Nancy's Café

I had a friend bring me here and wow! Its so good, the biscuits and gravy were very excellent! Great sauces as well and a charming caring atmosphere. Lots of locals so you know its good! The service was perfect with coffee top offs and excellent conversation. Thanks Nina for showing me this wonderful spot.

Our first trip to Nancy’s Cafe. Fresh snow up the hill meant the restaurant was packed with ski goers. Even though the place was packed we only waited 5 minutes for a table, the servers were all upbeat and took our order in a timely manner. Our food came out quick and warm. My “breakfast mess” was more food then I realized but every bite was delicious. We will definitely be back! Try the house hot sauce if you like a little heat

I’m not vegan but they did have a handful of vegan and gluten free options the table next to us ordered vegan items and those plates looked really good. .

Food was delicious and the service was great. Appears to be rather popular with locals, staff seemed to know many of the customers. They also sell Fire Nine Hot Sauce that they hand make there. I highly recommend it was very good. If you’re in Auburn this place is worth a visit.

I had bananas foster french toast a couple of weeks ago, and I was absolutely blown away by the flavor and quality of it! It was very sweet so I got to enjoy the other half later on. I've had half a dozen different breakfasts here over the last year and every time the food is fantastic - fresh, high-quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. The staff are all genuinely kind and friendly people. Do not miss Nancy's Cafe in Auburn if you have not been there yet!

A gem with a lot of character. Great menu options and well prepared. Friendly and seasoned wait staff with prompt service. They are focused on getting you what you want.

After finding out that I am lactose intolerant, they were able to get me vegan butter, which you don't get everywhere.

The walls are covered in prints of pop culture watercolors that resonate with Gen X and younger. Also the music draws me back to alternative of the late 80' and early 90's.

This was our third time here and we have been impressed every time.

We are completely plant-based vegan and it was nice that she had a vegan menu. You can do lunch or breakfast all day.
We ordered The scrambled tofu plate and The scrambled breakfast burrito both were amazing! Very good portion sizes.
I was impressed with the fruit cup. I'm used to the Denny's fruit cup which is usually underwhelming. Their fruit cup even had fresh raspberries blueberries and a strawberry.
Highly recommend the place.
Are waitress was the owner and she's very bubbly and accommodating!

Our new favorite breakfast place in Auburn! Crazy busy on a Sunday (for good reason) but they seated us as soon as possible. Friendly and welcoming staff, quick and attentive service, and ***amazing*** food! My family has food allergies and dietary needs, and this is clearly important here. Will be back soon!

The wait can be long but it's worth it!

The Caprese Benedict was scrumptious and the hashbrowns paired very well with their hot sauce. Arnold Palmer was also a great touch with the freshly squeezed lemonade.

And I can't forget to mention how great the staff is! 10/10

"The Mess" was excellent! Perfectly prepared and great presentation. I want to try it with a bed of hash browns, next time. (The fried potatoes were very good, but it was just a little too much for me). Do yourself a favor and check out the menu! (You'll have to Google it)

I drive out of my way to eat here when I go to Tahoe. I take 80 from the Bay area to get to South shore lake tahoe just so I can go to breakfast here. It's that good! I love everything I have ever ordered and I just can't recommend this place more.

I absolutely loved the service! The fact that I got to meet Nancy herself was awesome! She was very cool, the food was absolutely delicious 😋 and it came out quickly and piping hot!! I cannot wait to go back!

The food is absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect. Pigs go to market omelet was so good. The biscuits and gravy was the best I've ever had. We were happy with everything. Definitely going back. I wish they had chili aquillies.

The sausage bacon scramble was delicious. The chicken sausage was really good. Also the biscuits and gravy were amazing!

We enjoyed breakfast at Nancy's. It's a popular place so be prepared to wait a few minutes before getting a table. The food was delicious!!!

Nice breakfast and brunch spot. Open until 2:00 pm. Fantastic breakfast options and daily specials. Nancy will more than likely be your server and she is hilarious. Definitely recommend as a stop on the way to or from Tahoe.

GO HERE. There are many highly-rated breakfast/lunch spots in Auburn, but choose this one.

The service is fantastic. Very low-key, down-to-earth, wonderful people. And the food. THE FOOD! I have been searching far and wide for a vegan diner and I have found the holy grail. My husband is a meat eater and is singing praises just as much as I am. My kids have also cleaned their plates.

I’m sitting here eating as I type and I cannot wait to come back here already.

Easily one of the best meals I have had. Nancy was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.

Yesterday, I came here with my adult daughter and young grandson for breakfast, and the pancakes, eggs Benedict, waffles, fried potatoes were fresh, hot, and cooked to perfection. Nancy took our order, was very friendly, and personally inquired about our satisfaction. This is truly a great place to eat for the entire family. Highly recommended.

Another update: you have to try the Fire Nine Zero sauce.

Went a few times since last review still amazing, today had to try the egg nog french toast on the special board!! Yummy !!Absolutely delicious!!
