DIESEL, A Bookstore

Diesel is a special bookstore located next to Jimbo's in Del Mar. They have a wide selection of books and cards and the staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them!

Bookstore is small but all books are nicely displayed, especially the children's area is lovely designed. My daughter had a good time checking out all the newly released books. All books are organized according to their reading level and category as well. Pretty neat! It's quiet and plenty of seating options are available. As a big fan of dragons, I have to show you their dragon books collection :) Will visit it again.

Just went in here once so far but I was very impressed by the curation of the children's book area as a mom. I will definitely be back with open wallets and hoping I don't go too broke buying all the goodies. Beautiful shop!

Love this book store. They have new and old fiction, including Agatha Christie, Kurt Vonnegut, one flew over the cuckoo‘s nest.

Wonderful little bookshop tucked away into a shopping center. Stopped by on a trip to get a vacation read and they had a great selection, as well as a wall of staff recommendations. The staff were friendly and helpful and everything was fairly priced!

Beautiful little bookstore! Impressive selection in such a small footprint. It was a little crowded when I went, so may not be the spot if you're hoping for personal attention/interaction. Don't make my mistake and go here after Jimbo's or your ice cream will be thoroughly melted before you can drag yourself out!

A cozy modern bookstore takes the place now that Barnes & Noble was torn down to make way for the new section in the Del Mar Highlands. It’s nice to have seating scattered throughout the store. Staff seemed very excited & willing to help.

Have a great arrangement of books, beautiful cloth bound ones too. Not a place I would go for comics or Manga though.

So glad I just found this bookstore. It's always fun supporting local and all three people that helped me in the store were attentive and so enjoyable to talk to. I'm so excited about the different book recommendations they gave me! I will definitely be back. In a world where customer service sometimes seems lost, this bookstore is doing it right.

This bookstore is beautiful! The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I especially enjoyed browsing they're recommended book section. I was also very impressed with the children's book section, which is cozy with seating for kids to read and play.

Has a wonderful selection of books with beautiful covers and variety. Fun special editions and knicknacks as well. The employee was super kind! Can't wait to come back and explore it more :)
