Stunning location especially if you are a golfer. The rooms are spectacular and the staff is amazing. I came on a work retreat and the buffet food we were served the whole time was spectacular. Truly a unique experience. The only downsides would be the $65 for a vodka tonic and old fashioned (outrageous) and pool/hot tub area could use a little attention.

We had a fantastic recent stay at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay to celebrate our 25th anniversary and bring in the New Year. The staff were all super friendly and laid back. The room was gorgeous, the view incredible, and the food was so good we can't wait to go back. We ate a nice meal on the patio with the spectacular view and fire pits. Our server congratulated us and comped us a very nice bottle of champagne. We were so pleased with our stay and hope to be back soon! Thanks to the whole crew at this property for making it so special and unforgettable!

Super luxurious hotel stay and as a titanium member, we booked the guest houses and was upgraded to the main building with a room as an end-unit. We were only staying for one night and they extended the late checkout time to 12pm during check-in the night before at 8pm and then they further extended the checkout to 2pm in the morning. The rooms had a great view of the golf course, Christmas tree and outdoor restaurant below. Very private with nothing between the window and the coastline. The fitness center is well equipped and included fresh fruit and fruit infused water. Also had access to the facilities for the entire day of check-out without any issues. The resort fee is very high but the best part is the 3 hour bike rentals which you can reserve online for free. Made very good use of this benefit to bike around the trail along the ocean with high quality bikes for off-road use with helmets and locks.

Just went for a drink. There in a lot just north of the hotel with a path to hotel. You have to order food to sit on the terrace (but it opens up for drink only after 5) or you can grab drinks at the bar and there are rows of chairs set up overlooking the ocean. Beautiful spot!

After living in California for eight years, I came to this place for the first time, and it's simply breathtaking, like a fairyland! Walking along the path next to the golf course, admiring the magnificent coastal scenery, my heart became so peaceful. It's about an hour away from the city, by the seaside, and it's definitely a great place for a holiday, if you need a gateway, come to visit it, you will love it.

Had an amazing time spent at the Ritz Carlton in half Moon Bay. Girl time is always a mess with my oldest daughter had a nice time walking around and enjoying the freshly oysters while memorizing the ocean and having a cocktail. Very nice ambience, quiet relaxing they must do when you’re in the area.

The staff is professional and helpful, th location is amazing 👏🏼! My husband and I helped when they were first setting up this hotel, so it is always nostalgic to come back to this gorgeous spot. Being by the beach, cliffs and ocean is amazing, even if cold and windy.

Amazing experience. The property is one of the most beautiful Rit-Carltons. The location is unique with stunning views and very friendly staff. Special mention to the Front Desk team, Miguel, Joana, Connor and all the team is doing an excellent work, going above and beyond make you feel like home. Dinner at The Conservatory was excellent, highly recommend the soup of the day and special mention also to Jared. Thank you Half Moon Bay team for this memorable stay.

This hotel was beyond exceptional.
Located at Half Moon Bay and the scenery is beyond compare.
The restaurants were great and our room had its own fireplace inside as well as an outdoor fire pit.
Their ladies and gentlemen provided the best care for our comfort.

Went there for a birthday celebration… bit miffed about the parking situation (had to valet just for the dinner), but otherwise an exquisite location, outstanding service and very friendly staff!!

Second year in a row staying here. This year was for our honeymoon and babymoon. They made every little detail so special for us. I couldn’t write a review great enough for the way they made us feel, the amazing service and the amenities available on the property.

I love staying here and visiting the spa while hubby golfs. The outdoor dining area with the fire pits and heaters is a great place to grab a drink and/or a bite and enjoy the views. I especially love the bagpipe player who plays at sunset. Side note: the hot chocolate is amazing!

We didn't stay here. We just went for evening drinks and fries and a walk on the trail. Such a beautiful location. Bay areas mini Scottish highlands.

Majestically architected Ritz-Carlton, set on a beautiful ocean front property. Glorious views of the Pacific Ocean, and wonderfully manicured grounds that allow the patrons to stroll the area while admiring the ocean views. Just beware of the stray shots from the golf course! Valet parking is available, but the wait time can be long.

Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay is one of our favorite hotels, we usually plan our visit on special occasions and nothing is as special as our wedding anniversary, so we decided to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary in this magical/dreamy place to make it memorable, we loved our time spending there with so much beautiful memories.

UPDATED - I was super happy to have the hotel reach out to me and make things right. Everyone makes mistakes, and it was just one front desk person who caused all the problems. EVERYONE else was great, apologetic and helpful after posting what happened. The Ritz HMB is a class organization that took care of this mistake and I am again and very happy and loyal customer and plan to be for many more years. THANK YOU FOR RITZ HMB.
Just had the worst experience of my entire career staying at this hotel. I’ve been staying there for almost 10 years bringing my daughters, my mom and myself for my birthday. Today was my daughter‘s birthday and one of the front desk managers. He claimed to be the front desk manager, but was not. Refused to check us in because I did not have my drivers license. I had other forms of ID. I had already checked in on the Bonvoy mobile app. I’m a titanium elite member. There was absolutely many ways to accommodate me. But instead he told me he would not let me stay at the hotel, and turn us around and we had to drive over four hours back home because he was a jerk. Also he treated me poorly because I was dressed in a hoodie and sweatpants because I was comfortable driving. I watched him talk to other people in sports coats in a completely different manner. The hotel called to say they were sorry, but really didn’t seem to mean it. I don’t think I’ll ever be staying at this again. The location and hotel is dated. The rooms are dated. And unfortunately, the staff that used to be great has now turned into jerks. This guy at the front desk was the perfect epitome of who you would not want to have working for you. So we wasted my entire daughters birthday and she’s completely devastated. Thanks Ritz. Not.

Outstanding place with spectacular views and services. Golf, eat, swim, dine and relax. Sit bye the fire outdoors and have a beverage of your choice. Ritz is always a treat. Not inexpensive but luxurious. Check it out.
