Been visiting American Lake for years, somehow only found out about this park recently. There is a big wooded area with picnic structures that can be reserved for events, a playground whose equipment is either brand new or VERY well maintained, and a lakefront area with docks, a fishing pier, and a roped-off swimming area. I had seen these docks while kayaking before, but they looked so nice and well-kept I had assumed they were private. There's a large parking lot, and a smaller parking lot closer to the playground/restrooms. I was there on a weekday morning and practically had the place to myself, but I could imagine it being very busy on the weekends since it's such a pleasant -if somewhat out of the way - spot.

Such a nice surprise! Plenty of parking available, the playground is well equipped, restrooms here, some nice picnic tables, awesome trees to keep you shade and what a view! The lake view is breathtaking, the swim option is great!

Harry Todd Park is more than just a park! It's a beautiful park with benches to sit on, playgrounds for the kids, a nice swimming area, dock for fishing and diving, even though it says no diving everywhere on the fishing dock.

The best time to go there is on a weekday. A weekend, mainly sunny days, will be overwhelming with people there.

The best time to fish is in the morning and evening. Floating power baits are good for catching big trout, and worms are good for everything. You can catch trout, bass, perch, crappie, and bluegill.

Piers and the beach are very quiet and oftentimes people-free during the morning hours, and the lake is very serene and calm.

Beautiful park. Has quite a few picnic tables to be able to eat. Some have held others don't. Parking isn't too bad but it can get crowded. Beautiful place to view the sunset and if you need to, focus on homework. You can walk down and see the lake, or stay by the playground. Bathrooms are public.

Get your take away food from any of the choices on restaurant row, sit at one of the tables with a view of the lake and eat, they have a bank of trash cans. The place is clean, quiet, and has a bathroom; what's not to like?

I saw a kids playscape area, several people walking dogs, and at least six people fishing off the docks if you are looking for more than a lunch stop.

The upgrades that they made to this park have been fantastic! Now if only I could catch a darn fish that would make this all the better. Keep an eye on your belongings though, there's some shifty folks that tend to lurk around the parking lot from time to time.

*** Recently reopened after a complete makeover, awesome park before, but much more accessible for access to all. New wheel chair ramp and docks, fishing pier as well.... Our most common stop to enjoy the views and to fish...

We decided to take the children out to play one cold and rainy day and their were many ducks flying in and out of the lake. The view was amazing and the children were able to get someone close to the ducks.

Beautiful spot for a walk with the dog, a walk down to the water, bring the little ones to burn energy. If you're close by a Quant place for a lunch.

This park is pretty awesome for a variety of recreational activities. There's a playground, basketball court, baseball field and Skate Park. If you are a Parkour junkie like me there is a fun structure with rails and walls. And during hot summer days there's of course the lake beach. There's a convenience store nearby if you need snacks or drinks to stock up or take a break. Honestly a great park.

This is an awesome place place to swim on a hot day. Warning though it tends to get very busy during the weekend. It has a little beach and a walkway bridge to jump off or fish and lots of little walkways in the water to jump off or chill. There is also a play park with bbq covered area and bathrooms with soap!

Love love love this park! There were alot of people, but also alot of space in between for everyone to enjoy themselves. Everyone there had a great vibe. The lake was gorgeous , lots of places to dip your feet! Next time I will come prepared with swimsuits and make a day out of it. The park was so much fun I wasn't able to take many pictures because I was busy taking it all in. Make sure you visit!
