Great experience with delicious sushi and fantastic service! Highly recommend the chef special along with a flavored sake. We tried the Fuji apple and white peach flavored sake, as well as multiple shrimp tempura, rainbow rolls, and unagi (eel) rolls. Definitely will go back again!

Had both dine-in and take-out experiences, and are satisfied every time. The staffs are really friendly, and the rolls are really delicious.

I love this place! The price was worth the premium quality of the fish. I really enjoyed Debbie's Dream and spicy scallop rolls. Plus, the staff was really helpful and friendly. I would

Best salmon roll! So fresh! But the very best was spicy tuna! Not only was it Spicy spicy spicy but the tuna was so fresh. Quick n polite service. Small place but great prices n very good sushi.

This was the best sushi restaurant In all of Monterey, and one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The staff were lovely and genuinely cared about customer’s experience. You could tell they were great people and got along like a family. Unfortunately the owner Mike broke his hand and could no longer make sushi. He made the decision to permanently close sushi fly. As of 1/29/22 it will no longer be open. It broke mine and many in the communities heart to know we will no longer be able to patron this amazing establishment. Sushi Fly will be greatly missed!

Always an amazing time when I stop in. Sushi Fly is a great atmosphere, with only positive vibes. One word to describe the Food: phenomenal. Not a penny wasted that is spent supporting this business. Best sushi ever, that simple. The Eel for dessert is mandatory, and you should trust the chef’s roll and always ask for dishes outside the menu.

Sushi Fly is one of my favorite sushi restaurants across the country. The owner/chef, Troy, is knowledgeable and super accommodating which is reflected in his food as well as his employees. Try the fruit infused saki and the "Chef's Remix" for a tailored one-of-a-kind roll. I've been going to Crystal Fish for years but this place is definitely my new favorite!

Sushi chefs and owners Mike and Troy do an excellent job here serving top notch sushi rolls in a very hip atmosphere. Not a very large restaurant, but the location is ideally located along Alvarado street and easily accessible via walking from the Wharf and the Monterey Rec Trail. Though this place is new, Mike and Troy have been Sushi Chefs for years and use nothing but the highest quality ingredients.

Be sure to ask the chefs for a chefs' special. They are very creative with their rolls.

The assorted sashimi sampler is absolutely fantastic. Flavor is top notch, and they nailed the presentation! Absolutely love this place, best sushi in Monterey!!

Best sushi in Monterey easily. Creative rolls and specials but if you just want some good ol' amazing fresh fish they got you (chirashi for the win!)! Owned but a younger local guy that seems really passionate about what he's doing. Small spot and only open for dinner... Our one thing is we wish you guys had longer hours because when you get that lunchtime sushi craving and the other options we've tried just aren't as good. then they have it the hamachi collar is life changing.

Sushi fly is a new sushi restaurant in Monterey. While the restaurant is new the chefs have been making sushi for years. They have a large menu ranging from hand rolls and sushi to full entrees.

The staff are extremely friendly and are happy to make custom rolls and specials for anyone. This place is a must if you like sushi. Some of the freshest fish in town. They have become my new favorite sushi spot in Monterey.

Their spicy tuna is very spicy and delicious!! Sapporo is nice and cold also!

I absolutely love this place! I was in the area on vacation and needed sushi in my life.... this is the place we chose to try. BEST. DECISION. EVER! The sushi was great but the atmosphere and staff added to this places awesomeness! ❤❤

Stopped in here on the last night of my vacation last week had a great time, food was amazing and staff was very friendly. If your looking for something to drink try the champagne bombs.

Scallop Flower is a must-try here. Fresh scallop placing on top of tuna, give you a strong sensory experience on your tongue.

The sushi rolls here all are tasty too!

This place slapped hard. The food and the vibes were off the chart, Chef Mike was excellent and when you let him get creative and just let him do his thing, ask for the chef's special roll! If you are looking for dank food and strong drinks as well as a fun and inviting atmosphere this is the place to be. 10/10 will be back.

Per the website it sounds like the chef is closing the restaurant 3 days from tonight. I asked the server to order me the chef's top three signature dishes and they were amazing, especially the chef's special maki of the night and the Hand Grenade appetizer. I watched the chef make dishes for others, all were beautifully crafted and presented. I was honored to have had the chance to dine here while in town before they close. Best wishes to the staff and chef and on what comes next.

All the roll we order was really delicious most especially the salmon skin roll . Staff is great. We got seated right away also. To bad they closed early. They could make more money if they stay open longer like 9 pm.
