Wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. I had my hair cut by Anna and she was absolutely wonderful. I've been searching for a new hair stylist since mine moved about 5 years ago and I'm so happy I found Anna and Union Salon. I'll definitely be a return customer.

Erica did a great job, one of the most quick and painless waxing experiences I have. She's also easy to talk to, explains the process thoroughly, and clearly cares about the work.

Also, the Union Salon space is beautiful, great location with high ceilings. I was really interested in their product selection, it looked like mostly natural products.

I have been going to Union Salon for years! Krystal is my usual hair stylist (she’s amazing!) but yesterday I saw Kelly. Kelly is also amazing and we had great conversation the whole 5 hours she was going my hair. I came in wanting to get the red out of my hair and match my hair to some hair extensions I had brought in. Kelly did a great job with getting all the red out of my hair and matching the extensions to the top half of my hair. The bottom half, however, toned too cool and does not match the extensions at all. I paid $540 for the service, and I called back asking what to do in this instance (but they were closed today). I was told they have a 1-2 week period for any corrections. I got my hair done because I’m going on a cruise this next week, hopefully they get back to me! Other than this slight hiccup I love this salon, I love the aesthetic and I love the people that work there.

Update: I was called back and asked to send pictures of my hair and the extensions. I sent pictures and they called back saying there was nothing they could do and essentially blamed it on me. I would not have said yes to having my hair bleached had they told me in the first place that they could not match my extensions to my hair. I would have just asked for all over color that could have been closer to the requested outcome. It really breaks my heart to leave a review like this after going to this salon for so long but I am really upset. I have been very kind and understanding and was not even offered the words sorry.

Update 2: I was directly contacted by the store owner after seeing this review who was very kind and helped me understand the situation. Ultimately, I shouldn’t have been told that it might not match the extensions in the first place. She offered to fix it but with my schedule I could not fit it in, and I did not want to put more chemicals in my hair so soon. Like I said before I love this salon and the people and I am happy that they reached out to try to rectify the situation and will be returning.

Kelcie is wonderful! She is able to translate the wants/visions of the client into a color, style and cut that works everyday but still looks chic. I love that she doesn't put an over 55yo into a box but instead brings out the best attributes! And a thank you to the front desk staff. They are always courteous and try their best to be accommodating. I know there are bigger, swankier salons - I have been there. The staff here surpasses.

Front desk staff were clear, friendly and welcoming. Anna, my stylist, was excellent: skilled, knowledgeable, and made me feel right at home. Prices are very reasonable for the level of service. Highly recommend this salon, the cut I got looks fantastic, thank you!

Very happy with my experience with Hayley! My sister came her shortly before I did for a haircut and recommended I go here. I had been looking for a new place for awhile, so much that it had been over a year, almost 2 years since I last got anything done to my hair. I told Hayley of my experience, my lifestyle and what I aimed to do in the future. She used her expertise to guide me and I'm very thankful! Cut off my dead/old perm hair to focus on where my hair is now. I look forward to more services in the future!

I saw raven for the first time to get my hair toned between colors. I was nervous about going to someone new but I was in the best hands. I can’t recommend her enough. She understood my vision with ease and brought it to life. The salon was also very pleasant. Everyone was kind and I had a nice latte there. Will definitely be going back to Raven from here on out.

I have been getting my hair cut by Krystal at Union Salon for the past couple of years. I trust her not only for cut and color but also for advice for scalp care (my scalp has always been a bit persnickety and she has helped deal with this, both with thinning cuts to allow my skin to breathe and with product recommendations). When I first came to Krystal I was migrating away from a few years of vivid dyes and needed help transitioning back to my natural color from some blocky vivid highlights. She gave me balayage highlights that blended everything seamlessly, to the point that I am now pretty much all the way back to my natural color with a smooth transition. When my mom comes to town, she gets her hair done by Krystal too. We have very different hair types and goals but we have both always been very happy with our results with Krystal. Even if I moved to Seattle I would come back to Tacoma for my haircuts. I am very happy with the value for the reliability and personal touch offered, in a clean and beautiful space.

If I could give a 10/10 I would. Anna, thank you for an amazing experience. I was just expecting to get my hair done, but I had a great connection with you. You have no idea how thankful and refreshing our conversations were. Your amazing ! And I love my hair, I feel beautiful. You did that !

Kelcie is always amazing. She listens to my ideas and gives her professional opinion. She is knowledgeable and personable. The studio itself is clean, cute, and offers a relaxing environment to get pampered for the session!

Rachel is the best! Her attention to detail and experience shows. I always walk out with a cut and color that looks natural and lived in. I get my hair done about 4 months at a time and the grow out is always so good!

I absolutely loved getting my haircut and colored by Rachel! I have thick, long hair and she was able to bring so much life to my natural waves/curls with layers. She also did a wonderful job highlighting my hair! I have very dark hair and was looking for some slight dimension with lighter coloring without getting orange/caramel. I am so happy I found her and would recommend her for any of your hair needs!

I went to go see Sierra and found my new hairdresser! The interior was so warm and inviting and girly pop and I loved it! Everyone was so kind and Sierra did me right I swear. My favorite haircut I’ve ever gotten. If you need a new salon seriously consider going here, 5/5 🥳🥳🥳

I love Union salon, the interior is so cute and it has the perfect atmosphere. I had Sierra and she was absolutely fantastic. Not only did she give good service and made pleasent conversation, she also helped me better understand the root cause of my hair concerns and how to start addressing them for healthier hair. Kelcie is my hairstylist and I cannot recommend her enough! I drive from Bremerton to Tacoma to see her and it’s worth every second of extra travel time. I was having a hard time finding a stylist in Kitsap county who could meet my vivid color needs (always rocking some blue hair) and since last year she has not missed a beat sending me home with the perfect cut and color. Aside from that she is such sweet and genuine human. If you’re gonna be in a salon seat for hours at a time, it’s makes it 10000X more enjoyable to be with someone you love talking with!

Beautiful, clean studio. Caleb was fantastic! He helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my hair and explained how this style/type of cutting would make my hair easier to manage on the day to day. Definitely recommend!

I love this place! Super professional staff and great environment and price/quality!!! 10/10. They will take care of book your appts to keep your color and hairstyle weeks ahead and set your appts for you, I love this service since I usually don’t take really good care of my hair and color but I’m learning. Keep up the good work team and I’ll for sure will come back many more times!

I’m Seattle based but making the trip to Union Salon to get my hair cut by Sierra was 100% worth it! The shop was super cute and friendly, Sierra was great and gave me exactly what I wanted from my inspo pics! :)

I really appreciate the ease and vibes at Union Salon. All the stylists I’ve seen are great and always deliver! This time I saw Christine and she did a big chop and I’m so glad with the results.
