Equestrian Circle Trailhead

This is one of my favorite places to go hiking. So many different trails to explore and the views are amazing.

This is the Equestrian circle entrance to Mission Trails. We took the grasslands loop trail. It connects to a number of other trails. We ended up at the Old Mission dam. We went on a Saturday morning, but the trails weren't over crowded.

I always park at the Equestrian Circle, bathrooms close by, less people and located right of the 52 freeway.

Can't wait to see the new building.

Friends and I did a hybrid of a couple different hike trails; Grasslands Crossing, Grasslands North Loop, and the Equestrian Circle. Being overcast and after 1 pm, there were many more parking spaces available than usual. Being overcast with a cool breeze made the open Grasslands (no shade) bearable, even enjoyable. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the trail offshoots when I don't have an eight year old with the group. I shot some great photos with beautiful golden blonde grasses in contrast to the deep greens of plants to the lavender clouds, scrub plants and wild flowers. I'm usually more of a green forest, trees, water, and ferns hiker, but I really enjoyed this hike and this park. Trails were relatively well marked; could have used more signage getting from outside roads to correct trailheads. Bathrooms at the visitor center were spacious and handicap friendly, clean(!), and well stocked with TP and hand soap.
