I love that animal control takes the leash law seriously and is there enforcing it because so many can't be respectful of others. Be it around my kids or my own dogs or both. The majority of patrons are AMAZING but it just takes that one "they're friendly" to cause so many issues for so many people. The park is always clean and fun and in good repair. It's peaceful even when classes are happening. It's awesome.

Believe it or not I lost my phone on the top slide; I left the park only to go back into the park to find my phone. It was on the platform of the top whindy slide.

A really nice and well maintained grassy park in the center of Palm Springs.
Great for walking, dog walking and dog play, and tennis.
There are 8 tennis courts, but no pickle ball courts (sorry!).
There is a nice playground, basketball court, plenty of free parking (on and off street), picnic tables, and public restrooms.
We like to take afternoon walks around the park, and through the mid-modern historic neighborhood that surrounds the park.
Great mountain views from the park, too!

My wife and I absolutely loved this little gem of a park in downtown Palm Springs.
Beautifully laid out and full of varieties of plants and trees, it's a delightful place to go walking or just relax on the expanse of grass. Definitely will visit again.

Park is clean and has a path that goes around so you can do your morning walk without problem.
Neighborhood is quiet, so you can enjoy the birds singing while you walk.
You can tell that park is getting the maintenance it needs.

Beautiful, lush green park - very relaxing after a brunch on La Plaza.

You can play frisbee, take a nap with the kids’ playful chatter from the playground, light breeze, and sparkling sun rays from within the maple trees.

A must visit for Palm Springs tourists!

When I am doing deliveries. I eat lunch and watch the Tennis players. Or the dog trainers. I used to jog around this park, its very friendly and open. U might be able to join a pickup Tennis game.

Ruth Hardy Park was a delightful experience for my dog and myself. There were several other dogs they're all friendly and most dogs are leashed although you can let them run but you just need to be aware of community police driving through. Sometimes you will be given a warning but generally it's just a verbal warning if it's the first time they've seen you with a dog off-leash. I like to let my dachshund run just for a few minutes just to get some exercise and the rest of the time we spend on the leash. It's a good place for kids to go they have a lot of great slides and things to climb on and all different types of things that are enjoyed by children so it's also the location of the City Community picnic Every Spring and it's it's great for Gatherings picnics reunions that type of thing. There's a lot of open space at Ruth Hardy and also a lot of trees where people come to sit and it's especially popular with people walking their dogs. Also the tennis courts are very important now to those that play tennis because demuth Park had a number of tennis courts but they have all been turned into pickleball courts someone told me that there was one tennis courts still at the Moose but there are 12 pickleball courts there.

Great place to play tennis. Can get busy around usual busy hours but given how many courts there are the wait time is not that long.

My 18 month old daughter would give this park 5 stars. Lots of swings, only 2 infant swings though, and plenty of slides and things to climb on. Seemed to be well maintained and free of any litter.

Large, beautiful, green park, but probably would benefit from more trees to provide shade.
