Old Town Pizza and Tap House

Ordered the bbqc pizza, it was delicious and cooked perfectly. Employees were friendly and helpful. Going there for the first time was a little awkward because you had to order at the front off to the side and there was a posted menu, just paper menus taped to the front window and available at the cash register.
The alcohol menu was electronic so it kept going back and forth between the first and second half of the menu, it wasn't printed anywhere. I could also barely read it from the cash register.
Apart from the weird set up for paying, it was a good time with good food. They also had games for kids to play.

This place was first-class; like none other I've ever experienced! I've been to lots of pizzerias that has gotten it wrong, but this place was phenomenal ❤ For starters, they really know how to pack a pizza; not only with toppings, but with great taste. The first night, I got the Chuck Norris with buffalo wings. The wings tasted a bit burnt, but I guess it's because I asked for crispy. However, they were still finger-licking good. So of course, I came back the next night. I selected the toppings for this pizza myself, and AGAIN, they didn't disappoint. I got BBQ the next night, and they were a lot better. Most pizza joints only makes the pizza right and screw up on wings and other small items, but this place got it right, through and through. All the staff I encountered were extremely nice and made me feel welcomed the moment I entered. I'm sad that I probably won't ever eat here again, once my job ends in Elk Grove, but I will always remember this place and recommend it to any/everyone!

After being born in Chicago and living there for for 50 years, I think I know a little bit about pizza. A real Chicago with knows that the corporate deep dish pizzas are strictly for the tourists. The great pizzas are the little neighborhood pizza places where families go and locals hang out and everyone has a good time but they also get a really darn good pizza! And Old Town Pizza fits that to a tee!! I just got a takeout but there was a little kids party and they were adults sitting at tables and at the bar watching football having fun. But I was extremely astounded by how delicious the pizza was. In the category of "AWESOME" is my interpretation. I will definitely be back to try different ingredients, but that Chuck Norris was simply Delicious!! Now if you would like, I can teach you California's how to cut a pizza, you see Pizza is supposed to be cut in squares!! Make three cuts one way turn it sideways and three cuts the other way, that's it. There is a drawback though ,Cutting it this way is also the reason why some Chicagoans are so tough. That will leave four little corner pieces which arguably are the best parts of that slicing technique .You'll have a grown man fight his grandmother for one of those corner pieces, LOL!! OLD TOWN PIZZA WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING, KEEP DOING IT!

Best pizza in town!! although also some of the most expensive. Very popular with families and kids in the early evening. Later it has a local bar feel with a good assortment of beers on tap and usually one cider.
Their mushroom specialty pizza is the best in NorCal.

Food was good. We really liked the super thin crispy pizza crust. Different from everyone else's! Almost cracker like. The blue cheese dressing was really good. The salad was pretty pricey for what you get, is my only issue. I'd skip it next time. Great beer selection, too! Live and learn I guess. The service was friendly and on point. Nice little pizza spot!

We came here after a tournament with our soccer team, the pizza was EXCELLENT & I got a salad that was also just as good. The restaurant was very busy but the staff was great and attentive, very nice staff that checked on us consistently. Would definitely come here again! Thank you!

Great food and large selection of beers. They make their dough fresh, no cardboard crusts here. Can be a long wait when it's busy. Great atmosphere and kid friendly.

Man what a place! The family wanted to try a new pizza place and we are glad we decided to try this place. The pizza was awesome, they have like 15 beers on tap so there's one you are bound to like and their spinach salad was so good. We tried the mushroom pizza and it did not disappoint. One thing that caught us off guard because we were first timers was that you have to find your own table and order your food at the bar. Even on a crowded Saturday night, we didn't wait longer than 5 minutes for a table. If you are in Elk Grove, give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

Some of the best pizza I have had in a LONG TIME! This place gives you that original pizza place type of feeling. The dough is where its at... and the pizza sauce tastes natural, rather than something from a jar or a can. When you pick up a piece of pizza-the cheese follows! I love cheese on my pizza......a lot of pizza places these days try to save money by limiting toppings and cheese, this place does not hold out! They also have some bomb chicken wings- crispy, quality meat selection and just enough sauce. Big selection of beers on tap as well. Good place to go eat at with or without your kids : )

Super yummy pizza. Loaded up with toppings and full of flavor. They even had a gluten free option that my friend really appreciated. The Beer selection is also legit w/ several local breweries represented.

This place is awesome, great fries, great pizza, great beer, and great service! I've been here quite a few times and I've never been disappointed. If you go on a weekend during peak hours be prepared to wait for a table and to wait for your pizza. Order the Jorge fries while you wait. It's definitely worth the wait.

This pizza place is solid. They have a large selection of beers including Pliny the elder. Went here to watch the playoffs, grab a beer and pizza. I got half and half. Mushroom and combo. The crust has a nice crisp that is unique to this place. The combination of it's nice crispy crust was the perfect

I'm in here at least once a month and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently amazing, and the service is top-notch. The friendly staff goes out of their way to make your experience memorable. They have a great selection of beers on tap, and the bartenders offer excellent recommendations. If you're looking for the best pizza in town, look no further.

This place was off the hook good. Service was supreme. Give that bartender a raise! On point all evening despite being super crowded and busy. Loved it

We live out of town, but when we were in the area, we had to come back for more after a family member introduced us to this pizza. Soooo, good! The crust is amazing with the perfect mix of crunchy and soft. We'll be back another time for sure.

This pizza is ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! If you are anywhere near this place(with in 30 mile radius) do yourself a favor and stop by and eat some pizza. 18 taps of beer and sometimes a cider. Friendly staff and the food is to die for.

Can get busy but staff is good at serving everyone quickly. Pizza tastes great.

Really nice people work here. I always enjoy coming in for a seat at the bar, and to try a couple different beers while enjoying some pizza.
