Charles Kim Dentistry - Downtown Tacoma Dentist

This was the best dentist visit I’ve ever had. Kristina was an amazing hygienist and what truly made her so great was her kindness. She was also very skilled, gentle, and informative and I will be requesting her on my next visit! Dr. Kim was wonderful and asked great questions including “what do you want/need from us at your new dental home?” It shows he truly cares about the patients needs and experience. Hannah was also wonderful at the reception and helping me get my insurance figured out.

I have never had a better experience at the dentist. I actually look forward to going to my appointments here. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 20yrs after some very traumatic teen experiences. Everyone is very kind, non-judgmental and knowledgeable. Dr. Kim is an extremely understanding and skilled professional. Hanna always warmly greets you. The hygienists are also awesome! The office is also beautiful and they don’t try to do more than what is necessary for your treatment. They deserve nothing less than 5 stars.

The least stressful experience I’ve had at a dentist. I called to make an appointment for tooth pain, I had no dental insurance at the time and was traveling from out of state. They were able to get me in quickly within the week, and were willing to assess me and give me an estimate on how much my issue would cost before doing anything.
Hannah at the front desk was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Dr Kim was personable and respectful, and explained what was going on in a way I really understood. It didn’t seem like he was pushing any kind of agenda, just stuck to the facts and presented multiple options for me to choose from. Really impressed so far with him and the whole office. Thank you!

Everything about my experience with Dr Charles Kim dentistry has been 5 stars. Their office is located in downtown Tacoma, but they have reserved parking in the back of the building and spaces have been available every time I've visited. Each appointment I've had, I've been seen either early or on time. No waiting 20 minutes past your appointment to be called back. Their office and exam rooms are very clean and inviting and the staff is friendly and professional. I can't imagine ever needing another dentistry.

This dentist office is the best one I have ever been to! I have been coming here for almost a year now and they are very accomodating. Hanna at the front desk is the sweetest and very helpful. She definitely goes above and beyond helping me with my insurance. Kristina was awesome with my teeth cleaning and was very friendly and gentle. Dr. Charlie did an amazing job at taking me quickly into his schedule when my lingual bar snapped. The assistant Jasmine was very kind and helpful. Dr. Charlie is the nicest, most personal dentist and was very fast and thorough with removing the bar and giving me my options to replace it. Thank you and I will definitely keep coming here!

I was having what I felt was possibly a dental emergency and was new to the area, and this doctor saw me within one hour. The doctor was extremely impressive as was everyone in the entire office. I felt as if I was treated like I was their only patient even though they were quite busy. I could not have asked for better service and care. Dr. Kim is now my dentist here, and I would without doubt recommend this dental professional!

I would just like to share this is hands-down the Best dental office team that I have experienced. The office is beautiful and very inviting. The office manager Hanna is so knowledgeable and helpful as well welcoming and kind. She is very professional in makes sure you are taken care of when you walk in as well as when you walk out . I have always had Dental anxiety my whole life, and throughout each visit, whether just a cleaning or a procedure, such as fillings I was put at ease and taken care of by Dr. Charlie, He is professional , attentive, pays attention to detail, and very relatable. Kristina was my hygienist and she is amazing!! Emma and Jasmine both are excellent Assistants, they both took the time to calm my nerves and is very clear They work very well with the doctor. If you are looking for a new dentist, I cannot recommend this team enough. Very easy location to get to, great parking and well worth a drive.

I’ve never felt so cared about by a provider before in my entire life. Dr.Charlie is incredible too. He’s extremely knowledgeable, genuine and kind. Throughout my appointment he was gentle, explained what he was doing every step of the way and continuously checked in with me to make sure I was doing ok.
The dental hygienist Emma and receptionist Hanna were equally as amazing too! So grateful that I found them.

Great people, great service! Website and booking an appointment as a new customer was easy and already made me feel valued. Upon my visit, the whole team made me feel safe and welcome. Each member also took the time to educate me and to explain what they were doing. Dr. Charles Kim also made time to ask me about prior experiences and my expectations before looking at my teeth and making a plan together. Would definitely recommend this team to anyone looking for quality care.

Best dental office I have been to! Hanna the front desk manager is always so knowledgeable and professional. All of the staff there put me at ease when getting my cleaning and proceeder done. My first time finding a dentist in WA since i’ve moved here, found and seen great reviews! From the moment I booked my appointment, Hanna has been super friendly & thorough! I had no idea what I needed to provide & do as this was my first time but she walked me through the process and had been able to help me get my insurance information situated! Stacey the hygienist was so kind to answer any questions I had, & just made my experience so much better than I was anticipating it to be! So happy I found this place!

10/10 could not recommend more! As someone who has always been nervous going to the dentist, Dr. Kim and his staff have made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. Every appt I’ve had has been smooth and they’ve made me feel at ease. They’re all very knowledgeable and informative and you can tell they really care about their patients. I actually look forward to going to the dentist now!

A very bright and accessible location. There is free parking located in the lot behind the building with back door office access across the alley. I went in for my regular dental cleaning and found the office to be very modern and comfortable. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and bright. Would very much recommend if you’re looking to switch dentists or looking for a new dentist.

Dr Charlie and Kristina are the best! Came here after not seeing a dentist for 5 years and they made me feel so comfortable! Referred all my friends to come here and they loved it too!

Good dentist and staff. Have been coming here for 3+ years. I recently had some work done where Dr. Kim really proved himself and earned my trust (a difficult acquisition for a dentist.) Thank you for your honesty and understanding.

I've had many extractions in my life. This is the only one I would consider to be enjoyable. Well, as enjoyable as an extraction can be. Certainly not stingy with his numbing agent. Staff was friendly and the hygienist was thorough and friendly as well.
