! Comfy beds with plush comforters. LOVED this place!! We will definitely be back!!

My husband and I were so happy with our stay that we added another night, and would have added another if there was availabilty. The location is superb, across the road from the Asilomar State Beach and Conference center (Julia Morgan buildings and public boardwalks through grounds, sanddunes, beach). The king suite was the size of a small apartment with a gas fireplace in the living room and a kitchenette with micro, fridge, some dishes and silverware, and a delightful little patio that was visited by a 4point deer and his family in the mornings. The breakfast included hard boiled eggs, fruit, waffles, juice and also had a delightful outdoor as well as indoor seating area. The GM and staff were exceedingly helpful and so welcoming. Definitely will be going back.

This was our first stay at Rosedale. We have been passing it for years staying in the area and decided to stop by one day. The rooms are very charming and appointed nicely. There were a few minor details that were off, but I am VERY picky. The bed was comfortable, fireplace a nice touch and the whirlpool tub wonderful. Other nice touches was a proper sized HDTV for the room, microwave and small refrigerator, good internet and lots of places to plug in rechargers. The staff was friendly. Oh, and the continental breakfast was very nice with lots of choices including a waffle maker for fresh, hot waffles. We will be back and often!

I booked this place on a whim and I am not disappointed. This is in a great location. Just ten mins from Monterey’s Cannery Row and a short walk/drive to Asilomar State Beach. I didn’t care for the breakfast as it was just cereal, coffee, and waffles, but there are so many other places to go when you’re here that it shouldn’t even matter. The room was quaint with a spa tub. It was a little old, but that’s not even an issue. Overall, I will come back again since it was quiet and if you listen closely you can hear the waves crashing.

This is by far the most welcoming, friendly and accommodating hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying with. I initially booked my stay as a special surprise for my husband while he was stuck away from home with his reserve unit during our 5th anniversary and so far I've came back an additional 2 times and I've spent a total of about 2 weeks as a guest here at Rosedale Inn spread over the last month and a half and I have not a single complaint as my expectations have been shattered by the personnel here 1000× over. I cannot trace about The Rosedale Inn enough and will be staying here in all of our future Monterey Bay trips.

Great big suite with fireplace and sauna tub. Separate living room and bedroom. Gave us a rollaway bed which was very comfortable. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast was nice. Would recommend!!

The room was good size and was clean. The jacuzzi tub was so relaxing. Aside from the loud neighbors when they arrived it was so peaceful. Will be back again.

My 3rd time of staying at your wonderful inn, and it's the best place I've stayed! A friend joined us this time, and she will be a repeat customer also. Nice quiet area, but still a short drive to Monterey attractions. Large rooms, great location. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

I loved this place! Cute and quaint grounds and the room was awesome! Very clean and spacious with a kitchenette and a living room. Also the location was perfect, about a 5-10 min walk to Asilomar beach which was beautiful! Would definitely stay here again!
