Prime location. Great little gem. Amazing made to order breakfast FREE with stay- per person booked. Small & older building with lots of charm! If you're handicapped this isn't for you as there is no elevator as it's a historic building. Great roof top bar as well. We will be coming back. Smaller rooms but amazing quality. 10/10 recommend!!!

This place is truly a gem. To address concerns from other reviewers, we did pay for the $15 a night parking and the rooms were a little small BUT the service was amazing. The breakfast was delicious, the hotel bar had yummy drinks, yummy food and mocktails. We didn’t spend too much time in the room so that was not an issue for us. We were welcomed by Tony as soon as we got to the hotel and were left feeling like we were saying goodbye to a friend. I would 100% stay again!

My sister and I stayed here for a few nights during our sister road trip and we LOVED it. We loved how tiny this hotel was and the great service that accompanied it. We ate a delicious breakfast each morning before exploring and on our lazy day we decided to eat dinner at the rooftop restaurant (great drinks and service). There is a small parking lot that is $15 a day. We had a small car so we had no problem driving in and out. If you’re a nervous driver or have a huge car, I would recommend street parking (plenty of it).

Overall, we had a great experience. As two ladies traveling solo we felt very safe and comfortable at all times. We will DEFINITELY be staying here again in the near future :)

Hotel 1110 was amazing. Tony really cares about this place, he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was awesome. Amazing breakfast, rooftop bar with great views, shuttled us to our concert. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else next time we visit.

I loved Hotel 1110. It was a cute, charming boutique hotel steps.

The location is perfect. Steps from the beach, across the street from a nice lake/park, 7 minute walk to downtown, 15 minute walk to Cannery Row, 10-15 minute drive to Carmel.

Tony at the front desk was very nice.

Their breakfast in the morning wasn't expensive and they served great food, strong coffee, and they offered a complimentary pastry with home made blueberry jam.

The bed was comfortable and the shower was really nice.

Lastly, the rooftop restaurant/bar. Although, I didn't take advantage of it, I went upstairs to take a look before I left back to Los Angeles. Stunning view of the ocean and just as charming as the hotel.

I would definitely return.

I've added three pictures (one of the lobby, two of the rooftop bar and view).

My husband and I just stayed here for our anniversary weekend and our experience was exceptional. The pictures and description online do not do this place justice. The rooms are somewhat small and don't have the greatest view, but they are very clean and cozy! What we loved most about this hotel was the people, service, incredible complementary breakfast, and location.

The hotel is run by a father and son and they immediately made us feel welcomed and cared for. They work hard to make sure you have a relaxing and enjoyable experience and had great service. We were surprised to learn they offer a complementary breakfast, but this is no ordinary complementary breakfast! It was a full service breakfast in a romantic dining area where you were served coffee/tea, brought fresh baked puff pastries and homemade jam for an starter, and then offered 6 menu options with incredible homemade dishes like polenta cakes with fried egg and soffrita sauce or breakfast tacos on homemade tortillas! It was exceptional! The hotel also has an amazing roof top bar that has a great tropical vibe and delicious cocktails made by friendly bartenders!

Lastly, the location was perfect. You are walking distance to the beach and Dust Bowl Brewery, and if you are comfortable walking 1-3 miles, you are walking distance from downtown, Cannery Row, the Aquarium, and so many attractions. We barely had to drive anywhere! You are also a quick 15 minute drive away from Point Lobos!

Great location. Attentive and kind staff. Beautiful historic details give the hotel a wonderful texture. Breakfast is so delicious (made to order in the formal dining space not a buffet) and the coffee is particularly wonderful. Rooftop bar offers great views and tasty cocktails. I recommend the tiki bowl drank.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in a fantastic location. The owner/ manager could not have been more friendly or helpful. The room was great for us, very comfortable bed, the rooftop bar and diner an unexpected bonus. The breakfast was to die for.

* Stayed in the Norma Jean Honeymoon suite. It may not be for everyone but it was a great experience for us. The building is old and that can be seen but it’s also unique and different than other hotels we’ve stayed at. The staff are very helpful and very friendly. I can’t say enough positive things about the free breakfast included! The Pancakes are amazing! While the weather closed the restaurant/roof top bar, having access to the beautiful view 24hrs a day was a treat. Elevator wasn’t working but that added to the charm and the exercise didn’t hurt. Again, it’s a very old building but that’s part of why we chose it! We will definitely stay again!

Such an amazing and charming hotel. The staff has bent over backwards to help make this a truly romantic experience. Every thing was perfect from the rooftop bar to the breakfast that was included with our stay. This trip has exceeded my expectations and this hotel absolutely added to the experience.

I think if you are looking for an affordable option for a hotel, this is a nice option. The rooms are small so I dont suggest going with friends unless you guys are super close lol. I went with my boyfriend and we had a very great time. The rooms are fairly small, it puts me in mind of a normal master bedroom. The bathroom is was spacious. The rooms were very clean and they would come in and make the bed, supply us with new towels and clean the room everyday without us having to ask. The staff is very kind. The breakfast was so delicious and an amazing experience. The roof top bar is also really good and the food tasted very fresh and drinks were made well. I think its a perfect spot if youre by yourself or with a significant other. There is no parking on property, but that was okay with us considering we just ubered or walked everywhere. There is a beautiful trail that takes you to cannery row, but it is a 35 minute walk or a 3-5 minute drive.

The visit to this hotel isn’t my first and I am pleased to say that I love it more and more every time! From personal experiences and observation, the staff is very friendly and welcoming! I love how they catch up with their guests in the mornings, asking about their plans for the day and if they are enjoying their stay so far. Breakfast here is never a disappointment, the fresh fruits are some of the best I’ve ever had! Dinners at the rooftop are amazing, they have beautiful scenery and delicious food/drinks. My favorite is the shrimp tacos but all the food is amazing! Overall, I would continue to come stay here and share this experience with others by recommending!

We honeymooned here and it was the most special and wholesome trip I have ever been on, and the best overall hotel experience I have ever had. We considered staying at a traditional hotel but I am so glad that we came across this little antique hotel. We loved staying in our beautiful room and the hotel is a true gem, steps away from the beach and a short walk into downtown Monterey. We were greeted by Tony when we arrived and he helped us with our bags up to our room, and he continued to make our morning each day by greeting us at breakfast (that is amazing and cooked to order- I got the pancakes every day!) The hotel and hotel rooftop is gorgeous itself and it is in a very safe neighborhood, we parked right on the street no problem. Our room was cleaned every day we were out and we would come back to fresh linens and nice breezy open windows. We will absolutely be back, we have even started considering moving to the Monterey area! Thank you so much for your kindness and wonderful hotel experience!

Favorite part is the rooftop bar, with amazing views of the bay! Rooms are fun but small, limited amenities, and the location of the hotel is great and within walking distance of the water and main downtowns but it's right next to a very loud and busy road so it's not great.

We wanted to experience a snippet of Monterey and after a long day on the road, chose to stay here because #1-it doesn’t allow pets, #2-it is adult only and #3-it looked boutique-y online. We’ve stayed at multiple “okay” properties on our journey, but yours stood out above them all. Check in manager was warm and so polite, in spite of our 10pm last-minute reservation and arrival. He personally carried our two heavy bags up three flights of stairs to our room with no hesitation. It is rare to be greeted with such care these days..I was impressed.

Our room was small but thoughtfully designed and cozy. Very European. Full marble bathroom with an excellent multi-nozzled shower. Yes! I’m a shower snob so loved that! There’s some traffic noise, but not unusual for most town or highway hotels. It’s on a boulevard. All other elements made up for this point. Super soft bed linens and thick plush towels. Plus no barking dogs or screaming parents at their cranky children.

Rooftop lounge was so pleasant with actual Dale Chihuily light fixtures, warm fire table and very polite bartendress.

Most unexpected and an absolute delight was the breakfast, included in the rate! The same manager, who checked us in, served us breakfast the next morning….well dressed, extremely polite, seating with white table linens, china cups, top notch service ambiance and creative menu; I selected polenta, soft cooked eggs and berries.

Excellent choice away from the tourist hub-bub. Highly reccommended.

My girlfriend Oana and I stayed there on Christmas Eve and loved it. Upon arrival we were greeted by the super friendly staff with complimentary hors d’ouevres, champagnes, and good conversation with the staff and other patrons. The room was all we had hoped for and more. Contrary to at least one review there was a fake fireplace that provides more than enough heat in addition to a remote control operated ceiling fan. I can’t emphasize enough that the breakfast was AMAZING, possibly the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. There are like six choices and they all sound great. I had the fried polenta and Oana had the chorizo tacos, so we can vouch for those options being very good ones. The rooftop bar was closed sadly, but it was Christmas Eve after all. We were still able to go up there and hang out, taking in the exceptional view of Monterey. A mini fridge would’ve been nice, though I’m sure they’d point out a fridge you can use if you were to ask.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Hotel 1110. I've heard it said before but it's true, don't judge a book by its cover. The inside and decor are fantastic, the service was personable and professional. The rooftop bar and restaurant, amazing! Had a wonderful time, highly recommend!

This was one of the BEST places I have EVER stayed!! The hotel was so cute & had SO much to offer. The restaurant on the roof was gorgeous, the food was incredible, the drinks were delicious, & the wait staff was so great. The breakfast restaurant downstairs was the BEST!! The food was amazing, the coffee was perfect, the decor was beautiful, & it was all included in the stay which was insane. The room was cozy and quaint & the jet bathtub was wonderful! Huge tv in the room too which was awesome. The biggest asset to Hotel 1110 is the manager Tony. He was on top of everything! He was so welcoming & friendly, he was super friendly & did everything to make sure we were taken care of!! Can’t say enough good things about Tony! The hotel is super close to a ton of restaurants & attractions in town. We will DEFINITELY return. 100/10 recommend!!
