Islands Restaurant Carlsbad

Very polite service at this location, and as usual, great food. Kilauea burger is bomb. Prices are a bit high but that doesn't stop me from going to Islands once in a while!

Six of us coworkers came here for lunch. 5 of us are from different states. We all ordered different things and everything was great! I ordered the Yaki which is grilled teriyaki chicken tacos with pineapples. It was amazing! Better than I had even expected! The raspberry tea was also great! We had Taylor as our waitress and she was super helpful and friendly! She definitely had a personality and was outgoing and we loved it! Great place to come with your family or to just come to the bar!

We ordered and enjoyed the island nachos, truffle fries, and fish tacos (both grilled and fried). All very delicious! Wait staff was very attentive and the happy hour menu was fantastic with some good drinks! Definitely a fun family restaurant or a nice place to grab a drink and munch on some island themed appetizers!

Fun little joint with amazing service and great food!! Friendly from the moment I stepped in the door until I left. Portions are huge and worth every penny. Will most definitely be a returning customer.

We had never been here but were in town for a tournament and the teen boys saw it and wanted to try it. It was a Saturday night about 9pm, no wait seated right away. Preston was our server and he is the hands down best server we've had in years! Got all got burgers and fries, which were huge portion delicious and cooked to perfection! When we mentioned we had never been in before and loved it, Preston offered us a free desert! His service was above and beyond...we will be back next time we are in Carlsbad for sure!

Always a 10 out of ten. This time I had the impossible burger. It was really tasty and if no one had told me it wasn't actual ground beef I never would have known the difference. Love the onion rings.

Best Hawaiian burger I've had in years!!! The cocktails were so yummmy. I highly recommend ordering a "Shiped Wrecked " cocktail. Very tasty

Really enjoying the atmosphere here at Islands. It had been years since I had visited an Islands, but glad I decided to give it another try. And if you like Mojito drinks - you will love their mojito!

Islands Restaurant has a fun atmosphere. I had a Chinese type chicken salad with water chestnuts, crispy noodles, etc. ,it also has carrots, edamame & large mandarin oranges. It was a large portion. For me, I wish it was chopped, like it use to be years ago. Easy parking.

I sat in the bar area at a high top table. The service was excellent. We split the Hula Burger and subbed regular fries for sweet potato fries. Probably the best sweet potato fries ever. Great selection of local beers. The beers are always served in an iced cold mug even with a layer of ice!!

Great 👍 islands Restaurant. Mainly, it’s a mixture between American and Mexican foods. It’s on I5 in Carlsbad near the outlets. I usually make it a stop on my way back from San Diego. They have great burgers 🍔, salads 🥗, bar food 🍱, and fries 🍟. Thanks 🙏 to Sydney for great recommendations.

I came in here to order a hamburger and dessert and a drink because I'm homeless now and I've been just so sad. This young gentleman at the restaurant paid for my whole dinner and this is by far my favorite location and I've tried them all believe me when I had a house to live in. I am a senior citizen and the generosity of this young man went over and Beyond his name is Wences and he blessed me when I didn't think they were nice people in the world anymore.

Love Islands!! Food is consistently good. Service will vary but overall good. Good place for a family with small kids. The restaurant is loud.

Best Hawaiian burger i have ever tasted! Pina colada was amazing too. Just down the street from Legoland, this place offered something for every family member. Love the location to nearby hotel and shops. The atmosphere is great for watching sports too.

Excellent food & service today at Islands Restaurant, Carlsbad! My wife likes Islands Tropical Iced Tea, & I like the regular iced tea, so we began with those. Our server, Kelly brought a small dish of extra orange slices for my better half. She brought enough to keep my partner supplied, through several refills of tea

We ordered a basket of fries, to start with. Islands Fries are cooked perfectly, golden brown, nice & crisp. We'd forgotten to ask for Ranch dressing, so when these beauties were delivered to our table, our server asked if we'd like some Ranch with them. I nodded, & Kelly rushed back 4 containers of their yummy white dressing, to our table.

We ordered a Bleunami Burger, Lettuce-Wrapped, with Grilled Onions instead of the Red Onions that come with it. Our burger was cooked perfectly Medium-Well, just as we'd ordered it. The grilled onions were a great addition, & this burger also comes with a nice spread of chunky Bleu Cheese on it. On the plate as well, was a small container of Bleu Cheese dressing, so we could add as much as we liked, to make sure this Bleunami Burger was riding a Tidal Wave of flavor, right into our mouths.

Kelly provided us with awesome service the whole time we were here, getting refills for our teas, at least 3 times, each.

I got a Caesar Salad with the Bleunami Burger, as we'd filled up on fries, earlier. Islands Caesar Salad Dressing is one of the better Caesar dressings I've tried.

Great burger, fries & drinks, plus superior service at Islands Carlsbad on 8/16/22. Five ⭐'s.

Hayden Peña had excellent customer service and delivered food swiftly. I would go back just for that reason. He was also very respectful and professional. You don't see good manners and hardwork from many people these days but Hayden went the extra mile to accommodate myself and my family.

I got the China Coast Salad & hubby got the Tiki Tenders, we LOVED them both !! The salad was something I will definitely return for again !! The service was excellent too !
