In soliciting any kind of professional service, the top three things I look for are competence, integrity, and diligence. Upon meeting Debbie and Marla for the first time, I knew my realtor search was over, and they did not disappoint. Debbie’s team expertly handled the staging, marketing and negotiations for our San Mateo condo. I appreciated the frequent texts and communications keeping me apprised of the activity on the sale. Debbie knows the market well, sets realistic expectations, and sold our condo for list price. The added perk to working with Debbie is she’s a genuinely caring person. Excellent realtors are far and few between. What my wife and I both remarked on, when it comes to the Wongs, is their hard-won confidence. They research, analyze, present their findings, ask questions and listen; over and over again.

Debbie & Marla found out that our next door neighbors were putting their home on the market at the same time. They immediately told us that they'd been through this before and explained how they were going to respond. Then the Wongs went to work, setting up a collaborative relationship with the neighbors and their realtor; articulating a win-win strategy that they readily agreed to.

One last thing, and I wish I had a photo to show. Both the For Sale signs were up at the same time, ours and our neighbor's. Ours was clean, fresh and mounted plumb-straight. We interviewed three realtors. Debbie Wong was the most understanding of our needs and wants, and didn't try to force her knowledge on us but rather implement her skills caring for us. She showed us numerous homes and found us the most ideal house and setting. She advised us how to deal more effectively with the seller and their realtor and not only found us the perfect home, but best deal we could hope for with a stipulated fund to take care of basic house maintenance issues post sale, which we shortly discovered and she used her known contractors to provide effective relief with the sellers money fund contracted in for us. Debbie's knowledge and connections are second to none. If you are buying a home, I'd start by picking up the phone and calling her. We had to find a home quickly, with a number of specific needs. She found us the perfect home, and we moved in today, our first home purchase in California, and during a very difficult time to get everything put together with banks, movers, etc. She went well outside her role as a realtor, and showed genuine care and interest in us as people; this ranged from coaching us on buying strategy, to making sure that everything we needed was addressed (even when we had cleared contingencies).
