Fishs Eddy

Some people go to New York to visit museums, I go to visit Fishs Eddy. I highly recommend this store if you like funky and functional dishes and kitchen accessories. The vibe there is lovely. 💜

Love Fishs Eddy! Ill stop in here when I want a gift for a friend or something unique for my own place. I love the artwork too, but it tends to be out of my budget. The staff that is hired is friendly and will help you when needed. This is what a NY store feels like and you should bring visitors here!

Quirky and eclectic selection of dishes, cutlery and cups. Idea is to mix and match for a unique style.

Really enjoyed this store. Went two times over the weekend, once for randomly and the second was for the celebrity gift wrapping. All the gifts available at the store are alot of fun and the celebrities that were in the store wrapping gifts were kind and a lot of fun. Swing by here next time you’re in NYC.

I loved the store they have unique stuff

They have a huge selection of diner and restaurant (original and inspired) plates, dishes, cups, saucers, cake stands , fiestaware. They also have patterns that are created just for them.
Even if you aren't in the market for anything, the grocery is displayed in such a way as to make it easy to change your mind. Great for gifting.

A store for very cute and charming home decor. My favorite is the pet portrait section in the back.

I discovered this nifty home goods store after seeing it featured on Actress Debi Mazar's Instagram page. I absolutely love all the vintage dishes, mugs and glassware. They also have great items for those with a good sense of humor. This place can be quite expensive, but you can tell everything is of great quality and supposedly is unbreakable. I definitely recommend and I will most certainly be back.

Love this store! And I've loved it since it was a small place in the Village. They used to have a lot more vintage restaurant ware, but they still have enough to make it fun. Of the new stuff -- very high quality, interesting designs and pieces. Really reasonable prices for the quality. Plus . . . the store is just flat-out fun. As far as I'm concerned, look no further for everyday dishes.

They're NY, Brooklyn, and beach amusement park themed ware are really clever - GREAT NYC souvenirs. Fun even for us locals. Glassware excellent and great designs from traditional to more contemporary. They do shipping for nominal charge, and everything is perfectly and safely packed

Staff is a joy - very helpful, always friendly

Recently it seems they carry more vintage restaurant china and logo china. There are also other antique artifacts that are always changing. You never know what they're going to have.

I love visiting this quirky kitchenware store whenever I visit New York. I always leave with a few items I didn’t even know I needed. Some favorites include a plate the shape of a jelly bean, a glass sugar holder, and mini ceramic cream pitcher.

Tons of cool dishes and other random things. I like the local dish wares. Definitely very unique. I like the stuff they have. This is around the corner from Union Square. Definitely check this shop out. Great souvenir stuff too!

Owner Julie and awesome artist son Ben are brilliant, kind, funny people who help make NYC so wonderfully unique. (No wonder Amy Sedaris is their friend!)

It’s magical just passing by but a revelation walking in.. the atmosphere is unlike anything else in the city, warm and welcoming, fun vibe, cool music, with the historic space itself being half the experience (old school high ceilings and fixtures, with worn, wise old wood floors). The stock is a wide variety of affordable, amusing, vintage and new, witty, well made and practical goods.. (ideal for gift giving)

Owners are subtle but not shy about standing up for what’s right too. If you know, you know.

Btw, check out their book how Julie and hubby David started the shop decades ago. A true a labor of love, and perfect old school NYC business success story.

Be prepared to spend at least 15 mins looking around, there’s *so* much to look at.. take advantage of the bench in back for parking a tired friend/partner!

Dishes are great, but they also have cute art, which is so easy to pack if you're looking for something to take as souvenirs. My favorite was a collection with sayings that the artist heard on the subway.

Love this place and the electric selection.. you can find many nice things for tourists and even for locals.. the recent book on the founder is inspirational and her son is an artist who draws those lovely animal painting!

Couldn’t love this store more. As a local I still go here frequently for things. Have many of their patterns for everyday dishes. Also always bring friends who visit the city here. The quality is quite good and the designs are even better. There is one particular item that is an essential. The “rest in grease” spoon dish for the stove. It’s also a great spot to get someone a NYC gift that they will probably use for the rest of their lives.

By far our favorite dishware store in NYC. I have been purchasing dishware from Fishes for over 20 years, and each visit brings new options, ideas and smiles! It's simply a great store with great staff, great pricing and unique products!

Needed a really special wedding gift picked it and they shipping it.

Boy would I love to do displays with the owner for future customers. Such an interesting palette of fun! Fyi: they did have a nice cheeseboard that looks like an artist's paint palette!

This is such a a cool store. Tons of fun and way too tempting. I love the adorable signs posted here and there.
