I stay here when I want to hit the nearby bars like Route 92, and it's outstanding here. Fast and professional lobby service (whether it's the on-site manager or their digital check-in kiosk), rooms are clean, well-temperatured (both heat and A/C work great), good bathrooms/showers, USB and 3-pronged charging outlets, free 2 Biscotti/2 pints of water/coffee packs/sugars, mini-fridge, microwave, FreeVee and other streaming services for free on big-screen TV, and comfortable beds. Recommended if you're in San Mateo, comparable to 5-star hotels at a more affordable price.

The room was great and once I got the link for checking in, the rest of the process was fairly easy to navigate. The room was clean and modern, it was fairly easy for my disabled mom to navigate (I had not requested a handicapped accessible room but did get a room on the first floor), and the check out process was simple. The neighborhood seemed a little sketchy as far as walking around by myself, but there were restaurants and a small store within walking distance. Seniore’s pizza (lots of other choices besides pizza) was excellent. I did have minor difficulties in that I did not receive the check-in link at first but once that was ironed out, everything else was pretty straightforward.

We had a great experience! The room was very clean with modern updates. The bed was super comfortable. The room was small but it was perfect for us as we were visiting family in the area and didn’t spend a lot of time in the room…just slept and showered there. We would definitely stay there again.

As expected clean, plenty of parking available, good location links to tour the Bay Area and beyond. Huge to in the room with internet services, shower was fine. Only downside nowhere to put luggage on the last day, no late check out available and safe deposit. Would stay there again

Rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. Outside has kind of a motel vibe. Really good value, I would 100% book here again. I stayed here by myself (female) and felt completely comfortable. I love then it's all virtual check in. You don't have to stand in line to check in, you don't need key cards (key pad lock entry), you don't need to interact with anyone during your stay, and parking is available.

We've stayed at Kasa 4 times and every time was perfection. Easy check-in, clean, quiet and they have a great dog area for our baby!! Great location for close food, grocery store and easy access to the freeways. We will continue to stay there.

Chose to stay here because of the self check in. Wasn't expecting too much after reading some of the reviews. The process was very easy. It was nice for us because we checked in so late (11:30 pm). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water. It was great to have coffee/tea in the morning and a microwave to heat up a bit of breakfast. I would give Kasa a try again if it were available in other places.

Really liked it. Loved that there was laundry. Rooms are compact & efficient. You have everything you need. The check in process is a little weird the first time but we will stay again. What we liked most is that cheap delicious eats were all very easy walk.

The room quality is at the same level with 3 and 4 star hotels. It even has way more necessary appliances, which include a microwave, a little refrigerator, an electric kettle and a nice coffee maker. I’ve stayed at various places from a Best Western to a 5 star hotel but this place is by far the most convenient.

We got 1 free water bottle, no cookie like some other reviews mentioned but that’s totally fine with me.

Great location. Tons of restaurants that are literally next door.

One thing to improve though. I booked via a 3rd party, so it looked like I need to confirm my booking before checking in but we never received any reminder or guidelines to do so. I called the number and a lady helped me through the process. I felt that she just wanted to be done with me lol, kept asking me if she could hang up. I mean this is new to me so please be patient and wait until I get my room number. The call didn’t even last past 10 minutes I believe.

Overall it’s a great stay. I’ll take this place over the Marriott Marquis.

Clean room, clean bathroom, comfy bed. TV, mini fridge and microwave, all that we needed for our short stay. Super easy check in/out, never needed to go to the front desk or even saw any employees except the cleaners. Way cheaper than staying in Half Moon Bay, and close to lots of great food.

Absolutely loved staying here. A bit of luxury at a great price. San Matteo is a great secret tip to visit if you don’t want to head into San Francisco. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance and some pretty neighborhoods just round the corner.

Before we even arrived, I received prompt responses to all my questions via text - I appreciated the help that I received.
Kasa Catrina was easy to find and the location felt safe. The parking spaces are wide enough for a minivan. Some spaces are covered.
Getting into the room was easy, using the provided code. We arrived around 11 pm, and found that the remote check-in was convenient.
The room was clean, with a modern feel. There is a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and electric hot water pot. There were teabags, coffee pods, and one water bottle. I liked the table side lamps that included USB and USB-C ports. We slept well in the comfortable bed.
The next morning, I walked to nearby Heidi’s Pies to get breakfast and brought it back to Kasa to eat in their lounge area. The lounge area also had some table games and an area that you could work from your laptop. There was also a regular size refrigerator/freezer for guests to store food (I’m assuming maybe for guests that stay longer) and a microwave.
Overall, I think Kasa Catrina is a good value and I would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay here. The surrounding area is pretty quiet and very easy to sleep with not a lot of noise. The room was really nice. There were a few small things like the shower being installed the opposite direction for the handle or the sink handle hitting the mirror. Just overlooked design flaws. The last room flaw was the freezer for the fridge wasn't working because the handle was missing. Other then those 3 things it was great. Was able to heat up lots of foods while just chilling. I would give it 4 stars but I had so much fun and was a memorable experience with a friend that came from the east coast I have to give it a 5 star for the discounted price compared to other locations and how well kept the room was despite the small flaws.

Clean, convenient, comfortable bed, nice bathroom ( only complaint, no fan in bathroom, so you open the window while showering. Not a deal breaker), streaming TV. Plus, it was quiet, with good off-street parking, easy secure checkin . All the expected things in the room, microwave, mini fridge, Kurig, tea water kettle, iron, hair dryer, charge ports etc.

Great services, and probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at. You get the same experience as a 4-star hotel. Keurig coffee machine, raw cane sugar, refrigerator, microwave, and not to mention they have all SOFT water system. Blow away for how cheap the price was. Everything was very clean and was the best shower I ever took! Highly recommended this place if you're staying in the area. Also, free laundry room for guests and ice and a place for pets.

The room was clean and updated, the price was reasonable, and it's close to the airport. I also liked that the check-in process was fully online. They send you a code and a room number, which was very easy!

I am a woman in business who travels a lot alone. Safety is a big concern for me and I really enjoyed the contactless check-in so that I may go straight up to my room without having to come in and out of the building for others to see me. I also get off work late so it was awesome to go straight to my room. I had an issue with my parking because I expected to bring my personal car and ended up bringing the company car. They were able to assist me online to get that taken care of immediately which I very much appreciated since it was late at night. I loved the room and the building area was very tidy. Everything was so comfortable and the items they provided were plentiful, not scarce like other hotels. It was definitely worth the price. I plan to stay here again! Thank you!

I really enjoyed the room. It was clean, well kept, our stay was very pleasant. Definitely worth the price! Location is nice too. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of little things, like the ear plugs in case it gets too noisy (it wasn't, but it was a nice just-in-case). Will definitely be back.

I wouldn’t expect luxury but for how cheap the stay was (cheapest one I found), it was quite a lovely option. The bathroom was cute and the location was close to this amazing coffee shop (Kaizen Coffee- get the almond croissant, it’s so yummy!) They send you a code to get into the room so no need to see a receptionist. You do have to send your ID and do a face verification and give your license plate number so you can park without getting towed but it wasn’t a big deal to me. Oh, and our bed was surprisingly comfy.
