I love B&N. There’s nothing like wandering through a well stocked bookstore on a rainy day. This location in downtown San Luis Obispo is well stocked and maintained. Friendly staff , including the cafe area. The kids section is really great. Board games and Lego selection in the store is good . If you’re a manga fan, this place has a huge selection where you can find almost anything. As with all B&N’s there is a large discount books area located on the first floor that is laid out well and has a large selection of big books and classic novels.

Wonderful little B&N in the heart of SLO. Two levels, entrance is opposite the street side. There is a Starbucks upstairs, but if you want to use your Starbucks app for rewards, you need to go to the one across the way.
The bookstore is laid out nicely in a compact manner. The staff are helpful. I wasn't going to buy anything but a book on display caught my eye.
I like the size of the store, it's not spread out like some where you have to pack a bag to cross the Gobi desert.

I love Barnes and Noble. What more needs to be said. I can't wait to add these titles to my library. Book stores of all types are such wonderful places. Also, the gal at checkout was wearing such a cute dress. You go, girl!

Look I've always loved Barnes& Noble as a store, but this one sets itself apart with solid employees. Outside of the great customer service, they have a large selection of books that keeps me buying more, a sizable selection of gifts and gags to get the people in your life, and a thing I hope they always maintain is their reading socks for the holidays, super comfy and a great gift for people. Oh a really cool thing they do here as well is sell a mystery book you can buy which is a book wrapped up and you don't know what the book is until you leave.

Had a great selection of books! I love that the staff include brief descriptions of some of the books on the shelves! The staff was friendly and helpful during my visit. They helped me find a book I couldn’t find on my own. Would recommend this store.

I'm wanting to learn ASL to further myself in life and maybe help parents that have children that are autistic nonverbal. Because of my disability I can't go to college to get a chance to earn a degree so I have chosen to learn it on my own.
Barnes and Nobles had the right book I needed to accomplish this.

Anytime I come to SLO I come here just for books, always has what I need and want, if it doesn't it usually is there soon. My first place to go to when I want more manga and whatnot

I could spend the day in this bookstore. It’s lively and so full of anything you could want in a book, magazine and anything else related, even gifts and a coffee bar with seating. You can get lost in your own little world in here. Staff is friendly and willing to help. It’s very attractive and warm feeling. They work hard to keep it neat and orderly to add to the good vibe.

THANK YOU TO THE PERSON WITH GREEN HAIR! We had been driving around all day looking for a specific Lego set and online it showed this store had the set. When we got tot the store the set was not on the selves. We asked the employee with green hair if the set was anywhere else. They looked in the back and found us one! So sweet and we are very thankful

Great vibe with an amazing selection of books. The second floor is solid with a Starbucks. A good spot to chill and relax. Get a solid spot and spend a nice day with a book or your computer.

Huge bookstore.. Anything you are looking for, you'll find here. I had a gift certificate for $40.00. I managed to get 4 books. Granted, I was in the bargain section( of which there are many throughout the store). So, I left completely satisfied

Awesome people and great store. There an escalator that only goes up and not one that goes down. There's an elevator though.
Parking is tricky but it's a beautiful area to walk.
Always fun to visit and everyone is so helpful and kind.

When I go to the Coast, especially, around Christmas or my birthday, when/ if possible, I love going to Barnes & Noble location in San Luis Obispo, California! It is such a treat! Getting the chance to visit a Bookstore that is near the beach... Yes, please... AMAZING!! 🌠⭐
This location they has an amazing selection my favorite genres of Christian Fiction, YA, Romance, Fantasy, and Si-Fi and Historical Fiction novels and series! I bought the book a discovery which is in the photo below back in 2019 I believe.
A friend told me about this book series and then I heard about the TV show on AMC So of course I wanted to read the novels and watch the show! When I saw the book I had to grab it! It has become one of my favorite series ever and I cannot think my friend enough for sharing her love of good books and series. I even got my dad to read the series and watch the show and he is now a fan of this book series too!

Always fun to visit. There's something new to catch your eye. Who knew there was such a diverse selection in greeting cards, not your typical Hallmark. Stop in and check it out. There's a card there for everyone and for things you wouldn't even think to say. The book selection is incredible. Check it out.

I enjoy each trip to our local Barns and Nobles store for so many reasons, starting with the fast and friendly service their employees always seem to to have, down to the selection of books. Also located in our Barns and Nobles Bookstore is a Starbucks where you can enjoy a beverage, food all while you read your favorite item. Be it a book, magazine or newspaper. The quiet atmosphere mixed with so much comfort provides for some good reading and if you check their calendar you can even find activities for the children. It's a great down to earth bookstore with lots of great quality's from an elevator to an escalator that goes up to their top floor. There is even a public restroom you can use during your visit with them.

Male employee up in childrens section was exceptionally helpful. Took time to go downstairs and help me find a list of books for my granddaughter for Christmas. So nice to come to Barnes and Noble and be helped by such a kind patient young adult. Thank you very much!! Your kindness was greatly appreciated!!
