Regence....the company that screws you as insurance goes, and screws employees! For me, my doctor wanted to do an MRI on my knee, Regence denies this for me. I am close to needing knee replacement and they said it was medically not necessary? Where did they go to medical school? Where is there medical license?
My cousin started training with them. She told them she had a doctors appointment, and her supervisor said that it would not be a problem. She goes to her appointment, and the next day they fire her because she missed a training day! Really!?!? Supervisor said it was ok, yet they fire her! They are a POS insurance company as well as a POS employer!
Do yourselves a favor...don’t have anything to do with Regence!

A few decent folks apparently trained to ignore and delay patients rather than fulfill the medical needs of those who pay large premiums. Extremely disappointed with the "customer service" folks who clearly don't care how legitimate the patients needs are. All they care about is making it difficult to obtain the benefits you are entitled to. Never written critical reviews until today's frustrations drove me to do so.

A simple doctor's office visit that has a $15 copay with other comparable insurance companies costs over $95 with this garbage company. The people handling their complaint department are zero help. If I could give zero stars, I would. Worst insurance company I've dealt with by a massive margin.

$,2000 co-pay for hospital stay. Won't pay for UV protection on sunglasses. $800 co-pay for Cataract Surgery, $1,000 for one hearing aid. I'm paying a premium for this??? Changing insurance companies when it's open enrollment.

LOUSY SERVICE YESTERDAY AND TH DAY BEFORE!! BOTH REPS PROMISED TO SEND ME LIST OF PREFERRED PROVIDERS FOR i I MASSAGE THERAPY AND DID NOT DO SO.
I ALSO ASKED FOR A CLAIM FORM FROM A REP YESTERDAY WHO SAID SHE WOULD EMAIL IT TO ME. SHE LIED TOO! SHE SENT ME NOTHING!

NOW I AM GOING TO HAVE TO GO TO THE MARKET STREET TACOMA OFFICE TO SEE IF I CAN GET A CLAIM FORM.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!

IF THIS TYPE OF SERVICE IS WHAT OTHERS RECEIVE, THEN REGENCE BLUE SHIELD/ UNIFORM MEDICAL SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE.

If you want an insurance company that collects your premiums and then denies claims, this is the company for you. Worst insurance I have ever had.
