So glad we came! It was a quick and easy stop, very accessible as a quick detour.
Websites say the carvings were made by the Anasazi, and that several smoothed out hollows in the stone could have been used to grind grain.
We saw many spirals, human figures, deer, turtles, and zigzags that reminded us of the rock formations.
It’s probably best not to touch the carvings so our oils don’t damage it. We were pleasantly surprised that the carvings weren’t vandalized.

This was a bit strange. We were expecting more of a park like place. It is the size of a one house lot. There is a big rock with petroglyphs on and that is it. Nothing else, no restrooms, no picnic tables, no playground. Just a big rock. It was fun to see.

It’s a really small park that has these really big rocks with petroglyphs in the middle of it. You will be there no more than 10 minutes, but it’s definitely a place to stop by. This little park is set in the middle of a nice neighborhood. I enjoyed walking around and taking pictures of the petroglyphs. Just be careful with the ants 🐜

There is an entire neighborhood built around these giant boulders that have petroglyphs on them which made it a little hard to find at first. It’s really cool to see and definitely worth the trouble of finding it. The area is small so there isn’t much to do but if you are responsible there are a few rocks you can climb on and a bench to sit at and enjoy the sights.

Relatively easy trail up to the petroglyph site. If you know where to look you can find some superbly intact ones

Tucked away in a residential neighborhood of St George, Utah is this most amazing site. Easy access, a 30 minute stop, wonderful. Before Marvel Comics were these prehistoric comics. 😆

This location is in the middle of a housing track, very unexpected! Extremely accessible, we parked on the road and walked maybe 50 feet to view the petroglyphs. Incredibly detailed and well preserved petroglyphs. On the back side of the large rock there has been some defacement, very disappointing that someone would devalue this rich and beautiful culturally significant piece of history. I would highly recommend, the stop for its accessibility and beauty and hope that visitors will leave the site as they found it.

Though other reviews may say otherwise, this monument IS IN FACT, IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA. That being said, it was easy to get to and required no hiking. It was really cool and definitely worth a visit if you don't mind driving through a neighborhood for ~10 minutes.

Quick stop in Bloomington, Utah neighborhood. Happy to see the petroglyphs remain despite the suburban development around them.

Large Petroglyph in the middle of residential neighborhood. It's pretty interesting all the spiral and insect-like symbols carved on the face. I'm pretty sure pressing some of the designs in the correct order will open up a new dimension.

What a hidden gem! My husband found out about this park online so we decided to stop and take a peek. It's pretty well-hidden in a residential area, but we had no problem finding it with Google maps. The petroglyphs are SUPER cool! Such a neat piece of history. We tried creating stories out loud about what we thought each glyph was depicting and why. Made for a really neat stop on our journey! There are definitely some engravings made by vandals, but that doesn't stop you from being able to enjoy the history here. There is some street parking nearby, but no actual lot.

I was pleasantly surprised. I have lived here for 30 years and never stopped, I guess I wasn't expecting much. It was actually pretty cool, quick stop of course, but it was nice to just sit and relax for a minute and see some cool petroglyphs. My kiddo had a lot of fun walking around the rocks.
