The Cottages of Napa Valley

Got the fortune to stay here a few days while touring Napa, and it was absolutely wonderful. Perfectly close between Napa and St Helena, having our own cabin to ourselves was delightful. The biggest thing we appreciated was that they seemingly thought of everything! From the breakfast delivered to your doorstep each morning, to all the amenities in the fridge like juice, coffee and creamer, snacks, wine, down to the heated floors in the bathroom. It's COZY y'all. We even made a fire in the firepit outside (because of course there's a couple firestarter logs, a lighter, and extra wood all right there to make it super simple - and we relaxed by the fire with our newly bought wine from the vineyard. (we used our complimentary bottle for the picnic we had the next day in Pebble Beach. :)
Mike the owner greeted us after hours on our first night since we arrived a bit late for the office, and came by during our fireside sit just to make sure everything was to our needs - when he says that all the things they add are due to visitor ideas and requests I believe him. You can tell he's so proud of the work he's done with the place and is just a joy to deal with. Whenever we come back to Napa, this is an absolute must that we stay here again.

For our visit to Napa Valley, my wife and I were looking for a place to act as a home base for our various winery tours. The Cottages at Napa Valley fit the bill perfectly.

Our Romantic King Cottage (#3) was great! The cottage was quiet, spacious, and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room in the bathroom for us to both get ready at the same time. The only downfall was that the tub’s additional features were non-functional during our stay, however it still worked as a tub which was still very relaxing. The kitchenette had everything we needed for making French Press coffee in the morning and keeping leftovers and wine cool at the end of the day. The outdoor fire pit at each cottage is relatively private and easy to get started with the provided fire-starter and matches. Sound will carry so if there is a group of people in the common area, their noise could intrude if you’re looking for a silent, outdoor retreat.

By far our favorite part of the cottages was the breakfast in the morning. The Bouchon pastries and newspaper made for a great, relaxing start to our busy days.

Between the great location and value, you would be hard pressed to beat what Mike and his staff provide to you during your stay elsewhere in the valley. We will definitely be returning during future trips and are already looking forward to it!

Mike and the Staff at the Cottages made our trip unforgettable! My wife and I wanted to find a semi-private, cozy, romantic location for our wedding anniversary getaway to Napa and this was the absolute perfect place. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, the cottage was super clean and well-kept, housekeeping was fantastic, and you can't NOT mention those fresh morning breakfast deliveries of Bouchon Bakery treats every morning. Wow they were fantastic! They were even so thoughtful enough to have a bottle of bubbly on ice ready for us on arrival to toast to our occasion! The location is excellent, right off the highway and a reasonable distance from everywhere we wanted to go in the valley. We will most certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic getaway to Napa, or even a group stay as there are multiple cottages on property for multiple couples or families. Loved this place and will definitely stay again. Clean and inviting. Mike was an amazing host and the cottage had everything you would need. Our first day after an afternoon of wine tasting, he dropped in with a fruit crisp. In the mornings, a basket with Bouchon baked goods and a newspaper. Each cottage has 2 outdoor spaces with fire pits surrounded by 100 year old trees. All outdoor areas are pretty private too. Another great feature is it’s location. You can get to Yountville without getting on the main highway. We cannot wait to come back!

Very nice place near a lot of vineyards and right off highway 39. Comfortable bed, huge bathtub and decent sized kitchen for a weekend getaway. Every cottage has a chimenea in front for roasting marshmallows.

Fantastic little hotel with nine separate cottages overlooking a common courtyard. Each cottage has its own patio for relaxing outdoors with a chiminea. They also have a spacious bedroom and small kitchenette. Mike the owner is very personable and accommodating. I'll definitely be returning.

Lovely place. Cozy. Romantic. Comfortable. My wife and I came here for an anniversary weekend and couldn't be happier. We stayed in one of the Romantic King cottages and it was perfect for us. Big comfortable bed. Nice bath with a jet tub and shower big enough for two. The tile floor is even heated. Mini kitchen with a small stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and all the dishes, utensils, and cookware you might need for a cozy night in. Outside there is a nice little fireplace and inside has a gas fireplace that doubles as the room's heater if you are inclined.

The only downside is that it's not really walking distance to anything, though it IS close to a lot of interesting places to see and visit. Though they do have a few bikes you can borrow to take to the nearby bike paths that run parallel to highway 29, safely separated by the railroad tracks. Of course, it's cozy enough that you may not want to leave while you're there.

The proprietor is great. Super friendly, personable, showing obvious pride in the cottages, and personally delivering delicious pastries from Bouchon for breakfast.

There is a game room area that's family friendly, and would have been fantastic if we'd brought our kids along.

Best thing I can say is "we will be back for sure."

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn’t have been happier! Mike and his team has thought of every little detail in the cottages. His hospitality is unmatched too! I would highly recommend!

The cabins are wonderful, comfortable and romantic. You have a front patio and a rear gazebo, both fully furnished with wood stove and firewood delivered daily. The property has gardens, patios, bbq, and a game room that you can enjoy as well. Everything is easy to find, ready to be use, including some pretty decent bikes to ride around.
Although the cabins are 100 years old, but you won't miss any of the modern comforts. Heated floors (bathroom), gas fireplace and AC with heat pump, fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and kitchenware, Roku and Cable TV.

A basket of snacks and beverages in the fridge are complementary and brought to you daily, including fresh orange juice and Pete's coffee, and of course a bottle of chardonnay. Breakfast is complete with a basket of pastries from a local bakery, left at your door every morning, together with the newspaper.The owner will challenge you to find something missing.... we could only say, more days to enjoy it.

Mike, the staff, and these beautiful cottages were part of THE most amazing honeymoon we could have hoped for. The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly, the cottages themselves are beautifully decorated and very well appointed, and the location made for a great central point to relax in between winery visits. We looked at hotels, timeshares, Airbnb's, and traditional Bed and Breakfasts, and none of those options were as perfect as the cottages. One the most remarkable things was the attention to detail and the fact that EVERYTHING had been thought of. The breakfast every morning from Buchon was amazing of course, but there was also fresh squeezed orange juice in the fridge, fresh ground coffee in the kitchen, and anything else you could possibly need out in the clubhouse fridge (seriously! There were bottles of water, butter pats, creamers, you name it, and all complimentary!). Hands down, there is no better place to stay in Napa Valley as far as we're concerned! -Mat & Christine

What can you say? My wife is blessed to know a lot of people who know a lot of places and one of them turned her on to The Cottages for a getaway on the event of our 35th wedding anniversary. This place is beautiful, quiet, restful, stocked with goodies, campfires, game room, comfortable beds, breakfast goodies and newspaper, a game room and more!

I highly recommend The Cottages of Napa Valley if you are looking for a romantic quiet setting with all the upgrades of a 5 star hotel. I have been all over the world and have stayed in over 200 hotels in my life time. This was the BEST experience I have ever had. It is worth every penny. The service is personal and top notch! We will be back for sure!

A fantastic unique experience to stay in these historic cottages with great amenities and service. Breakfast delivered daily by bouchon bakery! The staff was great and the owner Mike was helpful with recommendations for dining, wineries and history of the property. The shuttle/ride to dinner in the evenings is very convenient. Had a fire each night on the patio right outside the cottage. Overall a 10/10 stay and would highly recommended!

I wish I could give this place more than five stars! My husband and I spent our honeymoon here and the concierge reached out to us about a month in advance asking if we would like her to make dinner reservations and schedule wine tours for us. Her itinerary was SUPER helpful and only a few things were hard scheduled, making it easy for my husband and I to add our own things! The property is beautiful and the cottages have everything you could ever need and more. The breakfast delivered to your front door from Bouchon bakery was a big highlight for my husband and I. Definitely the perfect vacation spot and will be going back soon!

My wife and I stayed here June 18, 19, and 20 of 2019. We were blown away! They treated us like family! I booked this vacay as a surprise for my wife to celebrate our anniversary. We got the Cottage Pairings Package so we could visit some of the wineries. These folks took care of everything. We walked in to our cottage and found a bottle of bubbly on ice! Rad!!! Each visit we made, to wineries and dinner, the folks there knew it was our anniversary and helped us make it extra special. The Cottages of Napa Valley made it all happen. This was a great trip and my wife and I couldn’t recommend it any higher! Full disclosure, you can hear the highway pretty well all the time but when you’re sipping champagne and roasting s’mores in front of your own personal fire pit, you tend to not notice the sound.
This place was amazing!

My wife and I have been blessed to stay at The Cottages for 5 years, for reasons tangible and also indescribably. Mike and the entire staff just get it, and it’s so refreshing. Every detail, from the beautiful grounds to the thoughtful elements of the units themselves and of course, the care from the staff, has all been carefully crafted and implemented. It’s the way we love to stay when coming to Napa and it has clearly become a tradition we will look forward to for many years to come. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to experience the definition of relaxation.

Cottage with patio was extremely clean and comfortable, updated bathroom & Shower, nicely equipped kitchen, private firepit with split wood and starter materials, use of board games and bicycles & helmets. Woke to find complimentary fresh pastries & daily news paper, at the doorstep each morning. Extremely friendly & helpful staff. Will definitely be returning for another memorable stay.

Our group of two couples stayed in the two bedroom cottage and had a wonderful time! The cottage is spacious and comfortable with anything you could need. Comfortable beds, huge showers, great water pressure, our own outdoor fire bit and grill area. Perfect location to navigate the napa vineyards! I highly recommend to all of my friends! (Yvonne was extremely helpful-thank you!)

This place is the best find in Napa Valley. The location is ideal - 3 miles to Yountville and easy access to the whole valley. The cottages are better than described on their website - they are lovely, perfectly appointed and filled with pleasant surprises for travelers. The owner and the employees smile. And they mean it. They welcome guests with a glass of cab and a warm smile, they walk through the property pointing out the features. We felt welcome from the time we arrived until the time we reluctantly left. We cannot wait to return.

My wife and I spent our 3rd anniversary there and the entire experience was great. Mike was great, his staff was friendly, the ambiance was precisely what I imagined. If you are seeking seclusion, that is in close proximity to everything this place is recommended. The only negative is that it is right off the highway, so you may hear the occasional trailer, or modified/excessively loud exhaust every now and then. But your in Napa; unless you went there to solely stay in the room it is the least of concerns. 5 stars for sure.
