Love everyone I've had cut my hair! Professional and nice all the time. And they are really close to Luv-a-Latte. They are so professional. I love getting my haircut here

A haircut is free. A student from the Technical School will be training. My haircut was excellent. A heads up due to training it took an hour to complete.

Better FREE cuts from students than licensed barbers charging $50 on the streets. 🚫🧢!

It's free. You don't need to call ahead because I've never had to wait.
Check the schedule, they take a break then have evening hours.
I always bring $10 if I can to tip, but anything at all is unexpected and highly appreciated! They cannot make change or take credit cards for tips.

Everyone here is so nice. Very helpful and as long as you have patience with a student it's a great place to get a hair cut.

Very very happy with the way the gentleman not only cut my son's hair but the way he dealt with my son's autism. I let the barber know before hand that my son was petrified of the sound that comes from the clippers. Not only did this gentleman talk to my son he made him feel comfortable before he got into the chair. He let him know what he was using what he was doing and when he was turning on and off the clippers. I did not get his name but I will not for get his face. Great job sir much appreciated and respect I will most definitely be returning.

They got me right in, everyone was really polite, and all the fellow customers were having a great time. It takes a bit of time, but that's only to be expected at a school. The instructors inspect the work before you leave. I've been coming here for a couple years and have never had a bad haircut.

Took my almost 3 year old here and they did a wonderful job with his hair cut and working around him being wiggly. Will definitely be back. Can't beat a great hair cut for 6 bucks and it helps give the students real life experience. :)

I was pleasantly surprised to walk into a fully functioning barber shop with several students actively trimming away under the attentive supervision of an extremely skilled teacher. Ryan made slight changes as i requested and made certain I was satisfied with the style before finishing up. There is not much reason to go spend $30 on a high fade with Bates Barbers taking walk-ins for $6.

I never write a review, but I cannot skip out on telling you all how great this shop is. I could tell that since all the barbers are training, that they are all excited to cut and put a lot of effort and pride into their clients. I came in to get a comb over w/ a tight mid skin fade, and I got the best skin fade that I have had in a while. My cut looked like the ones off of Facebook and YouTube. The hair cut was only $6 dollars, and the cut was so good I could not skip on tipping my barber the change. Make sure if that if you are having the barbers cut both the top and the sides that you reserve at least an hour for the cut since they are still training, and take their time to trim you right. They also have options to get you hair washed for only $1.50 more, and they even will line and trim your beard for $5. As long as you are not looking for something too unique, you will come out looking proper. I Will be back for sure when I need some touch ups.

Great place to get a decent haircut at a fair price. If you’re lucky you’ll also learn a thing or two about cutting hair! Staff and students here are awesome.

The staff and students are professional , polite and when I walk out the door I look like I just did a shoot for the cover of GQ. Magazine. ! I travel from lakewood to get my hair cut and won't go anywhere else. Plus with night time hours.

They were the best! The young women who cut his hair was so kind and talented.

Man I might have waited 2 hours but only because of the shortage of barbers but it was well worth it . The gentleman did an excellent job
