Islands Restaurant Monterey

The food was delicious and the beer too. We even got offered water for our pup. The food did take a long time to get prepared but it was worth the wait. We were the last customers to get seated in the outside area. Had a pleasant time.

BEST fish tacos Ever! Service was stellar and would most certainly come back. Delicious!

We love Islands and go there regularly for lunch or dinner! The food is consistently good and we love their tiki tenders, turkey burger, spinach dip, salads and fries. The service and atmosphere are both excellent too! We recently met a new manager, Abbas, who greets us warmly every time he sees us. We’re hooked!

Delicious burgers!!
I ordered the Hulu Burger with sweet potato fries. The fries were a little to salty for my taste but other then that it was a tasty meal. My son got a grilled cheese and steamed veggies and ended up eating it at home.
We were seated quickly and our table was sanitizing before we sat down. We did eat out on the patio area and it was very clean for being outside.

Islands is such an underrated chain. They have the best fries and some of the better burgers I’ve had in my life.

Specifically the Kilauea Burger. I love the flavors on this burger. The fried onions, the pepper crusted patty, and the pepper jack cheese. They nail it every time.

I’m not joking when I say that they have the best fries. You can tell they are fresh, hand cut, and fried perfectly every time. Crispy outsides, but not too crispy. Every fry is delicious in that basket.

I’m always shocked when I go into an islands that isn’t packed because this chain is top of the list for me. I think a lot of people are sleeping on it

Vegan burger!!! Really good and their guacamole and salsa with chips was soo good. They have an outdoor patio with a really warm fireplace!! Definitely recommend

Spent Super Bowl Sunday at Islands. Mostly attentive wait staff, good drinks, reasonable prices, friendly atmosphere. Takes reservations. Handicap accessible. Appreciated overall cleanliness of establishment.

Food and service was great, longboared burger with plant base meat patty was the best options for vegetarian. At the end owner of the restaurant personally came to us regarding our visit who was very pleasant and professional.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! My Fiancee and I enjoy the all day Sunday happy hour (at the bar, or outside.) And always find ourselves full off of the AMAZING appetizers. Though we have gone other times and gotten full dinner, and their entree portions are solid. The food is always awesome, and the drinks are always strong. Most importantly they are ALWAYS super nice. My lovely lady and I will continue to give them our hard earned money!!

Josephine was our server and seemed to be the only one bussing tables and working the bar and she did an absolutely amazing job, of course I can only speak for myself but from the looks of it she at made sure everyone’s needs were met.

The quality of the burger is amazing. Toppings stacked so high that it had to be squeezed together to cut. The flavor of the burger was savory,, juicy and season just right. The drinks were made with quality spirits. The blended mangorita and mojito were excellent. A great way to start a night or end a great day.

Good place to stop and grab drinks at the mall before or after a movie. They have excellent mai tai's, and piña colada's. I'd recommend trying some of the more adventurous burger options as well, with more Hawaiian flavors as well.

This the place to go when you want an all American burger with a splash of Hawaiian touch. Great atmosphere and great customer service. They were all nice and respectful. I definitely recommend this place for good food when traveling to Monterey, CA.

The Food was great. The restaurant was clean, as well as the restrooms. There was a nice small outdoor eating area with a nice fireplace perfect for chilly days or nights. The Staff was friendly and helpful as well as attentive. No complaints 5 stars.

I had a few bad experiences, but their new manager, Neil turned things around. When I was ready to explode, he calmly and respectfully heard me out and took care of the issues. Give that guy a raise, because he just saved this place dozens of customers, if not more. Great food. I went back again and the service was insanely good. It actually made me feel a bit bad for being so upset with them originally. I'll definitely be tipping well everytime if they keep it up

Cool & clean atmosphere. Greeter & server were both welcoming. Food was amazing. Wings were cooked perfect & not small in size. Thier special seasoning crazy good. I put it on my sweet potato fries & bought 2 seasonings to go.

So, we started out the evening entering the premises and only had to wait about 5 minutes on Labor Day weekend. Shaka Brah🤙🏼 When it came to ordering, I ordered the longboarder with the add-on fries. Yet when they brought us our food, I didn’t receive my fries for roughly 6.5 mins. However, when I finally did receive my fries, our waitress said that she wouldn’t charge us for the fries! SHAKA BRAH🤙🏼 They also threw in a complementary ketchup bottle! Overall, love this place❤!

Service is equally important as the food. The waitresses here, they are the BEST. So energetic, on the move all the time. Fantastic service. Great food (I have always loved islands). 5 stars!!
