My only complaint about this P.O. is the considerably long line/wait at times. It needs a larger space and more clerks. Having said this, I'm always greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who do a thorough job and never make me feel rushed. The two long term female clerks are especially pleasant and helpful.

Out of all the post offices I've been to in Washington state.. Mt Vernon's is my favorite. Very friendly and helpful workers. I've never stood on line for more than 15 minutes.. And that was at Xmas time!

This is the only one with self-service kiosk open 24hrs, after I tried two others in Bellingham per the USPS website but both locked. This location is a Life saver!!!

Was unfortunate enough to show up to mail some things today at the same time as a woman from guemes Island (I heard from the conversation, since she chose to raise her voice repeatedly at the worker so everyone could hear her nonsense), I commend the young female postal worker (didn't catch her name) for her patience with this customer, who wasted more of her own and everyone elses time by blabbering irrationally and in anger then finally allowing you to participate in conversation and research the matter to supply her with any helpful information.
Most would have not been able to treat this person as nicely as you had.
Hope this review finds you well and helps wash away the negativity from this person. No one that shows up to a job to make a living deserves to start their morning with such nonsense from others.

I love the wise and patient staff at this Post Office, especially one quiet, wry man who has impressed me so much, but whose name I've never known. I once came in and witnessed an angry woman having a seemingly unprovoked tantrum and speaking loudly to no-one in particular, trying to pick a fight. The wise, calm, skilled diplomacy of this guy in defusing a tense situation was a marvel to witness. I appreciate the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, especially after the demoralizing few years they have undergone recently. Thank you, USPS Mount Vernon. xxx

Postal workers are the most patient people at this location. Super helpful at getting my packages sent across the country and making sure the address is accurate. Location is understaffed due to budget cuts across the US. I wouldn't blame the workers for poor service, blame the cost cuts.

It was busy but they worked as a team and helped each other with customer needs. With as long as the line was, I thought I would be there all day. Instead, staff came out of the woodwork to help where they could and did it with an exceptional and friendly attitude. The line hardly stopped and I got through in no time. Special thanks to Mark and his outstanding customer service.

Very nice staff. Always willing to help with smile. Love to visit this small beautiful post office.

Got my passport here and everything went very smooth. Despite the fact that I have said some bad things about the USN, (All true), the veterans that work here I feel I can trust and they treat me good.

Very nice staff, people that rated this place 1's don't realize how the real world works. If they have the staff they open up every register possible, even manager takes care of people just picking up packages. Great place!!

I have had wonderful service here. Everyone has been so kind and nice. It is a big difference from what I have experienced in King county.

My carrier went the extra mile to redirect a package, delivering it safely at the wee hours of the morning. Thank you!

I like the self service kiosk in the lobby. Quick and easy. No lines for the kiosk. Otherwise, be prepared to wait in a long line especially during holidays.

No problems posting something internationally. The staff where knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was easy to prepare and send.

Always a pleasure doing business here, even when the lines are long...the good natured and humorous staff keep folks smiling! :-)
