I was fortunate that a friend recommended Silver Linings Transitions for my upcoming move. The company is truly amazing and is especially recommended for elderly people. My team of three (Christina, Susan and Pamela) were very easy to work with. They were friendly, professional and highly organized. The logistics cannot be better. After initially getting acquainted and taking pictures of what has to be moved, the packing team comes with their own supply of packing boxes and material. My move took three days of packing. After the move, the unpacking was done in one day, mostly following the photos from the first visit with great success. The added bonus of the company is also that they own their packing material and one is not stuck afterwards with having to get rid of boxes. My daughter got hold of some advertising brochures of SLT and gave them to the Cancer Society Discovery Store in San Diego. There were pleased.

I don’t know where to begin. Christine and Dawn at Silver Linings Transitions were so talented and knowledgeable as to what I needed to have done and exactly how the move from my home of many years to a senior living complex in the town next door needed to proceed. They handled the entire project from start to finish. My part was to decide what I wanted to take with me and what to leave behind. On the moving days, one for boxed items and one for my furniture, I made myself scarce so they could work without distraction. They called me on the second afternoon to say they were finished and ready for me to take the tour. I walked in the door and could not believe my eyes. Everything they packed and moved for me had found a new home, from the furniture to all the kitchen items, books in the bookcase, pictures professionally hung on the walls, bed made up and clothes hung and put away. There were many finishing touches that they thoughtfully arranged for me. My favorite books happened to be on the top shelf of the bookcase. Framed photos of my daughter were perfectly displayed throughout my new apartment. They left an orchid on a table by the window as a gift for me. It lent a sweetness to the whole scene. They were SO intuitive about placement and so much more that it’s hard to describe. They must be accredited interior designers by the looks of all the final details. I’ve been on cloud nine for weeks since the generosity of their gift of a serene and lovely new home influences me daily in so many loving ways.

We used Silver Linings recently to move our dad in to an assisted living facility. And I can tell you that our dad said it was the “best decision and money well spent”. Not only did SLT help him identify what pieces were special to him, but they also provided a space plan and packed everything for him. Beth and Michelle (our team leads) were absolutely amazing. They worked magic and were so compassionate and patient with our dad. They coordinated the movers and unpacked everything and made the new space exactly as he liked it. They took a very emotional and stressful event and turned it into a more joyful experience. I cannot say enough good things about Silver Linings. I don’t think I would ever move without using their services.

Silver Linings did a wonderful job designing, organizing, packing, delivery and unpacking and setting up our household in our move to a seniors living facilities. My wife and I are in our late 70s and have been in our home for 36 years and moved to a much smaller home. Silver linings came to our rescue by templating what would fit in our new home and suggested alternatives. They worked tirelessly to meet our goals. I'm in the process of "Swedish Death Cleaning" to both prepare for moving and to make it easier for my heirs to clear out my condo after I die. I have worked with other de-clutter businesses and often felt that I had to adhere to a certain style or process, even if it didn't work for me. With Silver Linings Transitions, I don't feel that pressure at all. This process will take a long time, and my organizer is fine with that. I completely recommend them!!

Over the course of two weeks we made two moves and Roxanne arranged for the movers who had to pick up the load for the first move and deliver it to three different locations and on the second move they had to pick up and load at two different locations and deliver to its final location. She assembled the packing and unpacking teams twice so we were able to make both moves on schedule. Silver Linings did a great job throughout our moves.

I can't say enough about my experience with Jami and the Silver Linings Transitions team. My parents had to leave their home of 40 years and transition into assisted living which is an emotional time, to say the least. From the first day I met Jami at my parents' home, I knew we were going to get through this with her help. We had 100% faith in her and she didn't let us down. To complicate matters, I live out of the country so most of our communications during the planning stages were done long distance. Jami coordinated everything from recommending a realtor to sell the home (who was amazing, by the way), to setting up the movers, setting up the haul away of 40 years of accumulation, and the list goes on (Jami even jumped in on moving day). When it came time for the actual move, Jami's team, with Beth in the lead were phenomenal. I will never forget the look on my parents' faces when they walked into their new home for the first time and saw all of their cherished possessions all perfectly decorated and everything neatly put away. We never could have done this without Jami and her team and I am so grateful to them for making such a difficult time seem like a piece of cake. They are truly Magical!

What a great experience working with Silver Linings and "our person" Christine. I couldn’t have done this move without her and her team, Michelle and Beth. Christine’s coordination, suggestions, shepherding, counsel, ideas, and just practical help was a gift beyond measure. Michelle and I worked together for several days moving and organizing the kitchen and BR. She too has skills that shined! She read my mind making my bathroom and kitchen set up instantly useable. Beth slayed the closet dragons and we could find our clothes which was terrific. Moving is stressful, especially downsizing from large two-story home filled with 30 years of life to a lovely single story. They coordinated the movers (who were terrific, professional, and so careful with all my fragile things), getting my unwanted items and furniture removed, and completed endless other details. I have organized our past moves but am glad I didn't do that; Silver Linings made all the difference. The night I moved in our bed was made and I could find all my things and be operating the next day. Having the help packing and unpacking with professional home organizers is a whole new level of fantastic! I thank Jamie, Dawn and the rest of the team mentioned above from the bottom of my heart.

Our project "Lead" was Roxanne. She was always enthusiastic, encouraging, organized and especially knowledgable. She effectively managed us quickly and efficiently through our significant downsizing. Pro Delivery Service, whom SLT worked with, did an outstanding job of safely moving all of our furniture and goods to our new apartment. Roxanne and her team then placed everything in the appropriate locations. So, when we arrived we felt right at home in our new space.

Silver Linings did a wonderful job for us with our sudden move to Assisted Living. Christine and Beth were outstanding! Christine even came two weeks earlier to pack all my China to be shipped to my granddaughters. I never knew such a service existed and I learned about it through our Realtor, Bryan Devore, Devore Realty. Christine kept telling me, "don't do anything, just put things in piles". That was hard for me to do. The final touch was hanging our pictures in our new apartment. That was the icing on the cake to make our new place a real home. Thank you for such a great service. Moving my mom was an extremely challenging effort and the folks at Silver Linings were there every step of the way. Highly recommend them. Our story is quite unique and special, at least to us. We learned of Silver Linings Transitions through our Senior Living Consultant, Jennifer Afalava of Care Excellence Team. Shortly thereafter my Mom and I met the founder Jami Shapiro, and then her amazing team during an extremely difficult time. Everyone was wonderful and put my Mom at ease right away. My Mom took a special liking to Amanda and Beth. They're so positive and kind and even though my Mom had to leave her home of 25 years, knowing these young women would take care of everything, made the process much easier. Our first move with Silver Linings was from the home to a one bedroom unit at Santianna Signature Living in Carlsbad. Months later Silver Linings was with us again when my Mom had to move into a Studio on another floor. Then Silver Linings was with us once again for another move from Santianna into Vienna @ Santianna Memory Care, which was the hardest move yet. Amanda was there for each one of the moves, which was a Godsend, especially for my Mom, who was struggling with this move the most. If it wasn't for Silver Linings we would have never been able to get through everything that has happened in the last 15 months. We are so grateful to Silver Linings for their compassion, special and creative talents to make everything perfect and for truly CARING about those who they are helping.

Jamie & Beth at Silver Linings Transitions are amazing people to work with. They provided an outstanding service while helping me downsize & organize my new home. Beth is the Queen of Organization! Jami and her team were phenomenal to work with! As a Senior Placement agency, we referred our client to them and they coordinated the move, packed the belongings, took pictures of the set up at their home and made it a replica for our client in her new home! The girls are very thorough and professional. They came to our house way before the move and helped us decide what furniture would git in our new home. They then mae a floor plan of where all the furniture would be place in the new home. Christine and Dawn made the move so easy and stress free. They know how to efficiently pack up the house and unpack us into our nee place.
