Golden Sails Hotel

The staff are some of the nicest and most understanding people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. When I arrived at the Golden Sails after flying for 15 hours, I booked a room on the spot. They were so compassionate and worked to find space for me. They offered me water and snacks while I waited and even upgraded my room so that I would be more comfortable. I felt very well taken care of and the room itself was very spacious and clean. I truly enjoyed my stay and would recommend others stay here as well.

Overall, this hotel is a budget-friendly, low-key quiet location to stay in Long Beach right on PCH. We've brought our dog with us twice already and they always welcome those with pets. I love how quiet it is, and that there's a big courtyard with pool, hot tub. The only updates I would really make is to the flooring/carpeting, as it's getting a little tired but overall, for the price point and star-level, I've stayed at much worse.

Great place to stay right by LongBeach & Seal Beach. Also has a venue to see live music. Have seen many good bands here like. Sublime, Cubinsis , Chapter 11 & many more. Have jacuzzi rooms and a few balcony have awesome views. Employees are very friendly and made us feel like we were staying w/ family.

AWESOME STAY!!!!!! it was so nice, it was clean, had everything you could possibly need in the room and it was nice and quiet, we even slept with the curtains opened! My favorite part was the balcony and the chairs that were provided. View was great! The guy at the front desk was awesome and it was a quick check in. My husband and I usually take weekend trips every few months and we go for cheaper places because we are not in the room that much but this time we decided to find something nicer and a little more money and I found this and we were super happy with it!

My go to hotel in the Long Beach area.

It’s a budget hotel that took really good care of us. On 8/19/23 we were alerted of a possible hurricane in California! Around 12pm we found out it was better to cut our trip shorty and head home. We were worried that we would have to lose the money for night we had already booked. We called their customer service and they said not to worry. Just drive over to the hotel and grab our stuff when possible. They would give us our money back for that night even thought it was past the normal check out time and last minute. This was such a relief.

Had a little hiccup to start that was quickly resolved. Rooms were clean, comfortable and accommodating. The pool and jacuzzi temperatures were perfect! And the staff was AMAZING!!! Incredible customer service from the leadership of the terrific hotel manager to maintenance! Absolutely awesome! We were all extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! Thank you 😊

Stayed at Golden Sails for over a week as we were waited for our place to be ready. I wasn’t sure how long we would stay so did our extension day by day and Ivan did a great job at assisting w our stay and each day I needed an extension. He went above and beyond to make sure extending was smooth and that we got any service we needed for room. It made having to stay at a hotel for over week less stressful as we figured our permanent residency. Ashley also was helpful in customer service. I recommend staying at Golden Sails especially its kid friendly safe clean with a great atmosphere. Housekeeping response time is awesome and I love the middle grass area with the huge clean pool.

I decided to book here because of the price and reviews. The employees are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, but second and third story rooms are walk-ups, so take into consideration that everyone in your party can handle that.

Just down the street is a marina, some restaurants, shops, and a Ralph's grocery store, with a pharmacy.

The room amenities include a coffee maker. a microwave, and a small fridge.

After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to stay here. Well, I am glad that I did! I already knew from looking at the pictures online, that this hotel is older and yes, it could use some updates. However, I was very happy with my big and clean room and was happy to see that I had a mini fridge and a microwave. My room had a king sized bed and 2 balconies. I enjoyed the view of some of the boats and from the other balcony the view was to the west, also nice. Everything in the room worked and and there were complimentary toiletries and coffee. When I checked in, the two ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful. As a matter of fact, everyone who works here that I encountered was super nice. I did go swimming in the pool a couple of times. The pool was very clean and in the morning I watched one of the hotel employees spend several hours cleaning the patio/pool area, checking the water and adding whatever chemicals need to be added, and just in general cleaning up the whole area very nicely. He also removed some leaves that had blown into the pool. I really enjoyed my stay here at the Golden Sails Hotel and would definitely come back again. If you are super picky and want the cream of the crop hotel, then this not the place for you. However, if you don't mind an older, slightly outdated hotel, then this place is great. To me, it had a homey feel.

Though the furnishings are a little older, everything was very pleasant. Very cleanly, not a bug in sight. I had a view of the water that was very relaxing. The scenery within the hotel was very pretty (a garden next to the pool, a lovely fountain next to a flower archway, a quiet and peaceful separate area for the jacuzzi). AC had a remote so I could control it from the bed if it got too hot/cold at night, which was very nice. Very much enjoyed my stay. I didn't have any food/drink from the hotel itself so I can't comment on that aspect, but everything else was lovely.

I had to stay here unexpectedly after a death in the family. Every interaction with the staff was courteous and respectful, which meant a lot to me during this difficult time. I had to extend my stay a few times and they made it really easy to do so, also checkout was super easy. I also interacted with the cleaning staff a couple of times to get extra shower minis and a new set of towels, and they were so nice and obliging. The room was comfortable and quiet, the bed was decent, the view from my balcony was nice, the wifi worked well, the price point was reasonable, the parking situation was pretty good. All in all, a good place to grieve. I would stay here again if I ever find myself returning to Long Beach and would recommend it to folks headed that way as well. Thank you to the staff for making a very painful situation a little easier by providing a great hotel experience.

Yes this hotel is older, but it is decent. So if you’re looking for a safe spot to stay on your trip come here! The staff is friendly, there are some cool views, and there is plenty of parking. This place also has a gym and a pool and the room we got is so spacious! Check it out.

I had a great experience staying here. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed the patio. I really like the neighborhood. Very calm and lots of amenities. There is a very nice shopping center nearby.
I did experience one minor disturbance in the middle of the night and I would just suggest they tighten the bed frames because I thought it was an earthquake. 😉

Quiet atmosphere and friendly staff. Very helpful. There's a cute little park across the street.

Room was very clean. Excellent amenities. Beautifully manicured yard,flowers, trees. Nice pool, spa, gym. Pet friendly. Just perfect! 🥰

It was a cool spot. I took my family to Seal Beach and Long Beach. We all slept like a baby. The AC kept the room cool. The coffee was good. The fridge kept our drinks and baby food cool. The shower water was warm and had good water pressure. Easy to find parking. Walked around and saw the maintenance crew working and I said hi. The front desk referred us to the Cafe across the street.

To avoid the long commute I was there to attend a training program for my work, though I live in Los Angeles.
The room was comfortable and the bed plus the lighting. I wish the coffee was of a better quality and there was breakfast available to save time to go to another place to eat and get to work. I had to leave at 7am to everyday and that was the only issue. I am sure the breakfast facility will open up after we deal with Covid situation.
Over all good experience.
