My favorite sandwiches in town. My favorite patio on the weekend. The sandwiches are great. The breakfast burritos are delicious. Always get MOJO potatoes on the side. The staff is excellent.

I remember when we went there in 1976 ( for years) and Lori was at the counter making sandwiches when it was a small town deli .. she was the best and the sandwiches were the e best. Small town local great stuff.

Great spot for sandwiches! Grab an order form in the store and check the boxes for what you want on your sandwich. My go-to is smoked turkey with pepper jack, the works, avocado on Dutch crunch!

My wife is Gluten Free so they made her a sandwich with Gluten Free bread, good to know!

Even the "half" size was huge and filled me up. The regular or bomber size I can only imagine for two people or if you want leftovers or if you are super hungry 🤣 Don't miss out on their house made potato chips, very excellent!!!

Store has been there forever, still as great as ever. Drinks and other food available too. Service is friendly and fast!

Tiny little shop full of life and great sandwiches! Had excellent customer service even for our larger group.

Parking is on the street and usually there are a few spots available even when it’s busy

Seating is outside so not ideal for a rainy or cold day but really nice on a sunny day

Great local deli. The wait can be long so it’s usually worth calling ahead. My favorite breakfast burrito spot in town and a great alternative to High Street for a sandwich.

One of the best sandwiches I have ever had. And it's the same every time. When you order you know your going to get the what you wanted. Plus lots to fill you up.

Great deli. Kinda pricey but totally worth it. There's a patio to eat on and have a beer if you choose. The have (I'm assuming) fresh banana, pumpkin, and choc chip bread by the slice. And everyone is pretty friendly and helpful. I recommend if you haven't tried them yet. 👍🏼

Just a consistently good sandwich and deli place. Just discovered that you can order online, and I was impressed with the online interface, super easy to use when ordering a custom sandwich with all the toppings were there. They have a big selection of options for your sandwich and will make your sandwich hot if you request it. The outdoor patio is also great on nice days and if you are eating with a group. The breakfast burritos are also great, but be sure to call ahead or else you might have an unexpectedly long wait.

Best sandwiches and beer selection in central California. They have kick ass Egg Burritos also. Lots of people there to take your order. People are friendly and fast. They have a great patio also. Whenever the wife and I are driving through SLO, we stop here to get a tri-tip sandwich with horseradish mayo. Great selection of local beers. I'm getting hungry thinking about that sandwich now.

One of my favorite places to eat in SLO and some of the best sandwiches and breakfast burritos that I have ever had. Lunchtime can get rather busy, so calling in ahead of time to place your order can help you skip the wait. Otherwise, you can always sit out on the shaded patio while awaiting your food.

We lived within walking distance of Gus's for years and it has been a favorite of ours since the first visit. The sandwiches are very high quality, I would say this is the best sandwich shop on the Central Coast.
They have a nice outside patio and the beer selection is good. Sitting outside with friends on a sunny afternoon sharing a beer at Gus's is a simple pleasure. Great neighborhood Deli and beer garden.

We were regulars here from about 1992-1997 and we stop in without fail every time we are in SLO. In our opinion this is the best sandwich shop anywhere. It’s a combination of a great sandwich, awesome location, sunshine, good beer, and all the fixins. My kid grew up in Gus’s t-shirts and is applying to Cal Poly for fall of 2021. If he ends up going our investment will come with a Gus’s meal plan. The best.

Been in SLO for about 6 years, and I've only been coming to Gus's for the past year. Seems like I've been missing out for the past 5!

They've got some awesome sandwiches and KILLER breakfast burritos! Overall, really great food and some amazing people working there, especially during these difficult times.

Great market/sand which spot only a short walk from the SLO Amtrak Station. I was able to hop off, purchase a tasty turkeys sub and IPA to bring back and enjoy for the remainder of my train journey south. The cashier was a little flustered due to operating 2 registers at the same time, but everything was efficient and she kept a smile the entire time. I noticed that there is a seating area outside (I’ll check that out next time) and they have specialty beers on tap. Great vibe, decor, service and the sand which is delicious. If you have a moment from the train, or are visiting San Luis Obispo, make a stop at Gus’s.

Solid choice for lunch. Good sandwiches, pretty quick, and I think they have the best bread in town. Highly recommend!

This is definitely the number 1 sandwich shop in Slo. Many give that title to high Street deli but high Street is over-hyped and over-priced. I am a full fledged sandwich enthusiast, so I take these things seriously. What I love about Gus's is that they don't charge for any toppings except the premium ones like bacon and avocado, so you can load up your sandwich with every standard topping and condiment at no additional cost. The quality of ingredients is fantastic all around. The bread and cheese selection is vast as well. My personal favorite is the curry chicken salad because it's very unique and flavorful. The hot sandwiches and breakfast burritos are all fantastic as well.

My sister recommended this little spot. I got a great breakfast burrito. It has a good selection of beers and chips. I didn’t get a sandwich but I will definitely come back to get a sandwich.

Incredible breakfast burritos. I love that you can customize them. I recommend calling 20 minutes I'm advance because sometimes there can be a long wait. It's worth it.
