Dini's By The Sea

Such a lovely place right next to the ocean! The atmosphere was fun yet calm, and the service was amazing! Probably the best meal we had on our trip! Food was flavorful, adequately portioned, we loved it all! Would definitely come here again if ever in the area, and 10/10 would recommend to others!

The food and beverages here are fantastic! It took a little while before our server came to take our order, but they seemed short staffed and it was happy hour. We had the house wine and the spicy margarita. Both were good, although be warned. The spice level in the margarita is pretty high. We both had the side salad. I had the crab cakes and my husband had the blackened prawns. The side salad was so big that I couldn’t finish it. Crab and shrimp were both very fresh. I will definitely be back.

Since my review was written, we’ve been back two more times. It was as good as the first time. The French dip sandwich was delicious as well as the fish and chips.

Nice spot across street from the ocean. Quaint place for a sunset dinner. That bread bowl clam chowder was tasty.

Staff was knowledgeable on the variety of specials they have. Zack was wonderful, attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and well presented. They have complimentary muffin with butter during brunch and they were yummy. Price is good and they have big portions. View is wonderful beach just across the street. We were seated at their patio the best seat in the place. Love that you can bring your dog with you and they have parking lot in the back. Overall highly recommended place and we would be back with friends.

This might be my favorite restaurant in Carlsbad. Food is always reliably good, very good drinks, friendly staff, and I always have a fun time. Recommend their prime rib night!

Delicious food! We just had the Cobb salad with shrimp, 4 wonderful grilled prawns. The Cobb salad was the best my husband had ever had. 8 had a house salad, Delicious! Creme brulee was excellent. Wonderful location by the sea. Great service. We are coming back for lunch tomorrow!

Great place to eat and the coast is right in sight. Very pricey
I got the tuna tostadas and onion rings and a Coke, my wife got clam chowder and fries and a soda and my daughter got a kids pizza and a soda. Over $70 it's California I know but glad I went but wouldn't go back

Loved our visit! Easily parked in their garage behind restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised they had seating for 5 on their awesome patio-at sunset! Really great service, drinks & food!

Friendly & efficient service. Food was outstanding. Also had tacos and a wonderful salad. The sunset & beach view across the road were lovely.

One of our favorite places.
Great for a date night or with your family, you can even bring your Pup. There is outside seating, which overlooks the ocean.
My favorite dish is the Blackened Chicken Pasta. The sauce is so creamy, chicken was just the right consistency for me, not dry. There is a good amount of choices from the menu. Let’s not forget your Pup choices.. chicken, beef or salmon; our pup loves his Chicken and Beef.
Bloody Mary’s are delicious as well. Great choices of drinks too.

Off season visit to Carlsbad - we had a fabulous meal at Dini's. Don't miss out on the clsm chowder! Seating is really comfortable and great views from the patios. Staff were accommodating and fun. Great spot! (The place fills up fast - opens for lunch at 11:30 - don't be late!)

Great food, drinks and service!

Fast service food was great get the steamer prices where on point alot food for the money. Great place for a drink the bar seem busy parking behind the restaurant was easy what a great place for the family or a date anything really.

Spent my bday at the beach. Had dinner right before sunset at Dini's. Atmosphere was great, family friendly, and view of ocean across the street. Food was excellent, had the blackened chicken pasta. Glad we found this place for dinner. Will certainly be back when in town.

Location is great! We didn't eat, just had drinks on the patio.

This was a great restaurant right on Carlsbad State Beach. Our family of 6 had a great meal, and all of us claimed it as a favorite. The Calamari was the best I've had in my life!!! We also had salmon sandwich, shrimp pizza, and kid's burgers...all were great. Great service, great bloody mary's, great view... we'll be back!!!
