Kingston Café

Great neighborhood spot with yummy organic food. Housemade Chicken Noodle was the perfect soup to welcome me to my new neighborhood. Reminds me a bit of Zocalo Coffee house on the other side of the Bay, where I just left after 21 years. I will certainly be back! :)

Stopped in on my lunch break for a sandwich and drink. Had the Monroe (chicken salad) as a friend recommended it. It did not disappoint and was absolutely delicious and generous. The new owners are extremely friendly and are trying new items to add to the menu, including breakfast items like waffles. Give this local family run place a chance. These times are hard especially as the local school across the street, which my son attends, is closed obviously because of COVID. Thanks Kingston!

This cafe isn't conveniently located to my work or home, but I went in on a lark two months ago and have been back at least once or twice a week since then. Each time, the coffee drinks (lattes and cappuccinos) have been consistently outstanding, and on the occasions where I've had food, the sandwiches have been quite nice and the pastries have been very decent.

As in most independent shops, the quality can vary a little bit based on who's behind the counter on the day you visit, so some days they've been *amazing* and some days they've merely been *quite good*.

If you have some reason to be in this neighborhood, you probably already know about this cafe; if not, it's worth going out of your way to visit.

A friend of mine and I went and we LOVED it! They have such a comfy set up from couches to long family sized tables even including a wardrobe packed with books and all sorts of card games and board games. We took a trip down memory lane as we played connect four while enjoying our coffee😉

Incredible cafe in an indiscrete location. The coffee was great and so we're the sandwiches. The staff were friendly and helpful when helping me find something good. I stayed at a hotel close to here for 5 days and came here every morning. If I'm back in the bay area, I'll definitely return to this cafe.

Very cute coffee shop across the street from an elementary school; you may notice the artwork on the walls features the nearby art students!Their sandwiches are tasty, and the coffee is good but it definitely depends on which barista you get. This place is perfect for a study spot or a chill get together with friends.

The owners have a real passion for excellent coffee, from beans to brewing to the foam on your latte. They put quality in everything they do, so the pastries and house-made sandwiches are made with the best ingredients. They care about all their customers, they make sure there are enough staff and they train them carefully.

This place is a gem. Having been staying in a hotel nearby for 2 weeks, I'm so grateful to have good coffee nearby! Ted, one of the owners, is welcoming and kind. They have a great menu for coffee (food is still to come) and the service is great.

Very cozy cafe with excellent service and beautiful, unique decor. Equally enjoyable whether you come for a quick visit or spend a couple hours just enjoying the ambiance. Their coffee and pastries are delicious too!

Love the fresh, handmade food, the homey atmosphere and the people who own the place are so nice, friendly, and down to earth. Makes you want to get to know them better... And they close the shop for lots of smaller holidays so you know they make play and rest as equal a priority as the hard work they put into running a cool spot well off the beaten path.

Great San Mateo location on East side of 101 Freeway. Equator Brand Coffee is served as a pour over or you can order ready brewed coffee. The Sandwiches are really good because of the fresh ingredients and freshly delivered sandwich bread. The cafe has good size tables for work and meals. All n All a good cafe for East San Mateo.

I love this place. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood, but easily unnoticeable. However if you found this place they have great coffee and bakeries and super friendly for children and babies.

Cute cafe with amazing service! I loved that they had a bunch of veggie (also meat) options for the breakfast sandwiches. Good coffee!

Everything was yummy good,love that its a cozy place....Sad to see them go...but good news I just meet new owner and some staff they are very friendly too,They are keeping same menu was glad to hear that! I personally love diversity.

Awesome neighborhood Cafe and restaurant. Lots of organic. Fantastic espresso and tea. Owners are super friendly and live locally. I go there and I'm not even a local ;->

Nice atmosphere with long communal tables, leather couches, and board games/books. Great coffee (I believe it's Equator) and I personally love the matcha tea latte and sandwiches.

Had a very good breakfast sandwich and coffee.

This place is awesome! Carrie and Collin are very nice. It's a nice clean place and environment. The sandwiches are very good. I usually get the Angelos breakfast sandwich it's really good.
