Best shopping experience I've ever had. I see why we need local businesses. You do not get the same kind of service at large stores. John was excellent and you can tell right away he is experienced and knowledgeable. He's thorough and makes sure you get the right fit. He doesn't rush you out the door or pressure you for the sale. Thank you, John, for the excellent customer service! Will be back.

A small local shop like this should be protected at all costs and should be supported by everyone in the community, stop shopping at big box stores or online, go to Work Outfitters. If you want quality boots and well educated answers to what’s best for you talk to John. He has ordered in multiple US Made boots for me and I will always shop here.

BEST shoe service we’ve EVER had!!! Shout out to Mr. John, educated both my husband and I on proper shoe sizing, walking gait, pressure points (second picture shows his system to help aid and educate picking soles for foot pressure/posture), what to expect from each boot and shoe composition when it came down to picking the perfect fit/durability. Although not a Doctor he is a well of knowledge and great wisdom with cautionary tales (30+ YEARS YA’LL) of less fortunate feet that didn’t get the care attention we all should. My husbands learning what’s the right shoe for him in a new field of the Union, wear and tear is different at his job and John helped tremendously set him up for success & even trimmed his new soles for his boots. I also want to say I noticed John was equally attentive to incoming costumers. You can expect a zero pressure and absolute professional service. COME SUPPORT!!! We’re from Renton and willing to come this way just to buy boots here! THANK YOU JOHN (and his lovely pup in the back who did a meet and greet with us)

***Also tough toe application is done in store it does take a few days just for others to consider- so worth it if your boots get a lot of abuse as it added months to my husbands last pair.

A couple years ago I had gone in and shopped yet Work Outfitters and Jon the owner checked out my order.

I had forgotten to buy a pair of gloves and went back in to get the gloves. When I went in Jon was busy with another customer.

I was in a bit of a hurry for work and told John I was just gonna leave $10 on the counter to pay for the gloves and walk out. He said no just go ahead and take them… in which I did.

Jon, I think it’s time I come and buy a pair! I’ll pay for this pair… I’ll see you after Christmas but until then you have a wonderful Christmas. I hope and pray that everybody that comes through the doors of that store phil is welcome as I do when I walk in there.

All the reviews speak for themselves- In todays age where customer service is lacking, everything is bought online with no care or pride it is so refreshing to know there are still the "Johns" of the world and Work Outfitters. Do yourself a favor and buy your next pair of work boots here. When you are spending your hard earned money you might as well make sure it is going back to a place that still believes in the value of customer service.

This place is fantastic!! The guys there Really know their stuff and are super helpful. They knew exactly what insoles would help my feet, cut them and made sure they fit in my boots and we're comfortable, and didn't let me leave until I was totally happy with the comfort of the boots I was getting. They stretched them in the needed places to make them fit just right and were really professional. If you need work boots this is the place to go!!

John the owner stands up for his merchandise. Thanks for exchanging my Redwing boots, wasn't expecting you to do that as I had scuffed them up a bit. Great business and have shopped for all my work boots there for years and will continue to do so!! Thanks again.

My partner and I went into John’s store to find her a pair of work shoes. There aren’t alot of stores that have women’s options in suitable styles for her line of work. John did his best to find one that worked for her as a whole. From start to finish he made sure the shoe fit perfectly as well as educating us on how shoes should fit + feel. He made us feel confident on our purchase and comfortable in the store. We will be heading to Work Outfitters from now on for anything we may need for work.

His dog Freddy was also a cute surprise during our visit! :)

Absolutely the place to go for work boots! In 20 years of wearing boots I never knew what went into sizing and comfort. I just bought a pair my size and moved on. But this experience was out of the park amazing! Took the time to address my needs and sizing to find the perfect pair for me. Top notch service and quality products!! I'm a lifelong tradesmen. And I've bought hundreds. And hundreds of boots from all over the country. And let me tell you something. John is THE most knowledgeable, personal, caring, and down to earth boot dealer I've ever met. Ever. Hands down. I literally walked in 3 minutes to closing and we sat and talked for an hour and a half. We talked shop, talked feet, talked orthopedics, I mean I had the most awesome time I've ever had in a boot store. Not to mention he's the only guy around with a good redwing selection.

I walked in with a vague idea of what I wanted in a work boot - then spent well over an hour with John learning about boots, feet, and the way they ought to fit. He listened to what I wanted and needed - then showed me different boots that might fit my needs.

He was very patient, attentive and helped me make an informed decision - even if it meant getting a pair of boots somewhere else. Customer service out of this world. I left with a proper pair of comfortable boots for a reasonable price. Without a doubt I will be back again.

This is the place to go for your work boots! My buddy told me about John's shop and I was not disappointed! That was the most through boot buying experience I have ever had. If you need work boots, this is the place to go! Also they have an excellent selection of workwear as well. He spent over an hour measuring my feet, and explained many subtleties about different manufacturers. He was out of my first choice in my size, but he offered to call a different store to see if they had my size. I declined because this store more than earned my business! No pushy sales people, super knowledgeable, beyond friendly! This was all around a great experience! I highly recommend this business! Ended up with 2 pair of boots!

Simply fantastic. I was looking for a good pair of work boots and actually wanted to try something rather than buying online. Stopped in here after about 5 other retail stores had a total of 2 pair to try in my size. As a ‘millennial’ the level of service was something I am completely unfamiliar with. I got properly measured, learned about how the boots are supposed to fit, what to look for, and how they should feel along with many other things I didn’t know before coming in. Ended up selecting something extremely comfortable that fit all my needs and never saw when I was looking online. The kicker…they actually ended up costing a few bucks less than I could have got the same ones online. I will definitely be back for my next pair.

Great experience purchasing footwear accessories from John. Very knowledgeable and able to explain things thoroughly which gave me extreme confidence in his recommendations which I have been satisfied with since purchasing if I needed new footwear I would’ve definitely felt confident buying the right pair here!
