Lift Bridge Coffee

A solid coffee or tea spot in the downtown area. The Vampire Kiss is my favorite drink, that name is so Tacoma ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just saying but it’s delicious. Their little kitchen is currently being renovated but I’m definitely looking forward to the breakfast sandwiches. For the mean time I recommend trying one of their very good pastries. One of the big perks of this place is that it’s right next to the “ballroom” located in Court House Square, which is a beautiful room and at times quiet.

This coffee spot is unique and I can taste the history of the building spill into the coffee. It’s as if the coffee itself tastes roasted with the architecture and building’s purpose in mind. Call me Puget Sound hoity-toity, but for those who order coffee everyday for decades from coffee shops, at some point one notice’s with great appreciation the subtle nuance in noted flavors altered by the experience surrounding the order - even if the same coffee beans are served at another coffee shop. It’s subtle, but there is something special about the coffee brewed here.

They have a vegan breakfast sandwich that is so good you will be back for another one within the week....or at least I was!

I fell in to love with this amazing cafe on a business trip to Tacoma. This places more then earns five stars because of incredible coffee (I had a pour over which was amazing), great staff who took time to ask how my day was, and one of the best historical locations I have seen for a cafe.

This place is a must visit. So dang cute, and has such a great little room to do work in or go on a cutie date. The ladies who served me were precious and wonderful. I got a cardamom latte and split a pizza bagel with my lover. 10/10

This is the only true coffee place in the area. The drinks are very good, & the service is great.

You would never know it's there on the first floor next to the post office, in a cool old building.

Aussies in search of good coffee—best place so far! Matcha was from a latte powder so it was more sweet but still good. :)

Its easy to miss but great place for coffee. The barista was very sweet and the coffee was delicious.

Nice cafe in the old courthouse building. Good coffee, friendly staff, and nice seating area out in the main hallway of the courthouse. Only complaint is the fish smell and loud music coming from a nearby restaurant located in the same hallway (En Rama) while they are getting everything ready for opening. I came to get some work done and cannot focus because of the smell and noise.

A cute coffee place in a gorgeous building, a bit out of the way of the primary downtown sprawl, but worth the small detour.

Very friendly staff, knowledgeable and creative! My coworkers and I were delighted by their unique seasonal beverages (brown butter latte yes please) crafted with quality ingredients. They share space with the post office and some other shops which makes for a different kind of coffee shop vibe. Smaller menu (I count that as a good thing) with rotating coffee offerings. If I lived in Tacoma I'd be here every day.

I've been to many coffee shops across the US and find this place to be an absolute gem amidst the plethora of caffeine retailers. Class, thought, and creativity are reflected in every detail of atmosphere, menu, and customer service. Extremely pleasant staff. Phenomenal menu. Truly impressed and delighted.

This is a great new coffee shop in downtown Tacoma! The customer service is awesome, everyone is incredibly friendly. The coffee they serve ( Kuma coffee) is so delicious and I love that if you sit it and have your coffee there they give you sparkling water which is so refreshing. Also try some of their homemade syrups, the lavender is a must! Great addition to Tacoma, don't miss this spot!

God, this place has the best lattes in Tacoma. So simple, smooth, and creamy. Also have delicious specialty drinks, if you're looking for something different. They also have insanely delicious pastries. I just wish they were open on the weekends.

Great crafted drinks. More than just coffee. I had mulled pear cider today, made onsite. It was fantastic! Also have kombucha, various cold drinks, in addition to great crafted espresso drinks. The setting is very cool. Historic post office lobby outfitted with chic seating, fun retro music and beautiful natural light. Staff is excellent and friendly.

One of my absolute favorite coffee shops with friendly and knowledgeable baristas. I’ve never had to tell any of them how to make a proper macchiato or cortado. And if you’re craving something fancier, they always have unique and tasty coffee drinks to try on their menu board.
It’s worth the meter cost!

I love coffee and this place has GREAT coffee. I've only been once so far, but my first time will not be my last! I ordered the Madama Blanc and holy moly was that amazing! The coffee was rich and smooth, just enough sweetness and the foam was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better cup! The service is great too--answered my questions, gave some great recommendations and just overall nice conversation while I wanted for my beverage. Oh, and if you're vegan--their coffees, like the Madame Blanc is made with almond milk and they offer vegan breakfast burritos too! Can't wait to try more from their menu!

Delicious coffee and housemade flavors! The baristas are awesome and everything is truly delicious! Bonus perk, you can walk with your coffee over to the lift bridge their named after to get a beautiful view of the mountain! Definitely worth trying!
