I have used this shop for several of my vehicles. They do a great job, fair prices and an amazing staff. I highly recommend these guys to anyone needing repairs.

Spoiler alert. This is going to be a five star review. Staff, 5 stars, quality of work, 5 stars, price reasonable and fair (though I'm no mechanic). Who knew that being a victim of the KIA TikTok challenge would lead me to this awesome place!

Ziggy's auto shop ALWAYS does GREAT work!!! They do things by the book so maybe a little expensive but it is worth it!!! I've never had a problem with this ships repairs. Do it once and do it right is what I always get. Ziggy himself is also great people person and great customer service. I've used this shop for almost 20 years!!! Love them. Zyggi saved my family vacation!
Got hit by a drunk driver while in the area on vacation. We had towed our trailer across a couple of states, and now our vehicle could not safely tow the trailer nor safely haul the family and dogs. One place was 1 month out for an appointment just to get an estimate for repair, and another would not touch it to make it road worthy without repairing everything. A third had a phone message clearly telling you NOT to leave a message. Things looked seriously dire!

Then there was Zyggi's. They understood the urgency of being stuck with family and trailer and an unsafe vehicle. They FOUND A WAY!

They saw me the morning after the accident. They ordered parts from Portland (nearest), and the next day I got a phone call at 7:48 am letting me know all the parts had arrived and Zyggi had gone and picked them up already! By that afternoon, 2 days after the accident, I was on the road again.

The vehicle still needs repair from the accident, but Zyggi's scope was not a full repair, just to get me on the road safely with my family. They did. 100%

Zyggi's is the sort of place that one must just relax into. Regardless of YOUR stress level, Zyggi will, step-by-step, with a seemingly laissez-faire attitude, get that ___ handled! He is the most seemingly relaxed person I have ever seen just get so much done in a very small amount of time (not just my car, ALL OF THEM).

Don't expect WiFi, tea, or water while waiting. There is a restroom. There are lots of old car manuals and copies of the National Enquirer to entertain you.

If you hand them the cash, and get out of the way, Zyggi and team have got you covered. Just trust the team, take a deep breath and ride the wave.

Thanks again to the team at Zyggi's for rescuing my family and the amazing flexibility demonstrated in getting me in and putting up with my stress long enough to get my family back home. You have been an amazing blessing and a bright spot in a rough vacation!

I am from out of town and was visiting family in the area a few months ago. We had an issue with a sensor which was hard to reach and on the back side of the engine in our Tahoe and needed it fixed ASAP. Zyggi's team was top notch, treated us right/fair on the price and was just a pleasure to work with. I was in and out of there in just under a couple of hours. The book said that the job should have been 4 hours which is what I would have been charged at a dealership, but Zyggi was very understanding and worked with us. The Tahoe has been performing great ever since. I would recommend this garage to anyone with any brand vehicle for repairs. THANK YOU ZYGGI's Auto Shop!

amazing place to bring your used car ! kind people and quick service, fixed my car when honda couldn’t. all i needed was a distributor, fair prices as well, will be going back if other issues arise 🙂

Needed an engine replacement due to internal water damage. Zyggi and Dick were honest and upfront about the potential issues and costs. They worked with my insurance (which was never going to cover the full cost) to get me the most recovery I could. They ensured to the best of their ability that the used engine I received was free from issues and warrantied. My car runs as good, if not better than before I flooded my original engine. Great guys and would work with them anytime.

I bring my Subaru here for oil changes, checkups, and any work that pops up. The cost is comparable (slightly more in my favor) compared to the Subaru dealership. Ziggy and service team answer all of my questions, do amazing work on my car, and charge a fair price. They prep me for what to expect next so I'm not usually surprised with my car's future.

The turn-around for my car's repairs (brake changes, oil changes, axle work, timing belt) has been very reasonable. I usually relax in their customer lounge, studying the Norman Rockwells and reading their selection of zines.

For what it's worth, I'm a female. It's always difficult to find an honest mechanic that won't try to pull the wool over my eyes, which is why I seek out a locally-owned shop. I am always treated with respect and care when I come to Ziggy's. I have never felt talked down to or inferior here.

Came here for a used car inspection. Customer service was great! I interacted with 3 different staff members I left feeling good about using their service. They also managed to fit me in just before lunch and I was out under an hour. Saved me thousands of dollars from purchasing truck that cosmetically looked great but had some serious mechanical issues needing to be addressed. I plan to take all my future business to them.

I had a wonderful experience at Zyggi's shop. I had help from both Zyggi and Mike who were very helpful, friendly, and told me everything I needed to know. Zyggi was nice enough to shuttle me to work while my car was worked on, too! I would recommend this shop to anybody and I will certainly go back for any car issues in the future!

This shop is wonderful. I called them last week after I ran over a large metal object on the highway and I needed a very quick mechanical safety inspection to ensure it was ok for me to drive my car. They got me in within 30 minutes of my phone call and looked at my car right away. They assured me the car was safe to drive and I was able to get to work only a little later than normal. They took a bunch of pictures and emailed them directly to me the same day so I could see the damage I was dealing with. Very professional and understanding of my situation. I will definitely take my car there for any service I need in the future.

We have the luxury of having Zyggi repair our vehicles for over 20 years now. This includes many types. Why is Zyggi the best? Many reasons: First, the problem is cured. Second, Zyggi will sometimes advise of some problems that exist but give options on whether they need to be corrected or not at the time and thus not waste money if not needed. Third, sometimes parts have been hard to find on one car I own and his staff spends time to find out where those parts can be obtained and if not other options or suggestions too. Fourth, CUSTOMER SERVICE..is #1! They return calls, they work on your car when they said they would! They allow the drop off and key so they have the vehicle if desired ahead of time too. I appreciate the candid yet accurate advice Zyggi has provided also. I hope he never quits as I don't know who I can trust like I do him! We have referred over other persons through the years also and always so happy to hear that they appreciated it and loved having their car back but after feeling comfortable with a new repair shop with perfect guidance..the best! Zyggi is the best. I dropped my car off at 7:00 and he called by 8:30 with diagnosis. oh, in addition to brakes, I needed a wheel bearing that I did not even know. Honest man, great to deal with.

Zyggi and Mike are great guys. I came to them with an engine misfire and possible catalytic converter damage. Zyggi drove me back to my house while I waited for repairs and picked me up when they were done with my car.

They found the problem and installed a new ignition coil without trying to influence me to buy an unnecessary catalytic converter.

Honest businessmen. Fair pricing. Also, Zyggi is a pretty interesting guy so if you get the chance to have a conversation with him I would recommend doing so.

The thing about Zyggi's is they will tell you straight up what they think. If they say they won't be able to diagnose the problem until they have things apart they mean it. Zyggi's won't do any unnecessary work that's not needed. They have been in business a long time and have always had good customer service. My vehicles won't go anywhere else..

Zyggi's Auto Shop is an honest auto shop with more than fair prices. I have been in several times and everyone I have dealt with is honest and dependable. There was a time when Zyggi fixed my power steering and he could have lied and said I needed the whole darn thing replaced but he wanted to try a different procedure which ended up costing me less money and in the end it ended up fixing the problem. I would not have known any different if he would have lied to me but he didnt and so that is why I will always have all my vehicles repaired at Zyggy's!

Zyggi and his crew are the best. They carefully (and under budget!) rehabilitated an old Ford truck I needed for yard work. Step by step the communication about what was needed and why was fantastic.
And later, he fixed my wife’s Toyota RAV4 at a moments notice when we needed an emergency repair.
His candor is refreshing, and his mechanic expertise second to none. They’ve got our business for life!

I was in a bind and Ziggy pulled me out of it. I run a dealership here in Portland and I can say from experience that this service was top notch. They walked me through every step and had a reason for everything that was replaced. I am sure there are other good service centers in Tacoma, but you are doing yourself a favor if you go to Ziggy’s.
