Shafer Contracting

We had Shafer Contracting just remodel our master bathroom and we couldn't be happier with the results. They did a beautiful job. High quality work. The work they did proved that they take pride in what they do and there was no cutting corners. Dean and his crew were readily available to answer any questions we had and the response was quick. Dean is a very friendly and professional. So is his crew, Jon and Val. Jon is very skilled and knowledgeable at what he does. He was great at explaining what they were doing and in giving us progress reports. I really liked that the same people were working on our bathroom from beginning to end rather than a bunch of subs coming in and out of the house. They found some rot and broken pipes while getting into the project and were very reasonable on the extra time and material costs. They made our vision into reality. Thank you Dean, Jon and Val!

Dean's team did a critical safety job for us supporting a failing stairwell to a second story apartment. They started a day early and finished 2 days before schedule. AND I was impressed with their work. Of the contractors I discussed the project with, Dean's proposed fix was the most sensible. I had even started the job already with another contractor who literally just stopped working on it in the middle of the project. Dean stepped right in without saying much about the work in progress and believe me he could have slammed them. In my opinion the work was shoddy. Good form.
I've not been very happy with previous contractors. So this was a delight. I will use Dean again for my next project.

On time and on budget work.

Technicians are knowledgeable and Dean is easy to deal with.

If you need something done (and right away) Dean is your guy.

He recently changed out my water heater and did a great job in less than 1 day. He also corrected some mistakes left behind from the previous installation.

Let me first say that Shafer Contracting was the sixth or seventh contractor I contacted to fix a leaky faucet and install a Luxe bidet. A couple of those who came over wanted over $300 for these easy tasks! And another couple were unreliable flakes.

Dean was very responsible and flexible and was able to schedule a time that worked for me. Lee arrived on time and was very polite and willing to help. He was not familiar with the type of faucet we had but he worked at it patiently until he figured it out. He decided to check to see if cleaning the cartridges would save us from unnecessary expense. The cleaning worked and the faucet no longer leaked. He also installed the bidet very carefully, without rushing. He even took the time to answer some questions we had about our dishwasher, all within the agreed upon hourly rate.

Dean should look into Google Wallet and/or Chase Quickpay as convenient alternatives to cheques. Other than that small hassle, it was a very good experience. I will use Shafer Contracting again.

John and Lee replaced electrical wall double-oven for me and I could not be happier with the outcome. Cabinet cutout alterations were precise and dust-less :) - they used vacuum - no major clean up needed. New oven was installed, assembled, and connected. Work was done fast and professional. Both, John and Lee, are experienced contractors able to find optimal solution for my installation. Easy to get in touch with Dean via phone/e-mail/sms. Prompt billing. Excellent service.

After an extensive search into local contractors I chose Shafer Contracting. My decision was based largley in part to the experience and professionalism of the owner Dean Shafer.

I was looking for a contractor to remodel my mother's bathroom and complete unfinished work from a previous renovation on other parts of the home. I was not let down! From my first visit when I recieved my estimate to the last when I shook his hand for a job well done, I was pleased with the expertise, professionalism, competetive prices and overall work ethic of Mr. Shafer.

If you are interested in a contractor that is knowledgable, hard working, meticulous, clean, respectful of your home, family and time then I would have to recommend Shafer Contracting. In fact I have recommended Shafer Contracting to friends and family and everyone has been pleased with their work.

Good response to my initial inquiry on an electrical job. Pricing structure was simple. Got the job booked within a week, which was fine with me. Dean showed up on time, got started quickly, and he and his assistant finished the job up quickly at a reasonable cost. I would use them again.

Shafer contracting was not the cheapest bid but we were comfortable and confident with Dean who was very attentive to our needs. In the end our expectations were exceeded. We have already made plans for a kitchen renovation in the spring with Shafer Contracting.

Had one of their guys come over today to fix a door I had kicked in. He was a really cool guy, super friendly, honest, and got the job done! I would definitely recommend these guys to my friends. After having gotten flaked on by other repairmen in the previous weeks it was great to be able to call these guys, get an answer, get a quote, and then get a confirmation on day and time. Definitely a five-star rating for me.

Dean and John are very professional. They installed a water pump for me and now I have instant hot water running and would save lot of water per year. And the price is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend shader contracting to my friends.

I recently employed Shafer Construction to remodel my kitchen and bathroom and I must say, they have greatly surpassed my expectations. Their professionalism and service are just excellent. They are definitely one of the best, if not, the best construction provider that I've ever hired.

These guys did an amazing job repairing our house after we had some water damage and had to do a dryout. The price was very reasonable and they even touched up several things we didn't ask them to (like unrelated wall holes). Our house looks better than ever!
