Rodeway Inn Near Downtown Monterey

AMAZING location, 1 min walk to the mall. Great service, the staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful! Very clean rooms, the A/C and heater are AMAZING, the shower is AMAZING ! And they have housekeeping to clean the rooms EVERYDAY. I fly to Monterey once a month and this is my spot !! Me and my husband LOVE IT ! 5 stars all the way for everything

Rodeway Inn is an overall great place to stay. The front desk is very confident and the staff is nice and friendly. They are very accommodating. The location is great! It is located right across from Del Monte Center, a mall where there are many restaurants a Macy's, a Rite Aid, and a Whole Foods. My husband had a lengthy stay at the nearby hospital and the front desk was very accommodating to my changing needs for a room. The hotel is also pet friendly which is wonderful since I was traveling with my Labrador Retriever. They conveniently have a great area with picnic tables, and outdoor fireplace as well as a poop bag station. The staff didn't even mind that when I return my rental car I had to hang out near the picnic area with all my bags for a few hours. I definitely recommend this hotel not just because it's a great value but also because it just overall has a good feeling and mostly because the staff is nice and sweet. Thank you Rodeway Inn for being there during a difficult time of my life!

The people running the hotel were so accommodating and patient with me. A one night stay in my 23ft RV that they don’t normally allow because of the limited space in their lot, then extending my stay daily for 4 days they were still very gracious and extremely nice to me.
It’s been an especially hard journey for me and I am so grateful to the family running this hotel 😊
The rooms are spacious, very clean and bed was very comfortable. I loved the landscaping with all the beautiful flowers everywhere and it felt more like home away from home, or staying with family than a hotel. Perfect place to stay and right across the street from Del Monte Mall

Had an excellent three day mini vacation at this hotel. Great customer service, very clean room and good location across the street from Del Monte Shopping center. Only minor issue we had was on the first night some guests next door to us were being extremely loud. One lady was literally talking and creaming on her cellphone right outside our room door. My husband stepped out and as soon as she saw my husband she went inside her room. But then continued with the loud noises to the point we couldn't sleep, it was 11:30 pm when this incident took place . My next step was to get out of bed walked to the office to talk to someone about the loud guests and the receptionist handled our issue with these particular guest in a very polite manner. This incident won't stop us from staying here again, we will definitely book at this hotel again. I understand that guest come and go into the hotels at any given time, but let's also be considerate of other guests.

This is a great place to stay. I am surprised that there rates are as cheap as they are for what you get. We are close to everything and the freeway. The room and Hotel are super cute. Nice size refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, iron, and blow dryer. Comes in your room for no additional. Charge. The staff is very nice and extremely helpful. I will always stay here when visiting this area. Recommend this hotel 110%. Thank you for such a great stay!

Super friendly staff! Room was surprisingly nice. I will say if you are in room 105 the valve in the shower makes no sense. You turn it all the way to the left towards hot and the water gets slightly warm. I actually took pretty much a tepid shower. Then turned it off and thought what the heck I will try towards the cold. The water shut off came back on the further I went, and then found the hot. After that it was great for my wife. Plenty of hot water. Place was clean, bed was comfy. The toilet has a bad seal in the tank that caused the water to kick on between every 3 minutes and 20 seconds or so. I just shut the valve off before bed to solve it and mentioned it on check out. But for the money I'd definitely stay there again!

We had a great stay for one night. Clean and spacious room, comfy bed. Some noise from the street but that's unavoidable. Picnic tables outside. Highly recommended!

Very nice staff the rooms were clean and actually much better than I expected since I was looking for an inexpensive room. I was pleasantly surprised when I left for the day and room was clean and in great shape was not expecting service

Extremely clean, quiet and gorgeous gardens...customer service is terrific and the prices can't be beat. Each Rodeway Inn is independently owned so don't confuse this location with other not so desirable places. We return here year after year and are NEVER disappointed. We stayed in a King Bed room for 2 nights. Hotel was immaculately clean! Both nights were very quiet and could not hear any street traffic or neighbors. The bed and pillows were so super comfortable and cozy! Heater worked awesome! Staff was very friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Very friendly owners on site. The rooms are super clean. Refrigerators only, no coffee pots or microwave in the room. They have a great breakfast from 7 in the morning till 10, Continental only. For the budget-minded it is a safe area convenient to gas and shopping. Don't hesitate to book here.

I have not stayed here, but went to visit with a friend who was staying there for the week. Very nice, clean room. They had a smaller room with a queen bed a decent size vanity area and kitchenette area. Wi-fi is free and the rates during the week are pretty reasonable as well. During the weekends rates go up a little bit more, but not too bad still since it is "off-season."

The owners were friendly and welcoming. The price was exceptional for the area. The room was cleam and pretty large with a mini fridge and nice counter area. Exactly what we needed after a long day driving. It's not a luxury resort but excellent for the price. Will absolutely come back. Thank you

My personal experience was great. Good location great weather conditions room was very clean. There's a small bur quaint courtyard to walk around in. Saw a lady doing a few laps.

Great value. Room is generally clean. Nice location close to shopping center. Yard is well decorated. Internet is fast. Beat expectation for $180.

We booked this room for when several events were occuring in Monterey, so it was kind of pricey, but to be expected during weekend with so much going on. The room itself was very clean, bed comfortable, and I really liked the plantation shutters-they definately added a touch of class. But more importantly, I accidentally left my watch and jacket behind in the room when we checked out; I thought they were gone for good. But when I contacted the hotel, they said 'yes' they had them and would happily UPS them back to me at my expense, which I think is fair. True to their word, I received my watch and jacket a couple days later. Thank you Knights Inn!

For price point excellent. Room was large, clean, comfy bed, good sound proofing, good selection of TV channels, quality window shutters , basic breakfast included, free parking and Wifi.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Also worth noting no hidden resort fees included in taxes. New thing motels like Arbor and Monterey Surf Inn are now doing...before confirming booking always check taxes. Knights Inn is great value and the owners are honest!

I had a very peaceful time here this weekend alone. The spiritual journey doesn’t consist of everyone sometimes. I enjoyed my stay and Robbie was very helpful.
