Simmons Automotive

As of 4.15.24 I give a zero star or negative if I could. My husband got his car "fixed" here two weeks ago. For his car. Overheating he paid $5k two weeks later his car is over heating again and on top of that all the oil leaked out of his engine. He's never had an issue with oil leaking this is crazy. We've been cheated before and this has the makings of being cheated out of thousands again. I'm truly disappointed we thought this shop was going to be the exception. Unfortunately it is not. I'm still hoping they will make it right but we will see.

As of 4/22/24 update. I received communication from I believe the owner they arranged to have my husband's vehicle picked up within 45 minutes within 24 business hours they fix the problem. It fell under their guarantee so we did not have to pay for any of the repairs so far so good we just received the vehicle today, I am very impressed with how they handled and the situation and how quickly they handled it

Hands down the BEST PLACE to go for ALL your car needs! The Friendliest staff who treat you like family, the MOST HONEST car shop on the planet! Just all and all the BEST! I will NEVER go anywhere else. Thank you Simmons for Always being Honest and saving my Trailblazer :)

This shop is amazing! I had my car stolen and had called 17 shops that couldn’t or wouldn’t take it. I was able to talk with Simmons and spoke with Leslie and was able to get in. Leslie was so kind and helpful during the whole process! They had my car looking beautiful within 2 weeks.
They have the best customer service I have ever seen at a shop before, I’m 1000% coming back if I need anything done in the future.

I just love that feeling when you find a mechanic you know you can trust. The prices at Simmons Automotive are reasonable and upfront. The mechanics are knowledgeable, honest and very attentive. And their communication is excellent. The customer is kept in the loop at all times through email and text, and you can see diagnosis and progress details documented with photographs. Everything is broken out with itemized pricing so the customer can pick and choose which items will be addressed immediately and which items can be put off. Their whole process inspires a lot of confidence.

And they catch everything. The mechanics are very thorough and are able to identify and solve issues that had other shops stumped. My family has had multiple vehicles serviced here. The more they do for us, the less likely we are to take our vehicles anywhere else. The only drawback is that they're usually booked out several weeks in advance.

I'm a serial entrepreneur with lots of small business experience. I know how to identify a well run small business. Simmons Automotive is a shining example of a very well run and productive small business. A customer's experience at Simmons Automotive is so superior to virtually every other mechanic shop - it's just night and day. I love doing business with them.

Love Simmons! I listened to a Google review and contacted them almost two years ago now to help out with brakes on a car. They have continued to be kind and knowledgeable! It might be a bit more price wise for some things, but they stand by their work and are a small local business that's a gem for Tacoma!
You also approve all the work they do on your car beforehand, so you'll never get hit with some extra fee or a suprise when you go for pickup! Leslie is also super kind and helpful, so shout out to her!

Simmons Auto is fantastic. I have an older car and it needed a good bit of maintenance. Austin and Dean walked through every step of the repairs and gave me extensive detail about what was wrong and what exactly was required to fix it. My car has truly never driven better.

They send pictures, emails, and texts before any repairs. Explain everything that is needed to be done. Calm and friendly (even when I am not) staff that takes their time to explain what is going on with the vehicle so I can actually understand the issues. I want to thank everyone for their service. Austin kept me informed of all the things I needed and is very knowledgeable about cars. I like how they take pictures and videos and upload them to your portfolio for viewing. They are flexible with pricing and offer financing if needed. I will definitely recommend to all of my friends and family.

I normally get anxiety when it comes to talking to people but when I walked in they were welcoming and made me feel comfortable. They were also understanding whenever I didn’t know something about my car and for running a bit late which I truly appreciate. I liked the fact that pictures were taken to show where the problems were and the breakdown of what needs to be done including the quotes.

We are so grateful to Simmon's Automotive for their exceptional help with our parents' vehicle that was in our care. After the distressing ordeal of the vehicle being stolen and found a week later damaged, filthy and a smell, you could smell before you even entered the vehicle, Simmon's Automotive stepped in promptly and made the entire process much easier for us.

Their expertise in handling stolen vehicles and thorough inspection of all damages was so helpful. They were there for us every step of the way and truly cared about how the unfortunate situation would turn out for us.

Simmons was a complete life saver to me. My car was Broken into attempting to steal it. Yes it’s a Kia, no one would help me because of it being a Kia. I seen the Add for Simmons. Can’t say enough positive things about Simmons Automotive. They were working on my car within 2 hours of me calling them and asking if I could bring it in. They also had it fixed before the end of the day. And as if that weren’t enough they took me to a car rental place to pick up a car when the initial car rental place failed to pick me up as agreed. My daughter recommended Simmons to me after having her oil changed. It was super easy to make an appointment, they were ready for me when I got there and I had my car back in less than an hour. Everyone was nice and I will go back!

It's never fun when your vehicle needs repairs. Simmons staff and owner took the sting out of it by giving us several options. Their diagnostic showed urgently needed repairs, recommended repairs, and maintenance & repair that would potentially need to be done in the near future. This was very helpful in deciding which repairs to do immediately and which we could hold off on till later. The staff from reception/inspection to completion and pick up were friendly, knowledgeable, informative and efficient. Austin answered any questions we had graciously. The process was very well organized and clear. We would take our vehicles here again in a heartbeat.

I could not have found a better place to send my stolen vehicle for repairs. I am a woman so I’m very hesitant on working with auto body shops because I know they like to get one over on females because they do not understand cars but this place, NO they do not try to take advantage of you. This is the second time my car was stolen and I chose Simmons again because there are people who CARE about getting your car fixed. They CARE you get treated well and understand what is happening with your vehicle. They have constant communication, constant updates in their portal to update you with the details of their work on your vehicle. I really respect this place and I would send my entire family here for repairs IF they lived in WA. I really appreciate and respect Ms. Leslie, she went the extra mile to explain the process of insurance, payments, the entire process of fixing my car and how to protect my vehicle better. She is even communicating with my insurance to get me what my vehicle is worth since it is now being totaled out. I REALLY respect and appreciate this place. I really could not have found a better team to work with.

Mr. Dean and his team even went another EXTRA mile to show me where I can purchase a new vehicle and they communicated that they even do car inspections so you know what is wrong with the vehicle before you purchase from someone. This team has answered all my questions and gave me great advice for the future. I will definitely be coming here as a loyal customer and sending anyone I meet here as well.

I have been restoring my late father's 76' Chevy Vandura and been up and down Tacoma trying to find a great mechanic when I stumbled upon Simmons Automotive. They really unleashed the beast and my 350 has never run better. Simmons provides exceptional service at an affordable price for outstanding work. I also really love that they upload videos and pictures of all the work that they are going to do before and after the repairs. The texting an online calendar makes appointments a snap. Highly recommend to anyone with a classic vehicle!

Awesome communication, very transparent and fair. Laid out all the options and prices after doing a diagnosis, and let me choose the service plan from there. Fixed an issue I'd been dealing with for months in just a couple days, an issue both the dealership and the manufacturer refused to do anything about it. Confidently would recommend these guys to anyone in the area.
