Holiday Inn Express & Suites Marina - State Beach Area, an IHG Hotel

Had a short stay here while visiting in town to see the aquarium.
The room was nicer than expected. It was clean, and the layout was great. I loved the balcony.
The staff was really nice and we didn't have any issues during our one night stay.

Newly renovated hotel near the state beach. The location perfect, just a short walk to the beach which made our vacation even more enjoyable.

The staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, which we truly appreciated.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience at your hotel and will definitely be recommending it to our friends and family. Thank you for providing such a great accommodation option near the beach.

Absolutely insane room. Windows cracked open when we showed up because temperature outside was perfect. Nice sea breeze added to ambiance. So comfortable and clean. Beautiful balcony and huge room with tons of space

Staff was friendly and quick to help. Room I had was clean, tv was nice and had a good channel selection. Breakfast was great. Plenty of parking. Right next to a Walmart, easy access to the freeway and right down the street from the beach.

Only issues were the spa and sauna were out of order and it seems like they've been closed for a while and arent going to be fixed any time soon. Also the elevator was having some problems that were a little worrying, twice I was inside and after the doors closed the elevator didn't move. I hit the button a bunch of times for my floor and for the door to open but nothing happened. After a couple minutes it eventually moved but still seems like something that should be checked out.

The hotel is ideally located and the rooms are also spacious. The decor and washroom facilities appear to be the speciality of the hotel chain as I have been to this chain of hotels for one week vacation in different places.
The surroundings and the adjacent park was ideal for the morning walk.

Overall very pleased with this place. I had a beautiful sunset for my Downstairs room very cozy. I’d have to say I would definitely stay here again.

What began as a short stay turned into a month-long stay in July -- and what a terrific stay. Erika guided us most of the stay with making sure we were able to keep the same room during our changes during my father's hospital visit. When my dad did pass, the compassion and patience Erika showed was wonderful. The whole staff reflected her leadership each caring word along our journey. The building, and all services, were friendly and clean. When we got back in each night there was a sigh of relief as we pulled into the parking lot. A true sense of home away from home. Erika -- big thanks! And from housekeeping, to breakfast, to maintenance -- big thanks. We will miss you all.

Quaint, simple and clean. Very close to Highway 1 and located next to a park and Walmart. Good value and comfortable beds. A steal for this area.

Great location, clean modern decor, good breakfast. The hotel seemed very new and must have been built fairly recently. We arrived after dark after driving all day from Las Vegas. and were disappointed in the rude attitude of the front desk clerk who we had to hunt down to check us in, but everything else was just as I would expect from Holiday Inn and I would stay here again.

Had a late check-in after a long trip. Manager Edwin helped us with our reservation and made our stay easy!
Rooms were clean, lobby was clean the rest of the staff was friendly. 10/10

My family and i really enjoyed our stay. The staff is very nice. Overall the hotel is very clean and well kept.
We stayed in the executive suite and it was perfect for us. It has 2 beds and a pull out couch. The pillows were uncomfortable but we asked for more and solved that problem. The full size fridge was a nice surprise. It is definitely worth booking the suite if you have a family and are staying for a couple nights.
And...great breakfast!

The room was clean and plenty big for our family of 3. We didn't get a chance to try the breakfast they offered, but it is nice they still offer anything, as a lot of other hotels have cut all food service. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the one negative was i think there was a moose in the room above us, but it is hardly the fault of the hotel. I stayed here once before the remodel and it looks really good since they finished.

Even though during my stay they were doing remodeling to the lobby, my concern of a room in the midst of similar repair was quickly assuaged. It was a great, spacious, room and the staff were very friendly. I'd certainly come back, especially to visit the area, rather than on business. It's nicely located as well with restaurants and convenience store nearby and the highway not even a minute down the road.

This newly refurbished location is an easy on easy off the highway Holiday Inn. The rooms are spacious and clean. Helpful staff and full serve yourself breakfast bar.

Great location about 10 minutes from monterey bay aquarium. The rooms were good sized and clean. The service people were helpful and honest. Breakfast was decent as well.

Despite being squarely in the middle of a remodel, this hotel manages to deliver a pleasing experience. The staff is in their game, helpful, and friendly. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Parking lot gets a bit packed, but that says something too. Even with the massive ongoing construction, they're still putting heads on beds.

The service was here was outstanding! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk had everything we needed and plus. Warm Chocolate Chip Cookies at night and even though they didn't offer milk the front desk let us have some. This was a great place to stay. Would I stay her again, YES.

Very, very clean! I could smell a slight odor of bleach in our suite upon our arrival. I usually wipe down rooms with a bleach wipe, which I did, and got no residue or nastiness on it. The building itself was super quite, comfortable beds...but one "complaint" is the elevator. It gets a bit slow sometimes lol. But overall 5 stars!!!

Recently renovated and not too far from Route 1. Driving distance to all major sites in the area. Includes free breakfast!
