El Matador Mexican Restaurant

We have been here years ago. It has been recently remodeled and very nice inside. I had the special which was birria. It was delicious. Consomme broth was tasty. Beans were really good! Chips and salsa were in point too. Wife had a combination with a taco and chile relleno. Very tasty. Service was friendly. Reasonably priced.

The food here was very good that atmosphere was also great The waitress that took our order was very friendly and she brought the food she was very quickly it was warm and delicious. I got the cheese enchiladas and they were so good with rice and beans. I was on a vacation there in desert Hot Springs at the spa so it was the first time I have ever been there when I go back to desert Hot Springs I will definitely be going back to that restaurant..

The service has always been nice, friendly and accommodating. Usually catch Freddie when I go. Food is always delicious and tastes fresh. Window side ordering or sit down dine in style, choice is yours, which is cool because u don’t have to wait in a dining room setting for your food to be ready if the sit down, dine in vibe is not what you’re looking for. Their quesoberria is bomb

First time at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I wanted to try a new Mexican Restaurant. We drove 25 minutes and were happily surprised. Very authentic food. Great flavor as well. Even tho there was only one server she did a great job. She had 7 tables at one time. But managed to keep on top of them all. Will definitely going back!

Soooooooo good! Traveling from Texas in our 5th wheel rv and found this place on Google based on reviews. We will definitely go again before we leave.

First time eating here was for lunch break after company business meetings. About nine different dishes were ordered at our table and every one of them looked amazing. I tried the shrimp enchiladas with Chile verde and they were delicious. Employees here were very kind.

I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito with just meat and Guacamole it was made perfect. I also ordered fry. Everything was so good

The best food I’ve had since I’ve had in desert hot springs I don’t even leave reviews but this was amazing and the sauces are so delicious and they give you enough the meet is so flavorful and tender definitely going to be a loyal customer at this point 😂🤌🏼🤌🏼

The inside dining room re-opened in December, but this was my first visit since the COVID closure (the walk-up window stayed open throughout). The dining room has been completely remodeled and updated. VERY NICE. The food was outstanding. The service was fast and friendly.

We're locals, went here for the first time today. Celebrating my birthday and a friends birthday. Ask for Emily she was fantastic. The birthday shot with a candle.. bomb! thank you . The Birria taco's.. sooo good. We'll be back..
