This restaurant doesn't seem to be busy, but has a consistent stream of customers throughout the day. Very friendly service and plenty of space to enjoy the food. They have a nice lunch buffet and a great menu. They also have a great selection of vegan options!

Taste of India was a very good India restaurant that my girlfriend and I had the opportunity to eat at.

• Chicken Tikka Masala, had a nice aroma and very tender chicken in it. The true flavors of India were found in it, and I’m not super well versed in Indian food, but it wasn’t as spicy as I was expecting it.
• Chicken Biryani, this… was fantastic! Mix it with the Tikka Masala and you’ve got a great combo of flavors! Highly suggest getting this.
• Service was decent, we didn’t have any problems nor was there anything we could have asked for that we didn’t have.
• Environment, kind of on the just okay side, nothing to speak highly of.

Overall, we’d go back to this restaurant if we were in the area as we both enjoyed the food!

One of the best Indian Food restaurants in the area for sure. Quick service, friendly staff and of course, delicious and flavorful food. Always comes out hot and fresh; naan is buttery and crispy on the edges. Ambiance is casual and airy; definitely get what you pay for. An honest 10/10!

Fantastic Indian Food! Fresh and flavorful. Wonderful spices! Aloo Gobi and Chana Masala are my favorites. Mushroom Masala and Vegetable Pakora are delicious. The buffet made choices difficult so plan on several trips. A definite recommend when in Monterey.

A delicious variety of Indian food available. The staff is super helpful and friendly! The different dishes I had with my group were all very flavorful and delicious! Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Hands-down the best Indian food, we have had on the Pacific US1 road trip. The food is so authentic that it reminds me of Delhi and Punjab. The samosa chaat and dal makhani were lip-smacking good. Don’t forget to ask for extra mint chutney! It was heavenly!

The restaurant was neat , the restrooms were clean and the owners Kamal & KK were gracious, warm and friendly! I will definitely visit this restaurant again!

Everything was very good. Food was a little different than what I was expecting. Sauces was very watery but with lots of flavor. I’m use to thicker sauces. Nonetheless, everything had all the flavors I was looking forward too.

Food was AMAZING. I got Chicken Vindaloo, the potatoes were delicious, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. You get a good amount of food for what you pay for and the people who run it are very nice. Will come back again 😋

We happened to be in PG and it was dinner time. I spotted the name and I asked my husband to make the decision. He said Ya lets go! We waited for them to open at 5 on the dot. The owner KK welcomed us and we picked a table by the window. Candle lit and flowers on the table made it romantic and welcoming. Our server Jasmine knew the menu, explained the dishes to us and was very attentive. She made us feel very comfortable and provided excellent service!! This is the first Indian restaurant and this restaurant really makes me fall in love with Indian food. We loved the food, atmosphere/music, service and vibe. We hope people who love Indian food stop here and people who havent tried it - take a chance, if you like flavor like I do and flavor plus spice like my husband you wont be disappointed. We are excited to find this gem and are already planning our next visit.

The wait was long but wow. This food really made me happy. I wanted to go to sleep at the table right after. It was very delicious. Better than Ambrosia. The people are much nicer and more hospitable.

Chicken korma and garlic naan is very good. The prices are appropriate. Highly recommended. The lady at the counter is courteous and kind.

I ate at this restaurant for the first time for their lunch buffet on Aug 23, 2023, and it was so good that I ate lunch there again two days later. It's a family-owned business, and the husband and wife owners provide great-tasting food and fine customer service.

The food was exceptionally great as was the service. Highly recommend. The garlic naan was the best we have ever had.

Everything was super delicious. I just wish they were closer to where we live. We will be coming here everytime we visit pacific grove. Highly recommend

Highly recommend this place. We were visiting Pacific Grove and found this place to be the only Indian restaurant offering all-you-can-eat buffet for a reasonable price. Unfortunately for unknown reason, after Covid, most Indian restaurants stopped serving buffet, but this place took the risk and it is well done! Great location, great service, and well cooked and tasty food that includes good options in the buffet. I hope to come back and please don't stop serving buffet!

Excellent food, super nice family. Highly recommend if you want authentic flavors and generous portions. The butter chicken (makhani) was superb, and the naan was absolutely perfect. Not too doughy, not too thick and heavy.

Ok, so I want to start by saying that I am a monterey local, and have tried many different Indian restaurants in the area and this is by far the BEST I've had, not even just locally. Granted I've also worked in the food service industry and know that not everything is perfect all the times, HOWEVER this place has always been DELICIOUS. From the chicken, to the lamb, paneer, samosas, nann and MORE. It isnt always perfect, but that's life in a fast paced food environment and I know every time I have told them, they have corrected it on site, and I've only had to mention it twice for minute issues that were fixed IMMEDIATELY. So anyone who has complaints, I can guarantee that they didn't mention it up front or check their order before they left or even made their comment or review. With that being said, ive been here several times and truly adore their flavor profiles and customer service; I think that there was only one time (compared to the dozens of times we have been here) when my dad tried to call in an order and a younger gentleman had an additude and was not very understanding of my eldery father but I truly think it was just some miss communications on both parts, however we were still happy with our pick up and our food. I frequently order Indian because it is my favorite and this place usually goes above and beyond, even with my excessive requests for extra mint cilantro chutney lol. I cant wait to be able to come back for their lunch buffet soon! I will NEVER order Indian food from any other restaurants in the Monterey area now. Thank you Taste of India!

1st ordering tandoori chicken from Taste of India to picnic at the beach. Highly recommend. Excellent!!!
