What a find! La Casa doesn't come across too authentic and perhaps straddles a bit too much on the sports bar vibe. However look past the veneer, the joint provides just simply amazing tacos and other Mexican comfort food and absolutely reasonable prices. So why this good?

They cook everything "home" style. All the meats are prepared as if it was done in small batches. They are flavorful, fresh, and generous. Each meat respects the ingredients and is put together with love and care. This is the exact style of Mexican food you can return once a week, heck even more than that.

Service was great except on this particular day they got hit by a full house crowd during lunch only with 2 servers.

We will absolutely return and cherish.

Doesn’t get better than this! Best tacos i’ve had in a long time. Go on Taco Tuesday for the special. The Guacamole is fresh and worth it too. Much respect!

We love La Casa Del Sazon. All three locations are great and the food quality is very consistent. We regularly drive an hour plus just to eat there. The one Monterey is great because we can make a day trip out of it. We always get the Molcajete Michoacano. It's so delicious youcan get it seasoned from mild to hot. It comes with the usual beans and rice and homemade tortillas. Stop by the next time your in Monterey you will not be disappointed especially with the Molcajete.

Almost perfect - the food here is CRAZY! The molcajete (get the original and stop playing!) was out of this world. Corn tortillas rounded out the meal, enough to two healthy eaters and worth every calorie.

Drinks were off the chain good, strong and delicious.

Ignacio was our server, best of breed. Helped me work on my very slow Spanish and never made me feel weird, explained everything we asked and popped in and out without being intrusive.

I don't get good, flavorful Mexican where I live, so this was not just a treat, but a blessing! Keep up the great work and know that you are appreciated for everything you do, from seasonings to quality ingredients to preparation and service. I tip my hat!

I ordered the El Pastor tacos, minus the onions. The meat was flavorful and tender. The tortilla tasted so fresh. I thought it was delicious and I will totally go back! Our server was also very nice.

Pleasantly surprised! We came right after what looked like a lunch rush and wasn’t sure about the food based on how it looked inside. But what we found was actually some of the best Mexican food! Personally I don’t love greasy Mexican that makes you feel bloated afterwards but the food tasted very fresh and not at all greasy like. I recommend the southwest salad bowl.

Visited on a Friday night and seated right away. Service was very friendly & attentive - our waiter so awesome and kind. Ordered a few cocktails, chips/salsa, birria tacos, and shredded chicken sopes and rice/beans. Everything was tasty! Would recommend for some yummy Mexican food with lots of options!

Home made corn tortillas were best I’ve ever had. Blue zones inspired healthy options like the vegetarian molcajete (definitely shareable!) was delicious. Guacamole with the homemade chips, increíble! 10/10.

Was blown away with the amazing service and food!!! You have to order the homemade chips and guacamole!! Ordered the Shrimp and fish taco which were to die for. Definitely need to eat here if you are thinking about it. Will be back!

The burritos were delicious, got the surf and turf, the California burrito and Monterey burrito and the meat inside each was great. The service was above and beyond helping a family with little kids

Very reasonable prices for hefty portions of high quality food.

I am vegan and was extremely well received at the restaurant, everyone was friendly and accommodating, even mentioning that they are looking at soy / tofu options for those who prefer no animal products.

It's been several months since I visited, but this place was great. The entrance is a bit unassuming and at first I thought it was a convenience store. I'm glad I checked it out, because the food was delicious. The spicy salsa had that right amount of zip and the chips were perfect for dipping. I had a specialty drink with tamarind in it that had a very unique taste. Definitely worth trying. The heuvos con chorizo was amazing.

Pros: absolutely amazing restaurant. Massive portion sizes. I got a quesadilla and burrito and was knocked out literally after 1 half a quesadilla. Super tasty and cheap. Did I mention the chips and salsa are free too??

It took quite a while, but the food was phenomenal. First dish was 4 types of meat and the other dish was garlic shrimps.

Food was delicious had a good flavor, look and taste freshly made, they also give homemade corn tortillas. They offer excellent customer service. Will definitely come back.

We had great shrimp and carna asada tacos. Plus we had a side of fresh guacamole and chips. Everything was very clean and the service was nice.

This place was excellent! We had the quesabirria tacos and they were divine. The flan is great too! Service was very very friendly and helpful but a little slower than we would've liked. I don't think that's their fault--they were definitely moving quickly and were very attentive! We will definitely come back.
