Sums has been such a staple for the community. They have made sure to keep their food consistency a priority. We have been going to sums for years and they are by far the best Mongolian bbq around. The owner is more than willing to hear any suggestions that customers have and is so warm and inviting. This is a local family run business that does everything they can to provide delicious food to their community. We are very happy to support and continue going to Sums.

Where to begin.... AMAZING food, service, and staff! I've been frequenting this business since I was a young child and it never changes.
They always remember me, they greet every single customer with a smile, refresh the waters frequently, the food is fresh, they allow first servings to be boxed up to go and the soft serve ice cream is delicious too!

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years. I’m so happy they survived covid.

-The staff is always very friendly and you never wait for anything.

-The dining room could use a makeover, but it’s always very clean and it adds to the charm.

-If you don’t finish your first bowl you can take it home. This makes for great leftovers. (The cooks love when you drop a dollar or two in the tip jar)

-They also have a soft serve ice cream machine, which my daughter loves.

-Good location, just next to the public parking lot.

This is hands down the best Mongolian BBQ place ever. Their food is always so fresh and always absolutely delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful! Highly recommend! So freaking yummy!

This is by far the best Mongolian BBQ restaurant I've ever been to! Their food is fresh, great variety, friendly staff and it's delicious! The all you can eat buffet even allows you to take home your food if you get just one bowl, NO WHERE else does this! The soft serve ice cream is always a delicious treat at the end of the meal.

Loved our first experience here! The service was incredible! The lady knew it was our first time here by the looks on our faces. She was so helpful and informative as to how this worked. It's a process. Fill your bowl with as much as you can then fill another bowl with your sauce. So many yummy fresh choices of veggies! And then the yummy sauces. It was so delicious! Go the service and food was amazing! You will not be disappointed! And to top it off they have ice cream as well. Yum!

Great all you can eat place that’s also affordable. The staff were really, really nice! The owner went over and beyond explaining us the concept and took good care of us. And you can watch the cooks prepare your meal(s). Really great stop for good and affordable food.

Best Mongolian place I've been too! The ingredients are SO fresh and the price is such a good deal for all the food you can get! Amazing and quick service. Support local businesses ya'll! This is a family owned restaurant and been here for 30 years!! Always busy here in the evenings especially on weekends. Ice cream machine is always working too.

This place is a true Auburn treasure! It's not fancy, but the food is wonderful and the service is always friendly and quick. I personally enjoy the high school kids that come in, eat and enjoy themselves! It is so heart warming! Love it!

This restaurant is just wonderful. The staff is warm and welcoming the food is great. You get to choose from a wide variety of ingredients and then watch them cook it up.
It's not a fancy place, but it is very relaxing. Take the kids, they'll love it!

It can get a little crowded but I've always loved the food. Family owned. Even when there is a big crowd they do a good job at getting people seated quickly and fed! Reasonably priced for the amount of food you can get.

Sums is a little bit of a hole in the wall local favorite and has been a hit in our family for over 15 years. Absolutely delicious noodles, you go down a buffet of raw veggies and meat and noodles and sauce and create your own dish and they cook it on a huge wok in front of you. Soft serve ice cream when the machine is working.

I've been coming to Sum's since I was a child. If you're visiting Auburn, this is a must stop. I'm not saying it's the best mongolian BBQ, but it's the best mongolian.

This is the place to go for good service and indulgance at a great price. All you can eat with appetizers and a small bowl of egg flower soup and soft serve ice cream to finish. Know that this is not the authentic Chinese food that you think you'll get in SF but a place you can take nearly anyone. A big bowl of noodles and/veggies with meat freshly served with ingredients you choose

Sum's Mongolian Barbecue is the best Mongolian barbecue that I've ever had. Even during covid and having them prepare it. They make it easy to order and they do a great job. I grew up in Auburn and loved Sum's. Then I moved away and I've tried other Mongolian barbecues but nothing compares. The sauces they use are incredibly delicious and I love the thick noodles. I hope everyone supports these guys and they never close down. I would cry for the rest of my life if I ever lost Sum's.
