This is the only indian restaurant i have been too that has buffet on dinner and/or weekends. I have been to many indian restaurants so i can be a little picky. Food is decent, not the best decent but solid, almost average decent. Food can taste a little bland (some people would love that!). But.... for the price, this is a great deal! It also has plenty of vegetarian options. their garlic naan is actually pretty good compared to some indian restaurant. Their (buffet) deserts are actually one of the better ones esp the rice pudding/kheer which is on the refreshing side.

The food was absolutely fabulous! We were going to order a fish ahead but decided we had plenty of left overs! The waitress didn’t add it to the bulk and they were very kind about deciding not to get it even though I think they had already packaged the order. Either way they were attentive, authentic and oh so tasty. I’d drive far out of my way just to get this! 100% recommend if you’re looking for the best deal for the most flavor 😋

Not only the best Indian place in the area, this is the best Indian place I have ever found, perhaps the best restaraunt in Auburn. The owner is always there and makes sure everything is good. Vegatable Masala is a must if you don't eat meat or even if you do. The buffet was fine if your vegatarian, and even better if you aren't. The chicken Tandori looked so good I ate a chicken thigh and I don't even eat meat! Not sure why this place isn't busier.

Amazing food, very good deal at the buffet. There is a wide variety of entrees and desserts as well as fresh hot Chai! 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Really good gluten and dairy free options! I'm celiac and I didn't get sick! It's so exciting finding places I can eat.

Stopped by the highway for evening dinner. Buffet items were less but the taste was very good. Needed bit more spicier options.

Okay, it’s about time I write them a glowing review.
They’ve been open a few weeks now and we’ve probably been here seven or eight times, at least.
We’ve done buffet, ordered from the menu, and let them make recommendations, and we have never been disappointed.
We just went there tonight, and the buffet selection was wonderful.
Always rotating a great mix of dishes, including several vegan dishes (if you roll that way).
Great for couples, or large groups.

This our favorite Indian place. It is consistently good, and the crispy butter naan is the best thing I’ve ever consumed. Well worth a visit!

I had lunch for the first time at Royal Indian Cuisine in Auburn recently and was so happy that I did! The food is fresh, comforting, and delicious. There are a fair number of choices, and I finally decided on the saag paneer and tandoori chicken along with two types of naan bread. One kind had soft cheese and onions on top and I really enjoyed that. The staff are very polite and kind. I can't wait to go back there!

We are so glad to be out dining again in 2021. The Royal Cuisine is one of our favorite Indian restaurants. It is always “very” clean and they even have a bottle of hand sanitizer for each table now.
The server’s are very attentive to the customers to make sure they are enjoying their meal. The food is cooked to perfection. The meat is tender and not over spicy. I would share a picture of the Naan bread, but it was so good that I already ate it.

Awesome vegetarian selection and options! Our first time eating out since quarantine ended and felt super safe in their restaurant. We had lentil soup, garlic naan, chilli paneer, Ali gooby, spicy eggplant mush and rice. Wow! So delicious! It was served family style, so we were able to share everything too. Friendly service. Definitely would recommend and come back!

When me and my wife first visited the Royal Indian Quisine we had been living in Southern California (prior to visiting Auburn for the holidays) where we had been spoilt by delicious Indian cuisine at a vegetarian restaurant that doubled as a supermarket called Namaste Spice. And coming from Eswatini; a country where Indian Cuisine was rich, spicy and flavorful I once again was spoilt. Royal Indian cuisine did not disappoint! I had the Vegetable Biryani and it was flavorful, the potatoes were prepared to perfection and the portions were huge! My wife had the Paneer Butter Masala with a side of naan. Highly recommend Royal cuisine to everyone! Attached is a picture of the Vegetable Biryani! Enjoy!

Vada Pav

Vada Pav is a favorite sandwich-style snack from Mumbai, named after its ingredients: vada, or spicy mashed potatoes, which are deep-fried in chickpea batter; and pav, or white bread rolls. This iconic street food is said to have originated from a street vendor named Ashok Vaidya, who worked near the Dadar train station in the sixties and seventies, and came up with a way to satiate the hungry workers.

You've gotta take a chance and try this place! The food is so delicious and the prices are crazy good. The server and busser were super friendly and gave some amazing dish recommendations. I fed eight of us for less than two bills. Now my belly is full and I'm looking forward to the next time we go. The spicy food wasn't crazy hot but just right and hella good flavor. I highly recommend the lamb. It's super tender. Seriously, check them out. 🤙🏼

Saturday night date with my wife. We really enjoyed it. Had the buffet. Actual indian beer. I lived in Kuwait for a year and there was many Indian contractors there that would feed us and this was as good if not better than anything I have had.

This buffet is a real treat. I love being able to try a little bit of everything… and everything is really good. Lots of options for vegetarians and lots of options for meat eaters too. The price is reasonable for an all you can eat place.

The food at this place is ON POINT!! Lots of options at the buffet from vegetarian to chicken and goat, they have it all for just $16.99 plus salad and dessert!!
Service was pretty good. They forgot our plates and drink refills but were friendly.
This is a must try if you like Indian or are trying for the first time. Chicken korma is AMAZING!

Absolutely the best Indian food in Auburn. (Only?) And many times better than some restaurants in the Sacramento area.
Staff are always courteous and knowledgeable on the meals.
Food is always fresh and delicious.
I don't like Veggie samosas, but this place changed my mind.

I've yet to do the buffet but have had lunch and dinner many times, everything is good.
Best garlic naan I've ever had.

Recommend the Tikka Missala and Mali Kofta.
