OK. This is not a trail that you can just stroll about and take it easy. Parts of the trail are easy but most of it is narrow and one needs to pay attention. Having said that, this is a quiet park and nature abounds. Enjoyed a lot. Couple of spots where one can get nice views of the Bay. Best is to access from the Arguella side.

A nice little park that has a loop trail about 1.5 miles in length. The trail follows the top of the canyon and loops down to follow the creek in the lower canyon. The upper canyon had an overlook with east facing views towards the bay. This trail has great natural scenery and is a great little hiking area.

Awesome short spunky hike with great markings and care. A great place for a quick workout with very few folks. I only saw 4 people total and 3 dogs. Quiet and peaceful. Also, spectacular million-dollar views at certain points!

We arrived at the trail head on Adeline Drive. It took us an hour to complete the trail because a shortcut is not in service. Very beutiful, saw birds, darners, lizards, and squirrels. Some slopes were hard to climb, even for a sunny day.

There's nothing better than a bit of nature and quiet to pass an afternoon. Even better if it's just a few minutes from home! My boys and I love exploring at Mills Canyon! It has an abundance of trees, plants, wildlife and the view isn't bad either!

Beautiful view of the bay, airport, and wooded areas. There's a creek as well. The elevation change is fun and the trail has a lot of nice features with logs, rocks, small bridges, and even a tree with its large branches crawling up the hill that you need to walk between/through. It's a fun hike and after you get exposed to the warm sun you then descend down the loop to a shaded area with a creek where you cool off. You can hear planes but it's still quiet and peaceful.

Nice quiet place with a loop trail. Mostly in the shade with parts near a small creek. Very pleasant.

Beware when wet, it gets really muddy and slippery. Steep but short slopes. Overall fun

Great for a short hike through the canyon. Trails well maintained that gently ascend and descend to a creek.

Love this hike! We've been here a half dozen times now and have never seen it crowded for this hidden gem in the middle of an urban area. This short wooded hike is not difficult, perfect for young kids, and once you find it the first time, it's not so hard to get to and enjoy.

What a gem hidden away in the residential hills of Burlingame. In an instant, you are transported to a different world almost. It's amazing how isolated and serene the ~1.25 mile trail feels and all you hear is birds, rustling leaves, and the wind. As you descend into the lower part by the canyon, you can also hear the gentle flowing water. The vegetation is completely different at the different levels of the loop making it more interesting. The trail itself is not difficult for a person with average fitness and even children (not small ones) but very narrow overall and gravelly in places. Also the brush comes on to the trail in many places so we were concerned about ticks. Overall, a charming quick hike to get some exercise and experience a slice of nature! Highly recommended but preferably not alone or near sunset hours. We didn't see a soul in the one hour we spent there although there were fresh footprints. There was also a coyote warning that kept us a little bit nervous plus it's not too far from mountain lion country (although probably never spotted in this park).

This is one of my favorite neighborhood hikes. The geography is a little bit challenging, you need to pay attention to not trip or hit your head. The vistas and the creek are beautiful.

If you live in the area and have never stumbled upon this pristine, tucked away park, I wouldn't be surprised. Bring your dogs or kids or go solo, it's a fun escape in an otherwise built up neighborhood. If you're planning on heading to the park in the wet season, make sure to wear walking/hiking shoes with some grip as areas tend to get muddy.

Wow! What an oasis in the middle of a beautiful neighborhood! Beautiful views and wildlife. Dogs are both on and off leash. Well maintained trail!

Surprisingly secluded for being amongst homes. It was pretty muddy when we went (due to recent rains); parts of the trail were closed / too muddy to pass without hiking boots. Upside: the creek was lush :)

Great place, but you can get lost if you forget that the California Buckeye sign is the trail spur that takes you back to the parking area on Adeline road.

Hidden gem of a small canyon where you feel miles away from civilization while you're starting at it from the great view points, AND you can take your dog on the short hike too.
