A restaurant where the manager actually spends time at each table making sure all aspects of the experience are good?
Not usually found in a place of this caliber..
Very pricey for a place somewhere between casual and fine dining.
Atmosphere was more on the casual side while food quality and portion size was definitely an upper tier experience..!
Too pricey for a family or "anytime" restaurant, but perfect for a business luncheon, a date night out or a casual party!

I really like this place. I've been coming for quite a few years. The food is very good and the drinks from the bar are pretty good as well, (catch them at happy hour). I love the minestrone soup and salad, both hearty and delicious. Try the chicken marsala you won't disappointed 😋.

The two of us had a great dining experience here. We shared the Salmon and Short Ribs. We both opted for the 3-course meal by adding both minestrone soup (not pictured) & salad. Everything down to the soft texture of the bread & fragrant garlic butter was delicious. Service was good as well. Parking does not seem to be an issue since there's a lot with plenty of signs which are reserved for guests dining here.

It's locally owned with a full bar. Located in old town Elk Grove. There's also a happy hour offering. It's basically gourmet with a hometown feeling to it. You can taste the love, passion & comfort in the dishes served. Everything was seasoned well & tasted fresh. No salt & pepper needed.

The atmosphere, the service and the food were 15 out of 10! Our server Nga was polite, fast and very attentive to our table. The food was flavorful, fresh and generous portions. The GM Chris stops at each table not only to check how everything was but help with service if needed. It's rare to find service and quality like this these days. We ordered the prime rib special and the farmers special-based short rib. Be sure to check out the cocktail menu for specials there is definitely something for everyone!
Would highly recommend and will be returning soon

Saturday, 11/11/2023 - Our 1st time at Brick House Restaurant. Address is 9027 Elk Grove Blvd Ste 100, Elk Grove, CA 95624. Took my honey to celebrate his birthday here. Heard they had prime rib. They do not do reservations here. It's 1st come 1st serve.

They do have a few charges that is listed on the bottom of the menu. Charges are:

$6.00 split plate or shared orders
$2.50 charge per person cake cutting fee
$18 corkage fee for 750ml wine bottle

Upon arrival...

Pros:
1) they have their own little parking lot next to the restaurant.
2) hostesses were very nice. They took my number down and name down. They text you when your table is ready.
3) restaurant is clean. Plates, cups, utensils, tables, and chairs all clean.
4) water tasted good. No funky or metal taste.
5) we ordered the prime rib with 1 potato and veggies. When it arrived, they cut our prime rib into two thinner slices and put it on 2 plates with 2 baked potatoes and veggies on each plate. Now it looked like steak vs a nice, chunky, medium rare prime rib, which was why we came here to begin with. We were both so disappointed 😞. So my honey talked to our server, JJ. He explained it's their policy to split the plate if anyone is sharing. JJ was very nice, talkative, and professional. Love that he smiled a lot while serving. He got his manager, Chris, to talk to us. Chris is awesome!! Best manager ever!!!! I told him it's my honey's bday and I took him there because I heard they have good prime rib. But they made our prime rib look like steak now that it has been halved. We pointed to a guy across from us showing his thick and chunky, medium rare prime rib and said that was how we were expecting it. Chris deserves a raise!!! He went to the back and got us exactly what we wanted, cooked medium rare. Oh my!! It was so perfect! He took the two thin slabs of prime rib back. He removed the $6.00 split plate charge. Thus, that is why you see in my photos a thinner sliced prime rib plate (which we didn't eat) and the nice, chunky prime rib photo (which we devoured). 😆 Made my honey's bday 10xs better! Their prime rib is so good!
6) oh and the home made cheese cake is friggen delicious!!!! It was perfect. Not too sweet and not too bland. The caramel had a slight burn taste to it which is delicious! Everything about it was perfect. You have to try this cheese cake when here.
7) JJ was great at checking in with us to make sure everything was going ok, tasted good, or if we needed anything.
8) cute decorations on the walls.
9) bathroom was clean.

Cons:
1) none!

Conclusion:
Oh we love this place. Customer service is an A+++. Parking is free and like i mentioned earlier, they have a little lot next to them. You can also drive to the back to look for more parking. They can get pretty busy pretty fast. They do have a bar area. Our server, JJ, was excellent, attentive, and I can see him trying to serve all his tables as best he can. There was a large group in the other room celebrating a bday and he too was serving them. Chris, the manager, was awesome! He made my honey's bday a blast. Chris even mentioned a few other restaurants with good prime rib to us. Super sweet! Thank you so much Chris and JJ for your awesome customer service!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I came here for the prime rib special, and it was incredible! The staff was helpful and friendly, and the food was fantastic! The food we ordered was definitely worth the price. We will absolutely be coming back here many more times in the future!

Haven't been in a while but pleasantly surprised by an oldie but a goodie. Come on Friday or Saturday and get prime rib that rivals most steakhouses. Large portions and the complementary bread and seasoned butter are outstanding. Our server, Nga, was fast, thoughtful (got us to go containers mid meal to save table space), and friendly.

I'm visiting the area for a business trip. My colleagues and I came in tonight for dinner. Our party of five was seated quickly. The wait staff was super friendly & met all of our needs. The atmosphere was nice & the food was amazing! The portions were very generous. Our whole party enjoyed our meals & appetizers. I ordered the chicken parm & it was delicious. I would definitely dine here again in the future!

Food is always good! It was popular, the wait line was long. We were hungry, so we didn't dine there that night. Next time for sure!

Outstanding food and atmosphere! If you're on the fence about coming to this place - do it! You will not regret your choice. We stumbled onto this hidden gem and I'm so glad we did, because we had a great experience! Owner, Chris is very welcoming and all staff I enteracted with were very friendly. Service was great. Our waitress, Michaela, was very friendly and prompt. Definitely bringing the family back soon.

Great clam chowder. Being from Boston, I'm very fussy about New England clam chowder. Very good veal.

Food was great, came on a Saturday night only a 10 minute wait but worth it. Atmosphere was cool bar area seemed happy. Food came out pretty quick and was delicious

Went to this location on a whim for my friends birthday. They got us right in and sat us down. Our server was excellent and our dinner was hot and delicious (and I’m very picky). I ordered the chicken piccata with soup and salad. Even the butter for the bread was delicious! I highly recommend this place for a great meal!

In town for baseball. I found this place on Yelp and after looking at the pictures I was sold. The farmer's special with polenta was legit. I will definitely go again if I am up in the area.

Great food and service. Just wish they had beers on tap. That would complete the experience.

Excellent food and service. We were not rushed to order or leave our table after eating. Food tasted great and was well prepared.

Went for happy hour and Jessica the bartender was fantastic, stayed for dinner and had our favoties.

Literally blown away!! Food,service and atmosphere is definitely 5 stars. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

The food was great, the service was excellent, or waitress was spot on. Plus it didn't wipe out the wallet
